Every instructor and employee is very kind and friendly and the owner, Judy, is so willing to work with you on pretty much anything. Beware if you're on ClassPass!!! Doesn't matter if you're 9 minutes and 59 seconds early to class and have 1,000 rides under your belt somewhere else-- if it's your first class at *this* studio, they will no show you and you won't be able to come to class. Went for my first ride here recently. It was Taylor Swift Breakup Song themed, so I had to try it! Everyone was so friendly and helped me figure out how to set everything up. The workout is hard, but the 45 minutes flies by since the energy is high and the music is fun. read more

Wanted to try out cycle bar and they told me to arrive early at 6:20 to sign in. (10 min before the class starts) It was heavy raining and I walked in the door 1 minute late. It changed from 6:20-6:21 on my watch. I'm very punctual so I checked. The lady at the front immediately looks at me and says "are you new trying to sign in." I said yes and gave her my name and she says "I'm sorry you are one minute late unfortunately due to our policy we needed you to be here at 6:20. I will mark you as a no show and you can come back another day." I explained to her about the rain and told her I drove 30 minutes to this class to attend with my friend. She insisted that due to me being one minute late I would have to come to another class. Also was also so incredibly rude. For a company that wants to charge $160 a month on top of penalizing for late fees/cancellation you sure are rude to new people! read more

Just moved to the Greenville area this month and took advantage of their free first class offer. I'm glad I did because immediately after bought the unlimited membership and have been going multiple times a week. I want to give a shout-out to Judy, the GM. I had to put my account on freeze while I was in CA for a few months. Working with Judy has been great. Without hesitation she answered my questions and had frozen my account. I noticed that a payment went through to CycleBar and I contacted her saying "Hey, account is frozen!" & she instantly refunded me. Thanks great management! I never felt bad for asking to get it canceled and I loved that she worked with me. In terms of CycleBar and it's instructors - fabulous. It's my favorite place to get a high intensity sweat session in. During Covid, they spaced out the bikes (which I personally love because now I'm not accidentally bumping elbows with my neighbor). I love the atmosphere and I love the different classes that they offer. Hands down, I will always recommend this place to my friends. They are friendly, it's clean, and it's just a lot of fun. read more

We had a Yelp Elite Event here and it was so much fun. The staff is enthusiastic, encouraging and just plan FUN. I expected to be in abject pain the next day but NEVER experienced any pain or stiffness. I knew NOTHING about these cycling places so didn't know what to expect. Let me tell you, it's like nothing I've ever experienced before: close to an hour of high intensity cycling, upbeat music, light show and a leader to encourage, call the moves, and get us pumpling...literally and figuratively. But at my age, I'm more in favor of calmer excercise, such as aerobics or yoga. For all you younger folk, please reserve a bike and give CycleBar a try. Shoes are provided so you don't have to fret about that; lockers are provided; towels are provided. Who could ask for anything more? read more

I love cycle-bar. I didn't think I would because I thought cycling just focused on legs but all of the instructs lead you through different moves to engage core and arms too. Your first day get there early so they can show you how to set up the bike and you can start to warm up. They offer snacks and beverages to buy there and the music is always bumping. I love the themed rides and each playlist is fun. Highly suggest getting into this community. Can't wait to hit my 100th ride! read more

I have never been to a specialized cycling studio before. I have taken professional cycling classes at group fitness conferences and even teach cycling myself. Still, it was a completely different experience visiting Cyclebar. I attended a free ride hosted by lululemon. Kristi was the instructor that day. I was greeted by Ray who guided me through the check in process and handed me a pair of cycling shoes, and showed me around the facility. This place has amenities upon amenities. It's very high end. Towel service in the locker rooms, hair ties, ear plugs if you aren't a fan of super loud beats during your workout, chilled water, and bananas after class are among the things you can expect from Cyclebar. I am also not a big fan of what I like to call "woo" instructors. Instructors that merely provide the occasional "woo" as encouragement and do not provide valuable feedback and form cues. Kristi was a great workout guide. If you choose, you can opt to have your stats displayed on a screen during class. You have access to your watts, distance traveled and calories burned according to the weight that you provide when registering for class. This is great if you are a numbers motivated person. read more

