My cycling journey at this CycleBar began back in 2017. While it's gone through a few ownership changes since then, it is still a well run studio. Compared to other locations, this one has a fairly large locker area which is helpful during class changes. As one class exists the cycle room and the next class is waiting to enter, the locker area can get very congested. Thankfully this one is large enough that it allows the waiting cyclists to move to the out of the way so those who just finished can grab their gear from lockers, towel off, etc. In case you're wondering there is a small wait in between classes as the staff needs this time to clean the cycle room, bikes along with replenishing each bike with fresh towels. The cycling room is theater style with 40 bikes waiting to be challenged. There are a couple of TV monitors which are used throughout some classes to allow each participant to see how they're doing in comparison to each other (there's nothing like a little competition). Just before class starts, the door to the room is closed and the music (and fun) starts. Once class starts the trainer does a superb job of encouraging everyone to dig a little deeper and get out of their respective comfort zone. At the same time, they remind everyone to respect any injuries, etc and to modify as required.From the owners to the instructors to the support staff, all are very inviting, helpful and encouraging. They are always available prior to the start of class assisting those that need help with the check-in process, shoes, bike adjustments, etc. As for parking, there is plenty of it available in the shared lot. CycleBar has both memberships which renew monthly or package of classes can be purchased. If you're looking to energize your exercise routine (or start one), I highly recommend checking out this CycleBar. All you need to do is show up. They provide shoes, towels, water bottle and water. I was gifted a Groupon voucher for four classes. Per the instructions on the voucher and their website, I created my account & emailed the the email address provided on Groupon 2/15/26, and the email provided on the website, irving.chung@cyclebar.com & prestonforest@cyclebar.com, letting them know about the voucher and what class I wanted to reserve. I wanted to get in 2/21 class with the instructor Myeshia about 11:00a. I figured since Monday was a holiday, they may not be open. I wait & see if I hear back Tuesday. Someone called, but I missed the call. They text me and I responded, but no further response. Wednesday I didn't hear anything & tried calling. I call and I can't get through, nobody's answering and it's saying that the voicemail box is full. I tried after lunch. I get a young lady, explain I've been trying to reserve to get in the class, but I'm not hearing back from anybody. Again I explained I have a Groupon voucher. She says her manager will get back to me because she has to do handle the process with the voucher. As of today the 20th I still haven't heard from anyone from Cycle Bar. At this point I think I'm going to reach out to Groupon and see if I can exchange it for something else because this is unacceptable. read more

I booked a 6am class and even if it was early, all the people at the front desk were energetic, kind, and helpful. Since it was my first class they had a special locker for me as well with my name on it which felt personalized and sweet. The class itself is intense, since it's cycling- but in a good way! The music was great, and the instructor really knew how to get everyone pumped up. You get to do arm workouts with the music and pedal also to different beats. Towels, water, mints, spare changing rooms are all ready for you as well if you need. The place was also kept very clean. I had an amazing experience overall. read more

I have never had such a rude encounter or unprofessional experience as I did with Andrea today. I arrived late due to traffic at 5.35, still within the 5 minute grace period but she argued it was 5.37. Instead of allowing me in the class she continued to argue. When I asked to speak with the manager to share my experience she laughed in my face and shared she was the "manager." She could really use some customer success / service training for her own professional development. I've been a member of many high end Pilates and spin studios including O2 Pilates and SoulCycle in Dallas and never experienced this behavior or not been allowed to enter a class. Will definitely be going to other studios moving forward when there are so many great options in Dallas. The energy is low is here and I don't recommend this place based on "management." read more

These last few months I have been trying to get back into my CycleBar routine. With COVID this place has definitely stepped up their game. They take your temperature when you arrive. You need to wear a mask that you can take off when you are on the bike and need to put it back on when you are off the bike and leaving the facility. The bikes are spaced out for social distancing. You check in on the app on your phone. Come in grab a towel and a weight bar for arm weights. When you exit the studio there is a basket for the weight bars. One for shoes and one for towels. They also take thirty minutes to clean the bikes and studio after each class with some high tech cleaning stuff and UV lights. The classes are still great. Jill, Bryan and Hannah are the instructors I have gone to the most and they are all motivating and push you a little harder than you think you can go. And man you feel great after you complete the 45 minute class. First class is still free if anyone wants to check it out! read more

