This 24-hour CVS is large, roomy and it has a large pharmacy that is usually serviced by 2-3 people at the counter and 2 pharmacist, in addition to the drive-thru. I went to get some of their generic CVS brand popcorn and they have expanded their offerings in terms of flavors and types. With the help of some extra Bucks, the purchase was very reasonable. They have 4 self checkout registers and several manned ones. Easy to get in/out. read more

This review is specifically for the minute clinic. I've had to use MinuteClinic for colds or strep when I couldn't get in with my PCP. The provider staff that works at MinuteClinic are wonderful. They listen to your concerns and do not make you feel rushed. They complete a thorough work up and make sure they get to the root of the problem. It's convenient that they can send your prescription within the same building and fast track it so you're able to pick up your prescription right away. this was quite literally the worst experience I have ever had in a pharmacy in my entire life. I am bedridden sick right now, and I came with my friend to pick up cold and flu medicine in order to get better to my surprise, when I went to check out a woman braided me and screamed at me because I did not bring my ID into the store in order to buy said medicine. I am fully 21 years old in a bar hoodie and I asked to show a picture of my passport and the woman insisted that I could not and proceeded to continue screaming at me. there is no reason to bring that level of hostility over DayQuil at a CVS pharmacy and you should be ashamed of yourself if you bring business here. read more

CVS pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Prescriptions "ready for pick up " are often never there. My latest experience was having to cup my hands over the phone and literally holler at the automoton on the other end, This pharmacy is absolutely terrible. This store does not deserve 5 stars, I'm just putting as a 5 star so more people can see this. Me and my friends went to Cvs as we normally do, and all we did was try on some sunglasses which we were going to buy, and this lady (her name may have been Cassie I don't remember) started to yell at us saying that people need to buy these and we have to stop goofing off. All we did was stand and try on glasses and we were talking a little bit about how they looked on us. She then said she's done with us going into her shop and never buying anything, which I understand, except for the fact that every time we go in there we always buy at least one thing. She also said that if we ever went to the store and "goofed off" again, her and her employees would kick us out. My friend was holding sun glasses and the lady grabbed them from her hand and asked her if she was going to buy them, she was but she was just really freaked out so she said no and the lady said "that's what I thought." She then escorted us to the check out and we were forced to leave. I always love going to this cvs except that they don't hire good people. read more

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY ! I called CVS MINUTE CLINIC in advanced to ask if they diagnosed and prescribed for a simple UTI infection. They said yes. I went to the clinic and the Nurse Practitioner, Amanda, said she could not help me, because she didn't know what was wrong with me. She charged me the full amount, $79.00 and referred me to the hospital. I was not helped in anyway what so ever at the minute clinic. I went to the hospital, and exactly they diagnosed me with EXACTLY what I went into the minute clinic for. The minute clinic is a SCAM to make money. I drove down to the CVS pharmacy in Wakefield about 15 miles from where I live and when I got there I could not believe how little help they had in the whole store. There were two young ladies at the cash registers and about 20 people standing in line. I was looking for a medical device and went directly to the pharmacy. When I got there I found four men and one lady in the pharmacy standing around talking to each other. I stood there for about three minutes and they could all see me standing there and not one of them came to help me. I finally asked them if they could tell me where I could find a CPAP hose. One of them being totally arrogant sneered at me and said we are closed for lunch come back at 2 PM. None of them were eating and I simply said I am looking to find this product a lady that could see how upset I was yelled out to me Jsle 13. I still couldn't find it and went back and before I could say a word another one said sir we're closed till 2 o'clock. Well I wasn't going to wait 45 minutes so I left. I have never been treated so rudely in a long time. If you need service of any kind I highly do not recommend this CVS. read more

I get a flu shot at a cvs every year. The system for flu shots at this cvs needs work. You just walk into the waiting area, fill out paperwork, and wait. I asked a pharmacist (dark curly hair, I wish I got her name) if I was just supposed to sit down without checking in and she said yes. A half hour later, three of us are still waiting, and no one has come in or out of the flu clinic door. I went back to the woman who I talked to earlier and she said, with as much attitude as she could muster, "they know you're here, sit down!" Sheesh! Ok fine, so I sit down and wait longer, feeling pretty annoyed that she just talked to me like petulant child. One of the other people in the waiting area gave up and left. Finally, someone else comes over and is like "are you waiting for flu shots?" Yes. Yes we are. "Oh I guess the person doing them went home, so I'll come over!" Super. So they HAD forgotten about us. At least the woman who gave us our flu shot apologized and was very kind. But I'll be going to a different clinic for my flu shot next year. read more

She asked if i needed anything, I said no thanks and she kept following me. She then said to another worker to turn the cameras on me and I said I heard that and she ignored me. Wow, I have been trying to transfer prescriptions from Walgreens to CVS in Wakefield and it has been nothing but horrible customer service. First the lady tried to talk me into going to Walgreens across the street, then the request was never sent from Walgreens, due to CVS not requesting. While I always enjoy the contents of this CVS, the service is certainly lacking. Shift supervisor, Brian, could stand to learn how to be polite and courteous. For the past year or so, I've been riding my bike to the drive-through window to pick up my scrips, no problem, with my dog in back in a cart. Yesterday I was told, No bikes at the window, you gotta come inside. I asked why. She said, it's the policy. That's not a good why, imho. That explains nothing. What I forgot to ask is if they allow motorcycles and/or motorbikes and/or scooters. If yes, then why not bicycles? The only logical answer I can see is they're afraid my dog and I are gonna pull out AK-47s, rob the joint and ride off into a newly secure retirement on a "vehicle" that doesn't have a license plate number for them to get a glimpse of and write down. What a bunch of knuckleheads. Well, as it happens, I ride an electric bicycle. I forgot about that too. Next visit, if I get turned away, I'm going to maintain it ain't a bike. It's an electric scooter that looks like a bike. Let's see what the white coats think about that. Failing that, I'm taking me and all my stupid scrips over to the mom and pop Wakefield Prescription Center. Gotta call them first and see what their policy is first, however. I was a Wakefield Pharmacy customer. If there were 3 customers in the store, all 3 of the people working behind the counter would stop what they were doing to assist customers. When I go to CVS, if there is a line at drop off, they make you wait, sometimes more than 20 minutes, while the 4 or 5 other people behind the counter are moving at a snails pace or even doing nothing.
