Infinity old fashioned and espresso martini
    Zac E.

We came to Cypress for happy hour and had a great time. We chose the espresso martini and the infinity old fashioned, both of which hit the spot. The Brussel sprouts came out perfect and I'd highly suggest trying them, and my wife was a big fan of the deviled eggs. The open kitchen next to the bar really adds a touch to the experience of the restaurant. Overall, 5 stars for Cypress. And a special thanks to Shea for her awesome service at the bar!

This place is a hidden gem! We sat at the bar and Shay took care of us. She was amazing! So knowledgeable and attentive! The drinks were perfect and the apps so flavorful! I definitely recommend going for happy hour. The website is wrong so hear me now.... Happy hour is M-F 12-530!!!!! The weekend is 330-530. This is a definite stop for us in the future when we are in town!

The food was SO GOOD! I love this restaurant!! Low country food in the mountains of Colorado!!!!! Try it! Love it, we'll be back again!!

    Our 35th anniversary champagne toast!

We celebrated our 35th anniversary dinner at Cypress and everything was amazing! Johrene was our server and she was lovely. They treated us to a delicious apple crisp dessert as well as a champagne toast in celebration of our 35th anniversary. I ordered steak and my husband ordered a burger. Everything was absolutely delicious! We also got the deviled eggs as an appetizer. The sides were delicious as well, broccoli and local squash grilled to perfection! We highly recommend Cypress!

Cesar salad was mid and the lettuce leaf was too gigantic. BLAST sandwich was not bad. The hot honey chicken sandwich was good, but a hot honey was really messy and made the bread soggy. Amaretto sour was 10/10 would get again. However, clarified milk punch AVOID AT ALL COST. Devil eggs and Brussels sprouts were yummy. Eggs were really salty though. Service was kinda awkward. The restaurant was cozy and clean!!

Old Fashioned. Really delicious I do wish it had a cherry.

Great ambiance. Quiet for Steamboat. Good service. We ordered the red fish which was excellent I forgot to take a photo and the burger. The fries were great. The deserts were pretty good. I feel the ice cream served with each of the deserts could be improved upon. We will definitely be back to try some other menu items. Thank you for the revamp!

We showed up again the next day about 30 min before close and the staff was super nice and didn't make us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. The beer was ice cold, hot toddy's were customizable and delicious, and burgers were yummy and worth the return trip. I gave this a 4 star only because the sweet potato fries were oddly large, tasteless, and overcooked along with the chili which was incredibly dry and basically inedible. I'm thinking this was because of how late we showed up though so I won't hold that against them. The rest of our visit was amazing so we will definitely be back!

The bar area with the TV seems a little out of place, but I like sports so I'm good with it. The staff were incredibly, incredibly knowledgeable about their food. Most knowledgeable waitress I've probably ever encountered. We ordered the Wild Mushroom Arancini and Whipped Feta & Bruschetta for the table and together they were the perfect appetizer for four people. I'm usually not a fan of wild mushrooms, but it worked well with the crispy arancini. The whipped feta & bruschetta was a nice cooling change of pace, but I wish they gave you a couple more bread bits. For an entree I went with the interesting pork cheeks. They are literally pig cheeks, like the cheeks from their face. And I absolutely loved them! They reminded me a bit of chicharrones, but softer. They were supposed to be sriracha based, but I barely tasted sriracha, so that left me wanting more. The broccolini made up for it, but that's because broccoli/lini makes everything better. Definitely make this a stop when you're in Steamboat Springs.

The food was good, no complaints there but unfortunately the service was lacking. We arrived on a Friday around 6 PM with no reservations. We spoke to the host and he added us to the waitlist. It was a 15-20 minute wait and we received a text that our spot at the bar was ready in just under 15 minutes. When we returned, there was a wait to speak to the host. Two parties in front of us. We waited. When it was finally our turn to speak to him a couple came rushing down the stairs, cut in front of us and headed to the open spots at the bar. The host proceeded to ignore us and instead sat the couple who didn't have a reservation and was not on the waitlist at those bar spots. I spoke up and said we had just received a text that they were ready to seat us, luckily two additional spots opened shortly afterwards but it really rubbed us the wrong way that the host completely ignored us after we had been waiting in line to help people who just walked in and cut the line. Another thing that wasn't great is that the host brought that couple menus and did not bring us any. We had to get up and ask him for some. Finally, the service at the bar was terrible. We had to ask to order and the bartender never asked if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. I've worked as a server before and I know the bartenders get very busy but we didn't even get the bare minimum. When it was time to pay and tip, the bartender filled our beer glass halfway... I assume as a "sorry for neglecting you, please still give me a good tip". Overall just a very disappointing experience from a customer service standpoint.

The cheese was a white cheese and so flavorful--perfect start to the meal. For my main dish, I ordered the shepherd's pie, and wow... it was hands down the best shepherd's pie I've ever had in my life. The seasoning was spot-on, the meat and vegetables underneath were perfectly cooked, and the creamy mashed potatoes on top tied everything together beautifully. I also tried my friend's cheesy macaroni topped with buffalo chicken, and oh my God--it was amazing. Super cheesy, creamy, and the buffalo chicken paired perfectly with the mac and cheese. Every bite was great. Honestly, everything we ordered was a hit. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and an awesome location.
