They have more of middle eastern spiced taste. It kind of reminds me of the taste of "Riz w Shaaariyeh (vermicelli rice)" that my childhood babysitter from Lebanon used to make me. The rice is a nicely prepared with fantastic texture and just the right amount of squeakiness to them all the while still soft and pillowy.
