Located in downtown Hillsboro, we serve clients from Hillsboro, Beaverton, Aloha, Forest Grove, and the greater Portland area. For clients traveling out of state we offer longer back to back sessions.

Established in 2012, Cypress Tattoo was founded with the goal of creating a clean, welcoming, and artist-driven space for custom tattoo work in Hillsboro. The shop is owned and operated by an artist with over 23 years of professional tattooing experience, bringing deep knowledge, craftsmanship, and dedication to every piece.
The journey began in 2000, when the owner Mickey Warner completed an apprenticeship under Donald Deaton of Sea Tramp Tattoo School, one of Oregon's most respected and long-standing tattoo shops. That foundation in classic technique, discipline, and artistic integrity continues to shape the work done at Cypress Tattoo today.
From day one, the focus has been quality, originality, and treating each client with care and respect. Over the years, Cypress Tattoo has grown into a trusted shop in downtown Hillsboro, known for its high quality back and grey realism, Neo classical sculpture, fine-line work, color designs, and custom tattoos tailored to each client's vision.
Meet the Business Owner: Mickey W.
With more than 23 years of professional tattooing experience, Mickey Warner owner of Cypress Tattoo brings a deep passion for classical art, clean technique, and client-focused design to every piece. Beginning his tattoo career in 2000, he completed an apprenticeship under Donald Deaton at Sea Tramp Tattoo School, one of Oregon's oldest and most respected tattoo studios. That foundation in tattoo history, discipline, craftsmanship, and old-school tattoo traditions continues to shape his work today.
Specializing in photorealism, fine-line detail, black & grey, realistic color, and custom designs, he takes pride in creating tattoos that hold meaning, flow with the body, and age beautifully. His approach centers on listening first, designing with intention, and delivering clean, precise, long-lasting tattoos in a safe and welcoming environment.
