I was also "that lady" who took the neck strap off to avoid tan lines...needless to say, my phone went into the Hudson River without me realizing it! Ethan and his crew were so kind during my personal meltdown, mostly due to me kicking myself for being so careless. They had a group of 80 after us, but assured me they would all look out for it as they had an idea where I dropped it. We called every half hour in the hopes one of the other crews may have discovered the phone, and at 4:50, my husband's phone rang with the amazing news that the phone was found safely! All 3 of our guides looked and I cannot express how grateful I am to them all!! Personal tragedy aside, our entire group said the lazy river was the best part of our trip, and we have already recommended AAC to friends who are traveling to Lake George in the coming weeks! This is the second year I've gone rafting with this group and I love it. First of all, I love how…read morethey are so organized and how they emphasize safety AND fun. This activity is good for families and friends. If you're going with children, make sure that you have enough adults to paddle with you for a more exciting and safer experience. Second of all, I have never experienced surfing on a raft until I went with this group! The 4-5 hour drive from the city is totally worth it. It is such a cool experience to surf the raft in the surf holes. Our guide, Mark, is so experienced that we were able to surf almost all the surf holes and enjoy the rush of water as we were surfing. The experience was a good mix of adrenaline rush and relaxation. There were parts where we just freely swam in the water, there was a part where we jumped off an 8-foot rock, there was also a part where you can ride the front of the boat as if you were riding a mechanical bull. This is going to be an annual trip and I look forward to the next year! I forgot to mention - their porta potty's are the cleanest porta potties I have ever seen in my life. They have hand sanitizers and all the supplies you need.

Fun songs, dad jokes told better, and I love to her say "Keep paddlin." Lori "Loves to SURF" . This is the best time in the Hudson. We spent several minutes in "Fluffy Box" and she even got the raft turned around!!! We also made it into Bus Stop and got in some good surf there as well. But wait - there's more! We went down Jiffy Pop Backwards!!!!! Bestest Ginger snaps and other super healthy lunch options too, washed down with yummy hibiscus pink tea. So - if you want the small company vibe that cares about you as a participant and partner, Square Eddy is the way to go.

In the short amount of time we spent with the owners, we got to know them and their friends very well. Linc was our guide and he was full of knowledge and information. He was also a tremendous guide as far as rafting is concerned. The lunch we all shared was homemade and delicious. The cookies we had were incredible. The fresh fruit was a nice touch too. In total there were 4 rafts and approximately 20 people. We didn't need to wait around for anyone and the entire operation felt smooth and well-planned. These guys were wonderful every step of the way. While the experience is incredible, the great staff made this whole day truly special. Everything for our white water rafting adventure was taught to us and explained in great detail. Everyone felt comfortable. Equipment was kept in great shape, and we felt confident in the gear and the staff. The staff were also really funny, making everyone feel welcome. We rode a shuttle to our put-in site, and we carried the rafts down to the river. Shortly after, we were on the water going through class three rapids, and it was a blast! Going for a swim in the calm sections surrounded by wilderness was incredible! The water gun fights between groups was also great fun. Overall, I would do this again time and time again. We had a group of 8 and were the only ones on the river at that time of that particular day. Dylan was our guide and he was fantastic! He made sure we were safe, but that we had the times of our lives. It was a sunny, warm summer day. But not too warm that the water felt warm. We did some swimming next to the boat, some jumping off, some cliff jumping a little over halfway into the trip(which lasted about 5 hours total), stopped for a snack of juice and cookies then had an amazing dinner at the end! They even had a meal ready for my vegetarian kid! They even have a photographer taking your picture from the sides as you're going down and the price for the pictures at the end was super reasonable! I can't say enough how great it was. I recommend them to everyone who asks where they should go.

Jones V has sadly passed away on the evening of August 18, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He died doing something he truly enjoyed. Thomas graduated from South Glens Falls in 2006 and continued on to get an Associate's degree from ACC. After graduating from ACC, he worked at Trustco bank in South Glens Falls for a short time until he realized that he had to follow his dreams. Five years ago, he decided he wanted to open his own business and that is when Devocean Watersports was born. He managed to put together a great team of employees that helped him with boat charters and jet-ski tours on Lake George, out of the hotel "Twin Birches." Thomas loved his business and put everything he had into it. His smile and enthusiasm was infectious to everyone he met along his journey in life. He really enjoyed teaching people how to do things that was out of their norm. Thomas also made many friends down in Marathon within the keys were he went every winter, enjoying life to the fullest. He was predeceased by his father Thomas P. Jones IV. Thomas is survived by his mother Denise Jones, his brother Patrick Jones, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowen and two uncles Christopher and Bob Bowen.
