Zen is easily on part or above most top end sushi place in terms of prep and clearly at the top of the list in Poland regarding ingredients... this isn't the fish market on Tokyo (where I ate last week) but for Europe it's great. Also be sure to check out their little Japanese runs upstairs. I didn't even realize they were there until yesterday. Wow... I bookmarked this restaurant before leaving Tampa because of its authentic looking Taiwanese menu items. It was such a treat to finally try this type of cuisine. It's a self-service restaurant. Just find a seat, browse the menu, and order at the counter. They'll buzz you when it's ready. It wasn't a busy time of day (about 2pm). They actually brought everything to our table. I'm not sure how it works when it's super busy. Our tea drinks were the first to be delivered. My Lychee Green Tea was so refreshing. It had lots of lychee pulp, and definitely very natural. My husband actually liked his black tea. He's not usually a bubble tea drinker so the tea with no boba was perfect for him. We both ordered the Taiwanese Wonton Soup with pork. He decided to go with the menu suggestion of spice level 2. He was very happy with the spice. I added a few drops of Papa Lee's chili sauce to give my soup a little kick of heat. It really does make it more flavorful. The wontons were absolutely delicious & tasty. It was an amazing amount of pork filling. The noodles and wontons are definitely homemade. I love that there was a good amount of bok choy and edamame as well. It was comfort food at its best. I'd order the exact same thing all over again in a heartbeat. I'm kicking myself for not trying the fried chicken. Maybe next time. The atmosphere seemed authentic as well. The shared tables are separated by table dividers. I really like that there are handbag hooks on the wall. That's a nice touch. The backless triangular bar stools are very uncomfortable. That is my only gripe. Why not invest in Japanese ones? Unless it's meant to be that way so that people don't overstay their welcome. Otherwise, the staff were all very polite and service (for self-serve) was great. The menu is so tempting that I always want to order about 10 dishes (excluding sushi) which would be very expensive so I don't and feel like it was too expensive, even though I wouldn't be able to eat it all. Main courses could be a bit bigger though, even if it was just more rice. Memo to self: order a big binge feast there sometime with at least 10 dishes and take a hungry friend.

I wish they only had a single pot because the spicy half was totally wasted on us since neither of us can tolerate spice. Sake was nice, but wish they had warm sake as an option. Ambiance was very Japanese-like with classic Japanese decors. Waitress spoke English and was very attentive to our needs. She refilled our broth multiple times. I couldn't stop laughing about his surprised look. So please leave all your silly prejudices about how vegetarian or vegan food taste by the door and just enjoy the amazing menu here for what it is, really great plant-based Asian food for all senses. Despite being unimpressed by the food, I had a positive experience at Tao overall. Firstly, that's because I got to drink a beer on a swing. Second, the beer showed up accompanied by a big bowl of wasabi peas--and I love wasabi peas. Third, there were bunnies in the garden. Inside I tend to sit (or rather kneel) at the low table in a nice little curtained-off "booth" overlooked by a buddha. The whole place is beautifully decorated and the calming music and efficient service will ensure you leave the restaurant calm and having achieved inner peace with yourself. The sushi here is fantastic. I usually opt for the 26 piece samurai set (there are cheaper lunchtime deals at an even more reasonable price). Desserts are nice. There is a green theme going on here, you can order such delights as green tiramisu, green creme brulee and green lemonade. If you're not into sushi there are other options, I quite enjoyed the ramen burger, a normal burger but with a bun made of noodles instead of bread. To sum up, I love this place.
