Still waiting on stairs, decking, a roof, screens, railing etc. Came back in September asking for more money to get the "rest of the supplies" so he could finish the job and then we never saw him again. Our family is devastated and can't move forward with the money he stole from us. He left us with nearly a 9 foot drop off out of our kitchen door and we have young children. And now he has filed bankruptcy!!! We have learned he has done this to DOZENS of people in Jasper, Kimberly, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Hoover, Alabaster and Pelham. Search his name on Facebook and you will find a post of all the horror stories. I don't want anyone else to lose money and deal with the stress we have dealt with. Run for the hills if you hear is name, dealing with him has been an absolute train wreck!!!

He kept telling me that his guys were on different jobs but just as soon as he could turn a couple loose, they'd be over to get started. This went on for over a month (after they had already gutted this SMALL bathroom). I even went as far as going myself and buying all the material (which he didn't take off the bill). Everyday I would come home from work, go straight to that bathroom, hoping for some sign of something starting. I'd ask my son, "did any workers come today?" Sometimes he'd say, "one guy came, but he was only here for about 30 to 45 minutes, left and said he'd be back, but he didn't." My husband, who works 12 hour days (not counting his driving time) plus two Saturdays a month as maintenance at a steel company, would come in DOG TIRED and do some of the work himself (David didn't take that work off his bill either). I went and purchased the ceramic tile for the floor and guess who laid them? My husband. He borrowed a tile saw from a friend. So in all, after I went myself bought all the materials, and after my husband done part of the work, the bathroom was finished in almost 4 months and David charged me over $4000.00. Believe me, he knows that I can't stand him. Anytime I'd see him out, I'd stare a hole through him. He'd drop or turn his head. Honestly, I wouldn't hire him to build a dog house now. He also cut and installed a few tiles in our main bathroom. He picked up items we weren't able to get. He was punctual and had reserved a spot for our project. He didn't charge extra for the additional work. Although Donnie was very professional, he is a real "people person ". I recommend him for any tiling projects you have.
