It happened a few years ago when I was 18 and lived in that area. Since I had no car and my mom was sick, I took my rolling backpack and went to buy some medicines and water. There is a middle school very near this CVS and they probably mistook me for some middle schooler coming in with the backpack and trying to steal something. The two employees(which still work there) first told me that I can't bring the backpack in, and I said that I'm sorry and asked them whether there is any place for people to leave their bags why they shop. They said no and I walked around with the backpack and basket, trying to find the things I need and they kept following me and watching me from the edges of isles. I got angry and put the rolling backpack in front of them and told them that they can put it in the front for me if they don't want me to walk around with it. They didn't react anyhow and kept following me as I got more upset but bought the things I need and told the cashier about this and pointed at those two workers. But I guess it was normal of them to act this way. What can the managers do? They all are friends there. So, that incident makes me upset for years. Another incident happened around at that time too. I was looking at the lipstick in front of the store when I saw the two older employees in the front looking at me with the edge of my eye and them heard one tell another "do you think that 13-year olds should use lipstick?" But that incident just amused me and I don't know why but I didn't say anything to them. Anyway, stay away from this pithole if you can. Nothing changes there. read more

This store has the worst pharmacy customer service I've ever come across, I will never set foot inside this place ever again. Felt really offended by the way I've been treated for the second consecutive time at this pharmacy. If you have other options try and go elsewhere where people are professionals. read more

Today I spent almost 90 minutes doing photos on the print in seconds kiosk. I printed my first batch in which it added a photo book I did not want. Then I spent the next 45 minutes putting together an album of photos that were edited and ready for printing. Once I hit the order button the system froze up and rebooted on me. Store manager came over and said oh well it happens sorry. Oh okay.... so do you think i am able to get any sort of a discount on the photos that you are going to have to throw away? The ones for the album I didn't order? I mean if you are going to throw them away I would pay a portion, since it is not bound. That and the system threw me out before completing my transaction." No, if I wanted to pay full price, With out the binning mind you, that I could. But he could not discount me. Oops, it happens? 45 mins on this thing and opps. He was not empathetic at all. Yes, it was just time and photos, but the principle of customer service was lacking entirely! Bad review all around. 85% of the people that work there has rude personalities and overall bad mannerisms. The only ones at 10 to have any customer service is the pharmacy. read more

This review is for the Minute Clinic at CVS. I love these ladies who are nurse practitioners. They are extremely thorough and compassionate. I went in for a possible strep throat diagnosis but when the quick test came back negative she told me it has a high rate of failure and sent it to the lab to be cultured. She said it would take 48 hours but in the meantime offered some other home type remedies that helped. I was concerned because I thought since it would be over the weekend when my results would come in I wouldn't have the true diagnosis until Monday but 24 hours later I received a call letting me know my results. I would not hesitate to go here again for minor internal med type stuff. read more

They are always so helpful and patient in the pharmacy which I can imagine is such a chore with insurance companies these days! One man stayed on the phone for 20 minutes trying to work out the issues with my insurance and get us the best price possible on an expensive prescription. They can get things ready for you quickly if you ask them and are always so pleasant and professional. Thank you CVS! My only wish is that they were open more hours. read more

I regularly have my prescriptions filled here. I reside in the area and took an Rx for pain control due to recently diagnosed cancer here to be filled from my doctor in LA county The intake clerk spoke to the pharmacist and told me that they couldn't fill it because the doctor was not in San Diego County. When questioned further I was told that this was a CVS policy! I was rudely told that I could try a different pharmacy and maybe they could fill it! I then went to another CVS in the immediate area and they filled it as I waited. I was lied to by the employee at the first CVS - STAY away . Also the week before they told my doctors office that I had already picked up a prescription when I hadn't! Horrible place. read more

The people are rude in the store and even ruder at the checkout, oh and lazy too, I have two small children and the obese checkout lady asked me to pick something up for her! I've boycotted this cvs, and will not make the mistake of going there again! read more

