I even had a covid test which was done professionally and quickly. They have moved the covid testing to a separate area in the parking lot so it won't interfere with the drive thru pharmacy traffic anymore. And they do curbside pickup, although I'm betting this will end with the pandemic. It would sure be nice if it continued as it's a great way for disabled people to get what they need.

I realized they had my phone number wrong. I tried to ask how that might be- maybe my provider(?) no response just kept prompting me through the screen questions. Asked if I could fix- told "no". Got to the page about how I wanted to be contacted; asked if there was an email option? No response Told to go to the next page. The options were call or text. She literally asked which one I preferred! I said well, neither since it's the wrong number. Told to go to the next page and my only option was no contact. I even offered that maybe I put it in wrong at one time?(I did get a Covid test there for proof to fly back in 20/21)- NO RESPONSE! She rang up my items and gave the to me. She's obviously smart enough to get a Pharmacy Tech certification but customer service is necessary also! Just astounded by the lack of emotion/empathy/response? I might as well have been dealing with a robot! Customer service training.

The medication was going to cost $202, but they did the research and found discounts that brought it down to $35. This store is super small, but surprisingly, they have a Starbucks.

I largely like shopping at Safeway, as it's usually clean and well organized, if a bit overpriced…read moreon certain things. But a source of constant frustration is the deli section. From frequenting the local Safeways, I've come to the conclusion that it is apparently impossible for the deli to do the most basic of things when it comes to the soup bar. On most occasions that I go, there is usually something that is a bit off. Either the soup is completely out, or if there is soup, it's cold, or, like today, there are containers, but no tops. I went to the deli counter to ask for tops, and after a short wait, a very bored-looking employee came out. He says nothing, so I say hi and tell him there are no tops. Still saying nothing, he goes over to the soup bar and confirms that my story indeed checks out. After coming up with nothing, he finally says something and gives a kind of, "Sorry, Bro," apology. I've run into some great employees at Safeway, and they are appreciated, but I've also run into employees like this who fail in most of the most basic customer service procedures. I'm already frustrated, and he can't even say hello, or have a smile, or verbally acknowledge my problem. The lack of tops is certainly not this employees fault, and his customer service isn't either. It's his supervisor's responsibility to train him better and to make sure the section has the supplies it needs. As I said before, Safeway mostly does things right, but all it takes is one bad interaction, or constant failing of a department, to dampen the whole experience.
