It’s an honor for me to invite you to my family home — a place built in 1896 by the hands of my great-great-grandfather, Franciszek. He crafted the beams, the roof, and even the furniture that still furnish this tavern today. Thanks to his dedication and passion, I can now host you in a place filled with memories and warmth.
This is not just an ordinary restaurant. It’s a home where every brick and every beam has a story to tell. You can even see the original serving window in the brick wall, reminding us of the old tavern that once operated here in the interwar period.
I wanted you to feel at home here — to enjoy dishes prepared according to my family’s recipes. Here you can taste sour rye soup (żurek) made with a starter just like my grandmother taught me, homemade lard with pickled cucumbers from Charsznica, slow-cooked meats with potatoes baked in a bread oven, and pancakes and pudding exactly the way I remember them from my childhood.
Every bite is a journey back in time, and every visit is a new story I want to share with you. If you’re looking for a place that combines flavor with history and a truly homely atmosphere, I’m sure Karczma Rogata will be a unique discovery for you.
I warmly invite you — come and experience the true taste of history.
