I moved to Merced during the pandemic and struggled to find a gym that I felt could be a place of community and a place where my trainer was passionate with helping me achieve my goals, until I met Justin. He is so knowledgeable with his movement anatomy that I always walk out of my sessions feeling strong rather than feeling beat up and depleted (but don't get me wrong- his workout will get your heart pumping and your body sweattttin!). He listens when you have injuries and very versed in giving you options for modification that produces the same results. I've been consistently going to his group training weekly for a few months now and I have felt such a difference in how I move my body at work. I'm not easily tired after working and see a progression in my strength in how I am carrying my body in space. I felt such a difference that my husband and brother in law are now consistently coming along! I highly recommend Justin's classes for anyone who is looking to improve their lifestyle and physical resilience- especially when your job requires hard labor- he will help you build your strength to keep your body's momentum. I've always been heavy but never really did much to change. A few years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes, and tried for a year to lose weight to no avail. Last year I seen a video of accelerate performance commercial on Facebook with a not in shape person working out. I said to myself that's the type of gym that I would want to be a part of. They are not pushing the meat market, tight body. Since I have started With Accelerate Performance I am able to come off of the diabetic medication's. The Trainers at Accelerate Performance are the Bomb! Tamika and Hibran are knowledgeable, encouraging and yet push you to be better, not only physically but mentally. They help you to believe in yourself! I've been going twice a week for 1 hour and have lost over 60lbs. My body fat has dropped dramatically, my strength, endurance and cardio are amazingly high. My knee pain is gone as well. Tamika not only works you out but also guides with your nutritional needs. First of all, if you're a noob, don't be scared. The people here are the kinds of people that will make you grow smarter and stronger. If you don't get stronger, neither do they. So you WILL be able to learn. BJJ takes time to get good at. I'm just a blue belt, but even THAT took me years to obtain. And I still suck a*s. But if you keep coming here, you will become a better person. Second, Professor Marcos is a very good man. He sticks up for the little guys and will make sure you are ALWAYS safe while rolling. If some bigger person is slamming you to the ground, Marcos will put an end to it. And if not him, then someone else will. Marcos cares about everyone, and it shows. Marcos teaches the most realistic moves for self-defense, and he knows A LOT. Third, the people here are amazing. Amy working the front desk is dope. Dragon is super dope. Everyone here is dope. I'm not sure who still attends this place, but I'm sure the rest of the people there all have a good heart. I never encountered a bully when I attended here. I'm not sure the price nowadays, but it's still dirt cheap for the quality of training you will receive here. I have attended a Ralph Gracie gym, and it was trash. Super expensive, and I encountered bullies there. This place is not only reasonably priced; you also get great friends here. No bullies go here. I miss this place. About once a year you can train with Grandmaster Flavio Behring. If you've never met him, you must. It's an amazing and unforgettable experience that not even the "Gracie's" can brag about. Another perk is that you can attend the other gyms affiliated with this place. Like the Oakdale gym. I hate the Central Valley, so I'll never live here again. But if you're in the area and you're looking for a place to train, this is it ladies and gentlemen. You have the BEST MMA gym in CA right here in the middle of nowhere Merced. Any UC kid reading this should check it out. Your first class is free.

I found this out after calling for several days and receiving a message from presumably the new owner of the number. Also, never seen a staff member anytime I've entered. There is zero communication from their side. I've exhausted all other options. I'm using this review as a last resort because I've seen another reviewer have the same issue and had it resolved for them. If a staff member or someone could please reach out and help me cancel I will gladly remove this review and/or amend it. User beware: don't apply for this gym if you value customer service. It seems they sure don't.
