Came in today around 1000 hours and received literally the best service I've had all vacation. I purchased a bike seat and a bike lock because things come up on vacation I guess... Even with the gaggling group of future senior-weekbound mensa candidates in front of us, the guy behind the counter was a real professional and knew his stuff. We both chatted about where we were on 911 (were the same age, which brought it up) and he couldn't have been more personable. My only gripe is that I forgot to ask his name so I could thank him directly on here. 5 stars all around read more

I rented a moped and had so much fun. I will be doing to again next time I come. The price was also very respectable.

Jesse is an honorable guy! It seems every trip to OC requires a stop at the bike shop. Jesse did the normal tube change and as always he went over the bike to make sure it was safe. He made some adjustments to the gears for my wife, and he helped me change the handle bars and seat to make mine more comfortable. The next day, my wife changed gears and the chain went into the spokes damaging the derailer. I took the bike back to him and he quickly put the bike up on the rack and said "we are going to make this right". I returned about a 1/2 hour later. He readily accepted responsibility, installed a new derailer on the bike, and tuned it up again. We all make mistakes... the most important part, is what you do after you make a mistake, that matters. Thank you Jesse for being a man of integrity! Bob read more

Now I'm not going to lie this scooter rental was more of a thrill than I was expecting, while I was in the store I was hearing younger guys rambling about hoping they get a specific scooter called the ruckus me being unfamiliar with scooters and models I just take heed to the conversations when going up to speak to the guy handling the scooters I request the ruckus being that I over heard he tells me theirs no control over the models it's just goes by what he haves available so I ordered 3 and one regular and two ruckus is what I received and was happy that it fit the set of people I was with perfectly read more

I never rode a street legal scooter on the main road. Thanks to the professionals at Cycle City. I had the best experience riding the scooter. read more

Paid $54 an hour to ride the Ruckus, they don't list the prices anywhere and some people in the reviews said that they paid $35. I feel like I was over charged for just being a tourist and I don't like that. Otherwise it was a fun experience and the bike itself was cool. read more

Needed a new inner tube for a bike. Every other bike shop in Ocean City (and the hardware stores too) were closed. The guy had the tube and offered to put it on and air it up. Saved the day! read more

Really nice guys at the counter and they were very patient with all of my questions lol! Renting mopeds was the best decision me and my bf made on our entire trip! read more

Great place to rent bikes! I rented regular bikes multiple times last week from Cycle City. Their rates for everything they rent out is very affordable and FUN! For the bikes, it was $6 for one hour, $10 for 3 hours and $15 for six hours. I think it was $75 for the whole week, which is what I should have done! Not bad! Also, locks come with the bike rentals at no extra charge. I am not sure of the rates for the motorized bikes, scooters, etc., but from the glimpse of the pricing chart when I was there, it was very affordable. The owner and employees there were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place! read more

You could waste your money on some shitty go-karts for $10 for 5 minutes or you could grow a pair and rent a scooter for $25 for 3 hours. Plus they got a dog named Wilson that is just chillin' chillin' in the garage. Though if you have someone that constantly sweats in your party, she'll think that the dog's name was some multi-syllable, Neverending Story bullshit name. She'll also ask questions about preggo porn when we all made an impromptu stop to the Red Light District, but I digress. Riding on one of these things parallel to the beach just makes everything in life right. YOLO for Mother Russia. read more

I give this place 3 stars because of the customer service. When I first walked in the man sitting at the desk was on his cell phone. He puts his phone to the side and goes "Can I help you?" then proceeds to get up and walk away. Minutes later a new person comes and the entire time he was helping us he was mumbling to the point where you couldn't even understand him I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. Aside from that, the prices are very inexpensive and the bikes were clean and very new. In addition to regular bikes they have motor scooters and other fun things to rent. Overall, I would return I just hope they up their customer service a bit ! read more

Without a doubt Cycle City is among the best of all the businesses that I've dealt with. Jesse, the owner/manager, has provided my wife and I superb & comfortable rental bikes over this past year at very reasonable rates. Today, he and his staff went out of their way to repair & maintain our purchased Schwin bikes and to train me in the many nuances of bicycle construction. This customer service is "head & shoulders" above the many bike rental places in busy Ocean City. My strongest of recommendations goes to Cycle City! read more

GREAT place to rent from !! Nice people and good prices I highly recommend, if you have any problems they will fix it for you with no trouble. read more