Cyclebar Hillcrest is my happy place. I have never had a less than stellar experience at this studio. Each and every one of my 400 rides (and counting) has been motivating, exhilarating, challenging, and FUN! This is the first time I have ever genuinely enjoyed exercise. When I come to Cyclebar Hillcrest, I feel seen and valued. I feel strong and powerful and empowered. You can tell that the instructors love what they do. Every instructor has their own distinct style of moves and music. There are plenty of class times to choose from. If you've never tried cycling classes, Cyclebar is the place to start. If you've tried cycle and didn't like it, it's because you didn't go to this studio. Try Cyclebar out! You will sweat. You will laugh. You will dance. And you'll come back for more. Super excited about this place! They are offering FREE UNLIMITED classes for 10 days (til the end of the month). They are offering a special of 10 classes for $10 each. This is perfect for if you just want to test this out to see if this is a good fit for you. I've been to tons of cycling classes over the years and I can tell you they really know how to make the cycling experiencing excellent. Instructors are la creme de la creme. Music and energy is on point which is really critical to make the most out of your workout. You also get a 4 or 6lbs weight bar for the arm workout portion of the class - unique. They even lend you cycling shoes so you don't have to lug yours around - unique. They have a variety of times for the busy working bees. My only grievance is that the bikes are super close to each other...it's hard to even walk between them to get to your bike especially if you are in the back row. But, that's not enough for me to downgrade the rating. read more

By far the most fun and most organized workouts/studios I've ever had. Imagine an actual night club meets a spinning class/studio...that's what you get at CycleBar. As a play on the name, some classes even end with drinks. The instructors seem like they are having a blast and everyone leaves class drenched in sweat. Once you start going regularly, you'll start learning the styles of the instructors (music choice, ability to stay on rhythm, workouts, etc.). Check it out and have a great (sweaty) time! read more

CycleBar is a fun place to go, but it's even more fun if you have an awesome instructor like Kendra! Kendra is amazing, she has an undeniable gift for motivating others and is so fun to be around! Now, let's talk about how awesome her classes are, she WORKS you, you WILL sweat, but you ABSOLUTELY will have a blast!!!! She knows how to make everyone feel welcome, no matter their fitness level, and is so kind!! I wish she had more classes!!!!!!!!!!!! What an incredible and FUN workout - our instructor was super personable, upbeat and encouraging during our ride. I have heard so many good things about the Cycle Bar and I wasn't disappointed! The music beat and neon light changes during the ride kept it interesting. I didn't feel pressured to go beyond what I was capable of doing, but definitely wanted to do my best and keep up with her as best I could! The indoor/outdoor feel of the CycleBar is so refreshing and is a great place to just hang out with your friends before/after a ride. They provide towels for sweat and also a water bottle - so you don't have to bring your own. They also have lockers for your personal belongings. A little area has some promotional items that actually looked really cute. Would love to go back soon and burn some more calories! read more

I signed up for a free class sponsored by Yelp and I enjoyed it that I came back for more . The music keeps you going and the very energetic instructors do a fine job of getting you pumped to give it your all. By the end of the class you'll be sweating buckets but feel great that you survived an awesome workout. The studio is very clean. They provide you with a locker which you can program the locks. No need to bring your own lock for it. The lockers itself have USB plugs to charge your phone while you're working out. They provide towels and bike shoes for the class. Chilled H2O is available and usually there's a bowl of fruit or some snacks that you can partake after class. And for some classes, looks like they have provisions from local breweries for everyone to enjoy after. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a non traditional/typical gym to workout. read more

