I recently purchased a Honda Metropolitan 50 cc scooter from Honda of New Orleans. Everyone I dealt…read morewith was nice and accommodating. I called on Monday only to get a recording stating that they were closed on Mondays, so i called back on Tuesday and let them know I was interested in purchasing said scooter. I was told that they didn't have one in house, but there was one in their warehouse and they would have it brought to the store for my purchase. Wednesday I got a confirmation call that the scooter would be ready for pick-up by my next day off. Friday I went into the store, finalized all the details and drove my beautiful new scooter home. This location also sells motorcycles, 4-wheelers, power generators, helmets, gloves and other cycling accessories. Although I paid for my bike outright, they offer financing assistance if you need to pay for your purchase over time. Thanks Honda of New Orleans for bringing me and my scooter together. Although I think 'Honda of Kenner' would be a more appropriate and realistic name for your business. ;-)

Wow. Now owned by Hall's I think this was Garrett Honda, I'll never darken their door again…read more Brought in a Honda that had been stole they had it for weeks. BTW if you leave anything there they make you sign a 3 page contract, release stating if you have issues they WILL be resolved by arbitration. It means if they screw it up you still gonna pay half!!! Friendly enough folks for sure. They had my bike for 6 weeks before I called them and asked them what's up and they informed me they didn't want to work on it and that would be $100. Not even a list of broken stuff on her that I needed to fix myself. Then they had the nerve to ask me "hey if you need any parts get them from us...!" This is in line with the Hall's on Westbank that wanted considerably more than MSRP on some tire's. I'm glad biz is good at these places because I'll switch over to HD before I'll ever do biz with either Halls location.

Don't let the fear of failure discourage you from taking this course because there is much to gain regardless! Also, don't be intimidated by the Harley-Davidson brand; the staff are all super friendly and helpful!! The beginner's course is about $100 on weekdays and $200 on weekends. They're both 3-day courses (nearly all day each day) with day 1 in the classroom, day 2 on the range with hands-on practical skills training, and the last day reserved for the exams (written and practical skills). The time commitment is real, but it's very much worth it. If you pass the class, you will receive a certificate which will allow you to bypass the skills portion of the test at the DMV when you're seeking licensing. It also grants you discounts with your bike insurance! As someone who has never ridden a motorcycle (or even a dirt bike!), I had a lot to learn through this course. It's taught exactly for people like me with absolutely zero knowledge or experience with motorcycles. The instructor will go through every part of the handbook with you and clarify anything you may not understand. The handbook covers motorcycle operation, road safety, proper attire, and much more. Even if you are an experienced rider, I highly recommend taking this course anyway. You will absolutely benefit by learning new statistics, fine-tuning your riding skills, and gaining potentially new information about road safety and the specific kinds of awareness you should have as a bike rider. I have been driving a car for years, but I learned that the extra mindfulness you need to safely ride a motorcycle was on another level. Even while driving a car, I feel as though I have benefitted from the lessons. The instructors are thorough, friendly, and caring. However, that doesn't mean you'll breeze through it (especially if you're a new rider). They will spend extra time with you if needed, as time allows, but they need to stay on schedule for the sake of other students. I found the second day of hands-on learning to be challenging. As mentioned, I have no experience on a motorcycle at all. Plus, I am short in stature, which may have been a disadvantage, if not physically, at least for my confidence. I made it through about 80% of the practical lessons before I hit my plateau and couldn't keep up with the advancement in skills. At that point, I couldn't meet the objectives to move on to the next lesson, so I failed this course, but I do not regret taking this class at all. This was a perfect introduction to motorcycles and I know I need more practice. I plan to take it again a second time, and I feel I could probably pass next time! One thing to note, they never push you to buy their products while taking this course at all, so zero pressure to buy anything if you're not interested!
