My wife was needing surgery for her cancer and we were there waiting for that. Unfortunately the surgery got canceled and we had to go back home. Also it's very very unfortunate that so many people are needing this type of environment and support for the situations they're in and the availability to get back into the Ballard House after the hospital rescheduled her surgery was mute. No vacancies. It's so sad that SO many people are hurting and need this service. Unfortunately I'm recommending The Ballard House for anyone who needs it because it's a wonderful place to stay. I say unfortunately because I'm in need of a place to stay for the next two weeks and I'm having to look elsewhere than the Ballard House to stay. Love this place and the Volunteers are a God sent. I have been blessed to volunteer with CAM for the past 4 years and during that time I have been impressed with the many programs they offer such as a top rated Resale Shop (Angels Attic), the Food Pantry, ESL classes, Employment Assistance, Financial Assistance and much more! Their Food Pantry, where I volunteer most of my time, is amazing and well run with many partnerships with local stores, churches, organizations and the Houston Food Bank. With all of this community support we are able to provide a great selection of items to our clients. In addition we provide groceries monthly to shut in seniors and also partner with the Houston Food Bank to provide additional times during the month where seniors and others can get extra food! Cypress Assistance Ministries is well run by professional staff and volunteers. I am consistently amazed with the kind and caring attitude of everyone I come in contact with there! CAM is a great place to come for assistance when you are in need and an amazing place to be able to serve our community! Thank you, CAM!

I had a full trunk of bags Every time I have gone in the past it has been an easy process. Every time in the past someone has come out to (at least offer) to assist with unloading. I decided to not unload except that my wife asked me to just let it go, that was the last load that I will donate there. Next time I will call a charity that picks up from my home. No hassles.

I participated with a talent show at a local Los Angeles charter school and the children beamed with esteem and enthusiasm.