Without Yelp, I would never have known this place existed! The CycleBar experience is definitely great for those who need some motivation to push through a workout. The staff here is all super friendly, and they know how to play the right music and keep you motivated through your spin class, even if you walk in feeling not so excited to get moving (definitely speaking from personal experience here). They have their own parking lot, and if it gets full, it's not right off Main Street, so it's not too hard to find street parking for a couple hours. The facility is nice and clean, and they have lockers where you add your own code, so you don't need to being your own Master Lock or have to keep track of a key, which is great. They have shoes for you to wear, and these shoes magnetically lock in to the pedals so it's hard for them to "slip off" mid-workout. They have towels, which you will need, and their seat and handlebar heights are adjustable. When you check in online, you can pick a seat number. The room has three levels of seats so you can see from anywhere, and so long as you check in and sit at the right bike, it tracks your stats for you and you get a post-workout e-mail telling you how many calories you burned, average RPMs, class rank, etc. It's another pretty cool way to keep you motivated, if the awesome instructors and fun music aren't already enough! The classes have TVs that show your stats during the class, if you'd like, as well. (Online form says it's optional). Definitely worth checking out as an alternative to a gym!!! They have lots of new student specials, PLUS they offer a free intro class every week if you're too scared to commit without trying. read more

I absolutely love and recommend CycleBar Greenville! It is SUCH a great cardio workout, and I love that it is low impact so it isn't hard on my knees like running or other workouts. The instructors are amazing at leading the workouts and motivating me to definitely push myself so much further than I do on my own (Laura and Nam are my favs)! Awesome cycle spot! Great location centrally located downtown. All of the instructors are equally amazing. Their personalities come out in their music selections. The staff is more than helpful when you need it. This studio is always in immaculate condition. They offer fresh fruit daily. They have classes throughout the entire day from early morning to later in the evening. You are sure to find a class that works with your schedule. New Year, New Us, New healthy event at CYCLEBAR with some fellow Yelpers! The staff was extremely knowledgeable (and encouraging) starting with check-in, lasting all the way through the workout, to snacks afterwards. Once we confirmed our bike number, we were given loaner cycling shoes, towels and water, and assigned a locker with a combination you set yourself. We were then taken into the cycling "theater", shown to our bike, and instructed on all the basics of seat adjustment, the locking of the shoes on the pedals, etc. While it's true that CYCLEBAR skews to a younger crowd, I never really felt intimidated doing "sweating with the oldies" (me!). Everyone on staff echoed what our fine instructor, Lindsey, told us- just do what level you can, and not feel intimidated by it! Then we were off on a 45 minute ride, with Lindsey coordinating the lights and pulsating beats of the music while encouraging us the whole time. It seemed by design that on the more challenging portions, Lindsey adjusted the light level down....then you REALLY didn't feel bad about going your own pace! The healthy snacks and smoothies from Happy + Hale were next, and they were an excellent compliment to the workout! This is getting to be a habit- local Yelp ambassador Michelle just keeps rocking great events, just like the music in the cycle theater! Thanks so much! read more

I absolutely adore this studio. It's the best you will find by far. The bikes are high quality, the theater is fun, the sound system is amazing, and the instructors and awesome. This is the only studio I've been to where shoe rental is free. The shoes are actually comfortable too. My personal favorite instructors are Kendra and Greta, but they're all great! Make sure you try all of their classes and see who you like best. The class demographics have a good range of ages and experience. There's no need to be scared to go if you're new or a little out of shape. There's always a few newbies and the girls working in the studio are happy to help you set up your bike. Everyone there taking classes are generally very nice and will also help! However, if you're a pro you'll fit right in as well! CycleBar is awesome! Totally positive and engaging experience. Also every single instructor and/or staff member is delightful and friendly. The only instructors of which I have attended classes have been Emily (so sweet and an amazing instructor) and Simone (also awesome and very talented) but I've had conversations with several others and they're incredibly friendly as well. Also, signing up is a breeze especially with the app, and your stats are emailed to you after class so you can track your progress. If you're interested in a fun challenge, you should definitely give CycleBar a shot and I guarantee you'll want to return! read more