I've been going to Cyclebar Preston Forest for almost a year now and it's about time I gave them their well deserved review. Not only do the instructors take the time to get to know you as a rider, but also as a person. I've appreciated feeling part of this community since day one. I moved to Dallas from out of state, where I first joined Cyclebar. I knew the quality of cycling instruction would be great because Cyclebar has a level of excellence they uphold. However, I never would have thought I would get excited every week to see and be part of the community that was in this space. Cyclebar Preston Forest is special. Shannon, the owner, is personable and wants to make sure you're enjoying yourself and your workout. Arvin, the lead instructor and my Monday night instructor, memorizes names, gets to know the riders, and does his best to challenge you to show up and give your all, while also being his most authentic self. That keeps me going back to them on all the days, the good and the hard ones. Who would have thought I'd have energy on a Monday to go and workout?! Somehow it has happened here. It's a workout. If you're new to spinning or unsure about how to get yourself set up on a bike, here's my best advice: + Be sure to tell someone you're new so that they can get you situated on the bike bc the height of the seat, height of the handlebars, and how close your seat is to the handlebars are ALL adjustable. Protect your knees and ride right! + This location comes with rental shoes when you take a class, and the shoes are SPD, but the bikes can take SPD and delta clips (just flip the pedal for one or the other) + Bring water. Drink it when your butt hits the saddle. + When you think you're dying 30 minutes into the 45 minute class, don't worry! A 3-4 minute arms session is right around the corner and will give you a cardio break (but maybe break your arms/shoulders lol) + Don't be afraid to up the resistance! Lastly, shout out to Jackson. :) He's one of my fav instructors so far. I love his energy and that he counts us down to whatever "choreo" he'll have us doing - whether it's tap backs or figure 8s - so we know when to start etc. He also gives a brief explanation, which I really appreciated when I was new. Great cycle workout for people at any level and any age. I've been to many cyclebars and they're all great and have their own vibe based on location. I took 3 classes in a week here and they were all very different and challenging, in the best way. 45 minutes of intense rhythm based cardio with an arm section in between where you use a weighted bar to work your bis and trys. There's a leaderboard that the instructors turn on the screens but aren't usually turned on that often so you're not too focused on the numbers. You also get your stats recorded and emailed to you after class so you can track your finish, calories burned, and all your points. I would recommend coming about 10-15 minutes before to have time to check in, get your shoes on, and get your bike set-up. You can rent shoes, or bring your own spd-compatible ones. read more

What a fun addition to my current workout routine! I've been into lifting weights lately and have found myself lacking in the cardio department and CycleBar definitely helped me burned some calories. It was my first time trying a class and every staff member was so helpful. Julie led an amazing class--I already know I won't be able to walk for the next couple of days. I've been to a few generic spin classes before but I loved how CycleBar incorporates arms and abs for a comprehensive full body workout. I LOVE Preston Forest Cyclebar. I used to go to a different spin studio and I would get a decent workout but I didn't talk to anyone in the studio. In and out. But coming here it was a GAME CHANGER. As a cycle instructor at a big box gym I am always looking for the latest and greatest in workouts. I've visited this location but it has been a while so I ventured here one Sunday with a run bud for a workout (plus brunch at Penne after - it's only right on a Sunday Funday!!) We did the connect class on a Sunday with Jorge. He was super personable and friendly!! Love their water service, you can get filtered water super cold on tap or sparkling. Class was great, pumping music and challenging drills. He ended up letting us see the leaderboard towards the end of class and me and my girlfriend were top females in the class! It was fun and a nice little healthy competition. So fun when you can do that with your girlfriends, right? Anyway, super enjoyed this and love being in the participant seat every once in a while. If I lived closer I'd join more often. They are always doing specials as well but they are super text happy so just be aware if they have your info they will hit you up. I'll be back! If you want a kick a** cardio workout you have come to the right place! I took my first 60 minute class with Hannah Z and it was absolutely amazing! I cannot begin to tell you how nervous I was about this class. The cycle classes I have taken in the past have been the normal 40-45 minutes. Hannah had so much energy without being overwhelming. She directed the class with the perfect combination of strength and speed. I have zero coordination and cannot keep a beat if my life depended on it. She made it very easy to follow the beat of the music and to stay on beat. Her transition between songs as well as endurance and strength were good. This CycleBar location is larger than where I have been to in the past. It is very clean and well maintained. They also offer a good amount of changing rooms to use. If you're new to cycle dont worry. Shoes are provided for you if you do not have your own. The staff will also help you get set up and go over the spin bike so you feel comfortable during class. They also have the weighted bars to use right there with your bike which is really nice. You can opt in or out of your name being displayed during class. If you have not tried spin I reccomend you to try it at least once! read more

