We live in the northeast and we are so used to CVS, not caring about their customers and never having anyone to check you out. That was not the case that this one. the pharmacy staff was kind and helpful and the front of store cashier was wonderful as she checked out six people. read more

We have been going to this CVS for many years and never have we had any issues with any employee in any department. The pharmacy staff is the best and if you smelled Marijuana maybe you needed a shower and to wash your clothes!! read more

I would not even give this store a rating. It's horrible, I recently went in and was abused a a large, overweight employee who decided he was the attitude police and proceeded to accost me. I wasn't feeling well and was maybe a pickup for a friend. His job is to wait on customers not make "attitude" assumptions. The sign says you close at 8pm but the registers are cleared out by 7:55pm. I asked if I could still get my son's prescription they said no and the entire pharmacy staff left smelling like marijuana. AWFUL . read more

Pharmacist Bin Lee is wonderful...The pharmacy department is top-notch! I would highly recommend this CVS for any needs. Also had passport photos taken quickly and they were professionally done Customer service is fast and courteous. read more

This is a good CVS. I had an accident here last year, where I accidentally drank too much milk of magnesia. As a result, my bowels felt like the 1815 eruption of Mt. Tambora. I had to get a prescription filled from out of state and Cindy who works in the Pharmacy department was really helpful. I had originally tried to refill my rx on CVS's website and change the pick up location after I had called the Surfside Beach location to confirm that I could do it. When I went to pick up the rx, it turns out that the website sent my refill request to my home pharmacy in PA and they had filled it there. Cindy called the other store, cancled my order, updated my insurance record, then had the pharmacist fill my order right there. Cindy and everyone else there was nothing but pleasant and saved me a lot of stress and frustration. read more

If you need to go to a CVS down here at the beach, pick a different one. I will never come back here again. My significant other needed medicine 2 days ago. We went here and the clerk behind the counter must have asked him 6 times how to spell his last name. She would repeat it back to him...............wrong. He'd correct her and this went on at least 6 times. Also, he was asked his birth date a few times. Now, I have a customer service background and if I was having a hard time understanding or not 'grasping' this name and/or birth date, I would have asked for his driver's license and asked if the information on there was correct. I would not have had to ask that many times. As a customer service rep, you need to LISTEN. It's part of your job. Anyway, the clerk said the pharmacist is the one that had to fill this and that it wouldn't take long. We told her we had some errands to do and that we'd come back. We did what we had to do and came back. It still wasn't ready. After about 15 minutes she called us to the counter and said that it would cost $54 and change. Well, this medication was always $31, which is what we had planned on. Needless to say, he couldn't take his medication home because he had to wait until the new insurance card came in the mail for the 1st. The pharmacist said he'd put it on hold for us until the 1st. That was just 2 days ago. We went there today at 1 PM to pick up the medication, since we had the new insurance card. When we got there, nobody seemed to know where it was and then we were told that the pharmacist once again had to fill it. We had to wait but were assured it shouldn't take too long. In the meantime, we sat there while the clerk was handling all the drive through, taking pharmacy phone calls, new customers coming in and the pharmacist was getting people walking in to ask questions. In the meantime, we have to wait and wait and wait and wait. We left there after 2 PM. I have lots of patience, but today I almost lost it. Without so much as even an "I'm sorry", we finally left. I have to say that they need to have someone come in there and clean better as the floor (carpet) had tons of trash on it. All I can say is that if you need to go to a pharmacy here at the beach, you may want to try a different CVS or maybe go to another pharmacy. I would never come here again. read more
