I had a wonderful experience with these guys, from purchase to delivery. I drove out to the Rita yard because it was a Sunday and they were the only place in town open. I brought some rocks from my yard, handed them to the guy behind the counter, and he said this looks like a Coronado 1/2 inch blah blah blah, and showed me what he was talking about and they looked very similar. I had done no prep work and thus had not measured a single thing - I asked the guy helping me what a ton of gravel looks like, and he said he was like a bath tub full, which was helpful but I think that his bath tub must be a jacuzzi tub with jets because we def do not have the same size bath tub! So anyways, I ballparked and said gimme 7 tons of gravel for my side yard/dry lake thing in my yard. He said if you get home, you can measure and call us back, and we can change it. Naturally I completely did not, so 7 tons of gravel it is! So anyways, the delivery guy calls me right on time (Thursday at 1015, for delivery around 1030-11). So the deliver guy gets here, and I said look, I would love if you could split the gravel half in my front yard, half in the back, but the back yard has a real obstacle course with a gas line, some telephone poles, etc. He says hey, let's give it a try, worst case scenario we have to put it all in front. He did some serious gymnastics and got the truck practically on my side yard which was amazing. Then he brought the truck round and dropped the rest in the front. Smashing work, and is definitely going to be a life saver! All that to say I am super thrilled with these guys - very friendly at all points, and I am super pleased with the product. Will go here for all my gravel/rock/boulder needs.

This was a big project that included trimming an Elm and five Palo Verdes (four are in the alley),…read moreinstalling a patch of grass for our dogs and tortoise, moving existing rock from back to the alley and from front to back, installing ground cover pea gravel in back and carport path, installing small river rock as ground cover in front and drainage creeks in back, and installing large river rock as the border for all of the front. Seeing what good work he was doing we added on a hardscape pad for our larger BBQ. This all started with Miguel responding to my inquiry quickly and giving me an on-site bid within a few days. We discussed price and timing and he disclosed that he was expecting a baby and might need time off around that time. Our schedule was flexible and we were happy to accommodate the birth of his newborn son. We have lots of photos. You won't believe how much hair he had at birth! :) Way beyond doing a great job on the project, I found Miguel to be a good communicator, professional, intelligent, and thoughtful. He also has excellent taste in terms of what would look good and we nearly always deferred to his good judgment. I first noticed his thoughtfulness and his "eye" when he was trimming the Palo Verdes and the Elm. He's not a professional tree trimmer but he did an outstanding job! Our yard is now easy maintenance, but I'd use him again in a heartbeat!

Requested an appointment for a review of my yard and quote for work. They responded very quickly,…read morewhich I thought was a good sign. Two hours before the scheduled appointment I received an email canceling due to family issues and asking me to send photos of the yard instead. I preferred to have someone inspect in person so we rescheduled for a later date. I received an email 40 minutes before the new appointment asking if we're still on. I replied yes. 90 minutes after the designated appointment time I got another email saying he'd just received my confirmation and could we reschedule again. I chose to cut my losses and have begun looking for another company.