After adding on some COVID weight, I decided to give it another shot. I had my first class almost 2 weeks ago. I've never felt so welcomed and encouraged by the entire staff. I was HOOKED! Cycle bar in Preston Hollow is where it's at for spinning in DFW. So much better than most of the other studios in my opinion. First off, the owners are Melissa and Irving and they are the most inviting and welcoming people I've ever encountered. They make you feel like you're part of the CycleBar community the minute you walk in. I love the class format, the bikes and the music choices. They've got a ton of fun theme rides offerings as well, so you've got fun choices to spice up your cardio game. Instructors have been nothing short of fabulous and keep you motivated the entire time. Mix of cardio and some arm strength in every class, so you're really getting a full body workout! Easy access location, great parking and great instructors. I'm a member at another gym and have been wanting to switch up my workout lately, so I signed up for my free CycleBar class! I loved it so much that I signed up for an unlimited month after that. I usually feel intimidated in cycle classes since I don't really know all of the techniques, but I felt so welcome here. I've been going consistently for a little over a week and have been getting more comfortable each time. It's an amazing workout and you'll definitely get a great sweat. I've really loved all of the themed rides and weekly events like the brunch ride and WDW ride. The staff is sooo friendly and great about getting you all set up. I used to tell everyone I hated spin before spinning at CycleBar. I still don't enjoy spin (because it's a challenging workout and I prefer being on my feet for cardio), but it's a good supplement to the running or bootcamp classes I take throughout the week. I have definitely seen some shape changes since incorporating spin. (My legs look leaner and longer?) I'll say that I didn't love the initial pushiness to purchase a package when my first week was up, because I felt like the prices and studio spoke for themselves... and I did not need to be questioned on the spot after an intense workout. (Not thinking clearly, you know?) BUT I evaluated the studio, bikes, and classes for what they were, and decided to take baby steps towards embracing the spin life. So, I started off by buying small packages until I purchased the larger ones. I don't think spin will ever be my workout of choice, but CycleBar at Preston Forest is definitely my spin studio of choice. I've taken a few classes at other studios like Zyn22, FlyWheel, Ride House, and Full Psycle to compare, and here are my reasons for sticking with CycleBar at Preston Forest: - Clean studio, well-maintained - Friendly environment and staff - The provide rental shoes, which are comfortable and sturdy; shoes are not smelly or old - Their bikes are great because they also feel sturdy, show you your stats, AND there is a leaderboard that they show you throughout your workout so if you're driven by competition, this will REALLY get you to perform in class. (THIS is probably one of the main reasons I like CycleBar better than the rest of the spin studios... like I want to know how hard I'm working or how hard I've worked!) - Each instructor has their own style, but I've decided that HipHop Sundays with Hannah is my favorite. I just think hiphop is the perfect musical backdrop to those heavy resistance rides. I also like Glenn's Happy Hour Ride because he sometimes plays hiphop, and his energy is infectious. - The studio is so easy to get to/from. Ample parking. You can also walk over to Whole Foods afterwards to cool down and grocery shop. - Whole Foods bananas are readily laid out for you after each ride - The owner is SUPER responsive via email if you have issues with your account or class booking. This location set the standard for what I expect of all CycleBar studios. When I went to the one in NJ for the holidays, I was disappointed because it wasn't as well-maintained and the instructors weren't on the bikes the whole time. read more

I've been coming for a year and I'm so hooked. I'm NOT a morning person, but I've even been known to do a few 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. rides when it's all that fits my schedule that week.
