I am a Physician who has been notified by a number of patients regarding pharmacies which are in general been inconsiderate and give hard time to patients. I could not understand as why pharmacies would be so mean to patients who are on medications for suffering some ailments. For last couple of years, since I am taking a prescription medication, I understood what my patients were saying. Medication that I take is usually out of stock. Yet, there are some other CVS branch who will have medication in stock. The pharmacy staff of any of CVS branches will never ever assist you to get it from other CVS stores with medication in stock. Only way to get medication is to take the prescription and go from one pharmacy to the other, until you will find the medication. Earlier this year, I had another experience. I went to a CVS pharmacy in Woodbridge, NJ which usually has medication in stock. I was told that they are out of stock and I should try my luck somewhere else. An hour later, I returned to the same store and there was different staff member who told me that they have medication in stock and she filled my prescription right away. Since then, just looking at who is the staff on duty, I can predict if the medication will be in stock or not. The worse problem is that most of the staff in these pharmacies will be rude and will treat you very disrespectfully when you request for help as you had ran out of your medication. This is really awful when pharmacy won't do anything for established patients to refill prescriptions. They don't feel accountable and don't take any responsibility for adverse consequences to patients when they have to miss the doses due to pharmacy's inefficiency and lack of accountability. read more

I used to go to Walgreens in Edison unfortunately new insurance brought me here. Definitely the worst customer service ever in pharmacy. Thee guy was beyond ridiculously rude. Literally rolling his eyes as he assists you. My first time there I was rushed like a drive thru. He even gave me the wrong prescription good thing I double checked. He was rushing me to sign for it on top of it. I called him out on his error no apology whatsoever.. Irritating I see people post this disgusting behavior years ago.. So yeah 2025 still same. Also store actually looks dirty and ancient. read more

The people are friendly but honestly this is the messiest most unorganized pharmacy I have ever been too. On average I wait for 30 minutes in line just for them to tell me then need to run my prescription again just to tell me to wait another 20 minutes because they didn't know what they were doing. I'm tired of paying over priced medications because they forgot to run things by my insurance first. I'm tired of the service. I'm tired of the mess. I can't stress this enough. I've always used CVS, but this particular location has HORRIBLE customer service. The employees look miserable and have no social skills aside from one employee named "Brandon T" who is always friendly, polite, and professional. I once ordered a prescription and they gave me three times more than what I was prescribed to receive. Medications are managed for s reason. This location made me come back THREE days in a row promising me that my prescription would be filled, and all three days in a row it wasn't. No one took a moment to call and let me know either. I called, asked to speak to the manager "Purvi Shah", and was assured she would call me back; low and behold, she NEVER did. I ended up calling corporate to file a complaint and to finally have my prescription filled correctly in a timely manner with another pharmacy (Rahway CVS). CVS is great, but I prefer to go and drive the extra 10 minutes to make it to Rahway CVS because they have it together there. read more

The pharmacy pick up like is always long due to the disorganized pickup bins and techs unable to find prescriptions. I could understand if this was one or two time thing, but it's every time I go in. They are also very under staffed. read more

Buyer beware. Very disorganized, long wait time, AND refrigerated prescriptions are bagged and left on shelf with other prescriptions until you pick them up. Although pharmacy tech claimed it was just put there before I walked in, the medicine wasn't even cold any more so I refused it. Another trick at this pharmacy is they ask for your prescription card, and walk away with it to make calls. It takes forever to get it back so they can hold you hostage for 45 minutes. read more

It's like any other cvs except you'll find what you're looking for, they're always stocked, and you'll leave as satisfied as when you walk in. Plus, the managerial staff are the best! Pharmacy workers try their best and I normally get a text when prescriptions are ready, and a follow up phone call. Never saw a mess or had an issue. They could add in extra staff for busy times but it's been acceptable. read more

My husband and I have been CVS customers for many years. We stopped using them for prescription refills about 8 years ago because we were able to pay less at Walmart pharmacy for generic drugs. My husband must take a very expensive medication to control his MS symptoms, which is injectable and must be kept cold. CVS Specialty Pharmacy insisted that the medication had to be shipped to the nearest retail location. The shipment consisted of a 90-day supply of injections. When my husband went to pick it up, the tech handed him a single needle. When my husband asked where the rest of the shipment was, it was sitting on the floor and had not been refrigerated. My husband refused delivery and CVS had to eat the cost of the medication, which was about $1,500. I prefer the Rahway CVS to the Woodbridge location because it is a larger store and seems to have a better selection and quantity of merchandise available. The Woodbridge store is much smaller and seems to be very crowded. If additional space should become available in the future, this location should definitely expand. Otherwise, a new, more spacious store should be built somewhere else in Woodbridge. read more

I came here to pick up some photos that I had ordered online. After the cashier and manager go through several photo orders, they end up telling me that my order probably didn't go through. I waited two days despite being advertised as one day turnaround and even called back the following day just to check, but ended up with my phone being disconnected by the sales clerk. I finally gave up and had the photos shipped instead. And guess what? One photo had a big tear WTF right? read more

I called in the morning. The pharmacist said he'd take care of it moving a prescription from Boston to here. Did he? I showed up three hours later and it was as if I never called. I spoke to the pharmacy in Boston who said, no problem it's in the system. Why then is the prescription not even ready when I get here. Waste of my time and thus money. Get me out of here. read more

Prescription was not ready 4hrs after Dr visit. The the prescription was sent when I Left the office 4hrs ago! The pharmacy called the dr for verification and had me waiting additional 30minutes for it to be filled. SAME situation with my wife. Either their system is dated or just under staffed. As a construction manager, I work in many places and deal with many types of businesses and people. Due to this type of work and travel, often times it becomes difficult to get out of town prescriptions filled due to the pharmacies fears of fraud, illegal activity, or just plain rudeness. Not here. Here, the staff is helpful, professional, and efficient. They solve problems, not create new ones. They go out of their way to assist and take care of the customer. They are friendly, smiling, and come up with solutions. This was the case with my recent visit. I'm new, I'm from out of town, and have an out of town prescription. Brandon, the technician, took the time to listen, took the initiative to help me with my problem, and followed up at each and every turn with a solution. I don't run into either technicians nor pharmacists like this who go out of their way to help very often. Here, it seems to be a normal manner of doing business. This aspect was observed when I came in to pick my medication up. The place was abuzz with activity and had a line that stretched from the pharmacy registers to the front of the store. Most pharmacy people would be short and rude to those customers trying to hurry them out of the store. Not here. Here the two young ladies who were retrieving prescriptions and working the cash registers listened patiently and broadly smiled to each and every customer to make sure they were satisfied before leaving the register. In addition, the pharmacist on duty was seen scurrying around trying to fill a mountain of prescriptions all the while without grousing or demonstrating an outwardly stressed behavior. Professional calm, cool, and collected was the manner while the entire time she filled scripts. Overall, this is a team of professionals who put the customer first and thus make the words "customer service" come alive. This doesn't happen at many CVS pharmacies nor pharmacies in general.
