It rained about a week after the installation and I had water running down from between the gutters and the facia of my roof ! I called him and made him aware of the problem that day! He said he would be coming to fix the problem within a week! After he didn't show up I called him again and he said he had been on an alaskan cruise and would be coming out the next week. I've called him several times over the months and sent him videos of the problem trying to get him to come back and fix the problem and he still hasn't shown up !! Before he started doing the work I asked if he was experienced in putting gutters on homes with metal roofs and he said he had done several projects that had metal roofing ! I'm afraid that with all the water getting behind my gutters that I will eventually be having a problem with a rotting fascia and having to replace my roof that's attached to the fascia and drip edge that holds the roof in place!

Gave wrond building definitions and omitted multiple major structure details from the permit request all together. Automatic roll up door, plumbing details, stairwell, attic decking for storage There was no actual work done at my home as agreed, no materials delivered, he then refused to work under our original contract without $6,000 in additional funds prior to stepping foot on my property tondona single day worth of work. Let's not forget to mention that the demand for additional money was for slab work that was included in the contract. He tried to be slick and I didn't allow it. Later he stated a partial refund was in process. Never gave refund. It is approaching 300 days since he took my money with a smile on his face and then turned in my opinion as what I would best describe as a very spoiled toddler. Tantrums included. I know from my experience that this guy told me what I wanted to hear and flipped his personality after he had my money. This is my personal experience with Gerald and does not reflect how he has treated mutliple other customers that have alleged accounts of his personnal and business behaviors being similar in nature. My situation does not mean that he would treat potential customers the same in the future. What im saying is this.. if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, its a good idea not to feed that duck any of your . Gerald is human he doenst quack so ducks are irrelevant. We hired PGC Installation / Gerald to repair our home after hurricane Helene . The project is not…read morefinished to date . Gerald always has an excuse why he or his guys cannot do what they were paid for and agreed to. We attempted to work with Gerald in the beginning . Guy never showed when he said he would. There is always a reason work cannot be done ie waiting on permits , the batch plant was behind , the lumber mill was behind , he was running behind. The small amount of work that was done was substandard . When you question him about his/his guys work he will lead with trying to berate you. As he is the licensed and bonded expert. They laid shingles over partially repaired structure , of course no drip edge , ridge vent severely off Centered and I was told that he was the professional and he was satisfied because the was the only licensed residential builder in the conversation. When I told him that I had other roofing companies come inspect to see how much it was gonna cost me to clean up his mess he said that he would sue the other companies if they said his work was substandard. ( Several VERY reputable roofing companies ) wanted no part of doing the roof after looking at the structural repairs that PGC made and wrote letters to show the reasons that they wouldn't accept the work . PGC used previously used synthetic membrane from the tear off with holes in it with the previous roofing companies logo on it to repair a leak in the synthetic membrane that they installed. The roof was left with no shingles and only said membrane for almost two weeks . The day they removed the shingle's from the roof they left piles of shingles and nails in front of both entrances to the home. We had to tell him that we didn't feel comfortable that one of the two gentlemen tearing off the roof had a baby crying in the truck parked in my front yard when I came home from work. It was immediately brought to his attention because that is a liability that I was not willing to shoulder .It took MONTHS to pour a 16x20 concrete pad for my out building that still stands empty ( as in no building or even the materials that were paid for) . We rented a VBRO for almost two months during the time that he was scheduled ( a timeline he agreed to with the insurance company I might add )to repair the inside of the home and replace the duct work. Never worked on our home during the time table that HE set . He also asked for an extension and never showed then either . We retained an attorney and sent a right to cure letter which is required by the state of South Carolina to before you can terminate a contract and sue a contractor. The process server could not locate him at the address on his contract , nor the address that is registered with the state to serve him with a lawsuit .Then we attempted to tap his bond ,he is bonded but not for the amount that he signed that he had with our bank. The bond was denied because he claims he was fired with no right to cure letter . The last interaction we had with Gerald he used inflammatory statements and then used his phone to PARTIALLY record part of the response to try and say he was fired. I have every text , email , picture, document to back every statement that has been made in this review. I will gladly meet him for a day in court if he should ever choose to show up and be a man and accept responsibility for his and his companies actions . If anyone has any questions I will be glad to prove EVERY statement that has been made here. Steer clear of this company make sure you look further than the google reviews you will find similar stories. It is only fair that the CSRA should know and see the work of PGC Installation so that they can make an informed decision . Overhead is about 10%, with profit somewhere 10-20%. So, when this snake told me is going to take most of the day, the quote for $1200 makes sense.