My husband and I went to rent scooters today. The young blond guy at the counter was friendly and suggested I use a Moped as I had never driven a bike before. He was very kind and patiently explained the controls. Had me scoot around the back parking lot to be sure I got it. A line formed in the building but he took time to be sure I was comfortable with the controls. My Husband rode a fancier Moped with a jazzy name. Both machines rode very well and the brakes worked well. Prices were great and we had a fantastic time. I would recommend this place highly. Next year I want to try the mini car! read more

Avoid this place at all times. I've rented scooters before from other places in Ocean City, Maryland. I chose this one just to try it out. Keep in mind, I rent these for 72 hours at a time in order to get a better deal. I got a scooter rather quickly and I left with it. By the time I reached my condo, the scooter has stalled out 3 times. I tried to bring it back and they said that this is the only scooter they were willing to give me for 3 days and I was stuck with it. I later found out that the storage compartment had a broken lock and one of the headlights were out. With that I was worried about getting a ticket and I had to lug the helmet around so it wasn't stolen. The brakes were horrendous and were awfully loud. When returning the scooter, they were trying to keep my $100 deposit by accusing me for damaging the body of the bike. When I asked for the damage report sheet, I pointed out that they have already marked these spots down. So they lied their way out and charged me $20 for the microscopic scratches on the bottom of the bike. Also, one of the incompetent workers there seems to be drugged out on something and smokes cigarettes in the store. Not family friendly if you ask me. Very unprofessional. I got lucky there was a mature adult who put him back in his place. In conclusion, don't bother going there. There are plently of other shops to go to. Hope this review helps, thank you for reading it. read more

Cycle City - This is the place to avoid. - Bike Rentals Near Me - Ocean City, Maryland

DO NOT GO HERE! I wish I could give this place no stars if that was an option. Upon arriving to rent a two person scooter the person at the desk seemed annoyed that we wanted to rent from him (I should have known this was a sign). After picking out the scooter I wanted myself, the person inside starting yelling at the employee outside for giving us instruction claiming he was "wasting time." After choosing to rent the scooter for 2 hours, my brother and I decided to bring it back after 23 minutes because the brakes DID NOT WORK, it would not drive straight, and could not turn left. But after sharing my concern for my life while renting this terrible scooter he did not care and IMMEDIATELY said no returns leave. I wanted a full refund because this was genuinely scared to drive this, but instead of admitting it has never been maintained he claimed it has "seen miles." Then asking if he could at least charge me only for one hour he starting yelling at me and cursing at my brother to make me leave before he called the cops. I do not know why he was going to call the cops, he would have only got himself in trouble? Let it be known I do not care about the $65 I spent on the scooter rental it was a good deal, but cursing at customers? I am 19 years old and my brother 17, this guy behind the counter was a small build 30 year old. This establishment is lucky my parents were not there hearing him curse at my brother and I because that in inexcusable. To sum up, STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU ENJOY SCOOTERS THAT DO NOT WORK AND ENJOY BEING CURSED AT FOR TELLING THEM THEIR SCOOTERS DO NOT WORK! read more

The guys at cycle city have been nothing but great to me over the past few years. Rented both scooters and bicycles. The guys are super laid back and easy to work with. The prices are definitely the cheapest I've come across and usually they'll cut you a deal. Overall, I'd pick cycle city over any place in OC read more

Excellent experience at Cycle City. We enjoyed a long ride to Assateague Island. Had a very enjoyable day. The staff at Cycle City was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the scooters. rented from them yesterday. when accepting scooter young kid with accent did a stand up walk around with us.when we returned scooter he immediately layed over scooter to the side and said we put scratches on the underside.charged us 20 dollars extra.funny how he went directly to that spot on the underside when he did a total stand up walk around on the initial inspection.Beware of the shop. I reccomend you steer clear of them and pick a more professional rental location to choose from.....as there MANY!!!! You have been warned. They are professional rip offs. Also I am 57 years old with a 35 year HD riding history not a 18 year old kid.Good luck to all and have fun at OC read more

My luck with tires has been less than fortunate in recent weeks... beginning with just car; however while on my vacation in OCMD, my bike tire popped twice lol how is that even possible?? The gentlemen at this bike shop were FABULOUS!!! Had me in and out both times in less than 15 minutes... heck the second time I even bought some accessories for the cruiser! Highly recommend while you are here!!!! read more
