We worked together and came up with an overall look for our very large front yard and 100 plus feet of linear flower beds. He came on time when he said he would be here, delivered top rate products and service, answered all of our questions, and was amazing to work with. As we move forward , we are also having him do an entire wraparound patio and outdoor kitchen gazebo set up. I can't recommend them highly enough, and I look forward to working with them in the future.

A few weeks ago I contracted with Innovative Painting and Restoration to have an extensive amount…read moreof work done. This involved complete exterior painting, various external repairs, replacement of a number of windows and reconstruction of a porch and railings. Several weeks of work would be required. As this is a rental property that I would be unable to constantly monitor, regular reports on the progress of the project would be essential. This company was highly recommended to me by local sources. From beginning to end, I could not have been more satisfied with the experience. The company owner Brian Jones was personally on the site and involved with his team on a daily basis. He provided me with a detailed report of all materials and labor at the end of each week, and also contacted me as any questions came up and not even the smallest deviation from the original contract was made without my understanding and approval. The work was completed on schedule, the cleanup was thorough and the results could not be more impressive. I would highly recommend Innovative Painting and Restoration and Brian Jones to anyone in need of the the wide range services they provide. I tend to be wary of the credibility of one or five star reviews, but I can truly not think of a reason to not give this one the best. So five stars it is.

He and the crew gave me a full price estimate and timeline on the project, asking for half the money as a deposit, also to be used for supplies with the other half due at completion. It took me a few weeks to obtain the building permit required for my porch. He kept in contact with me through that process to ensure we were on the same page and he could start as soon as I got everything in order. Brandon and the guys arranged to start on a day that worked for me, starting at around 9am to sunset everyday until both projects were done. They were profession and courteous through the whole job, only leaving behind sawdust in the grass. Great group of guys. I later had them come back to replace an 8x12 section of subfloor, main door to the house and floor tiles for the kitchen/entry way. Same experience as the first job. I have them scheduled again for this spring to renovate two bathrooms and replace some windows. Apex Construction is one of the best representations of a Maine local business I've seen in a long time. You'll end up keeping their phone number in your contacts for your next construction project, for sure. My experience with King Pine and the installation process was honestly better than expected. Zac and the guys showed up on time. They were efficient, respectful and professional. Apparently they…read morenever installed ice stops and the ice pushed our vents and caused leaks through our stove vent. (This caused mold which meant we had to renovate our entire kitchen. That cost $18,000!) We did our best to calk it in the meantime for an immediate fix. Sure enough, it started leaking again into our new kitchen! When we called them about it as the roof is warranteed, the woman who answered the phone referred us to some guy named Toby who used to work with them. He gave us a ridiculous price of $1600.00 to fix the leak and install the ice stops that should have been installed to begin with! We specifically went with Burke's because of the guarantee that the dad, the founder of the company, assured us of when he came out to quote. Apparently the son does not uphold the guarantee and quality that the company earned its reputation on. I still have my paperwork with the guarantee. I want my roof to not leak. I'd rather give my lawyer $1600.00 to get them to stand by their work than to pay some dude named Toby. Their guarantee is garbage. Go with someone else. Edit: 09/25/23 I just received a phone call from Sheryl Burke stating that our problem was from a lack of "maintenance" not their work, therefore they could come out and quote us to do what is needed to fix the leak but that they are more expensive than the quote I got recently. I informed her that this is not an issue of maintenance when they, the roofing professionals, never informed us that we needed additional hardware for a leak-free roof. We assumed that they, the professionals, would know what our roof needed and would include all of this at the time of quote and install. She tried to insinuate that we haggled over price, going with a cheaper option, (we didn't) and she stated that Zach didn't do the work, his dad Mark did. Wrong again, Sheryl. Mark quoted it in June and Zach did it in October. The bottom line: don't trust them to do what is needed, don't trust them to inform you of what is needed, and certainly don't trust them to stand by their assurance of a leak-free roof.