This pharmacy is always understaffed and understocked. The turnover rate is so high that I rarely recognize the staff each time I go in. Management may be the cause given my interaction with the head pharmacist on a few occasions. She isn't very friendly, and she's very difficult to speak with on the phone, which always leaves us both frustrated at the end of each call. The staff at this pharmacy is overworked-a lot of times the staff here is ill, which is a problem given some patients who are immuno-compromised. I have to fill multiple prescriptions here every month, and this pharmacy never has the medication for my family despite our same prescriptions coming in every single month like clockwork. So, every month when we drop off our prescriptions, the pharmacy needs to place an order for them, which always takes 1-2 days. This leaves gaps every single month which is fairly detrimental to our health and well being. Being pretty much the only pharmacy in town, CVS needs to staff this location better. read more

Don't go to the Minute Clinic if you have a bladder infection. Twice members of our family were treated incorrectly because minute clinic does not thuroghly test as in send out to a lab to confirm type of infection. This meant a latent infection that turned serious. read more

I checked the website and it indicated that the hours for the minute clinic were 9 AM to 5:30 PM. I arrived a little after 1:00 and was informed that all of the minute clinic staff were about to take a lunch break (there seemed to be three people working there) immediately and they would not be back until 2:30. They were totally unapologetic. I will not be back. read more

I just called here to find out how much an immunization shot would cost. I had been told $65 at Riteaid and $79.99 at CVS. I called the Minute Clinic to ask why there was a fairly substantial price difference (I would rather go to CVS, as I shop here more than Riteaid). She laughed and said "Well, then go to Riteaid." I stopped in to pick up a prescription that is clearly a monthly type prescription. Use twice a day I am quite sure the doctor sent over as one month with two times refills. They filled as all three months together and then asked me to wait 20 minuets for them to fix the error. There was nobody in the place and three people in the pharmacy. Each month is already in a box by itself so why would that take so long to cut the tape they used to tape them together and ring up just one instead of three? I for one am transferring this prescription to Wal Mart or Costco. At least the wait there gives you a much better price than CVS. And they were not even kind about it. Like no, sorry there must have been some confusion. No, only "that's the way it was written up". Really because I could call the doctor and ask it that was the case and I can guarantee that it was not. Been getting this same prescription from same doctor for over 10 years now and it's never come three months at a time. read more

Just cancelled my prescriptions and transferred to another pharmacy due to terrible service yesterday. Called in a refill around 4 and was told it would be ready before 5. Arrived at 5:40, not ready. Waited 10 minutes and asked (in a very assertive way, btw), still not ready. Saw zero effort made by the pharmacist or the 3 other employees to try to get it done and send me on my way. Waited another angry 5 minutes and left. There were 4 people behind the counter, hardly a line of customers and absolutely NO reason for me to have to wait that long. Lousy operation. If CVS Management is reading this, you have some work to do with your staff in Solana Beach. In the meantime, I won't be coming back. Ever. read more

Just pulled all my RX from the pharmacy, they are terrible, lack of service, long waits, shortage of help. its a mess. changing pharmacy, can not be much worse than CVS in Solana Beach. the w o r s t ! ! ! the pharmacy is childishly run by incompetents. the employees have no idea what they are talking about. they will give you answers that cannot be relied upon or that are just plain wrong. example situations: *whether your prescription has been called in by your dr (on various occasions they told me "no" when it has been), *whether your prescription has been fully filled or partially ( you only learn this after you come in to pick it up!....and you have to make a 2nd trip) *they'll sell you a syringe which, after they've had a "conference with other employees" , that is totally wrong....it doesn't matter to them whether they get it right or wrong. they just don't care if they get it right. they just want to get you away from the counter. *rude, lack any charm...smiling is o u t the above are just some examples of their mistakes/attitudes. there are no exceptions to the above, these people are all substandard. *this is a dangerous group of inadequate people who, to make it worse, are obviously led by inferior management. this includes the pharmacist! do yourself a favor find another cvs or find another pharmacy --stay away from cvs lomas santa fe read more

Wasted 2 1/2 hour for wrong diagnosis. I'm willing to wait my turn but when the nurse bumps everyone in the queue to give a patient's husband (not signed in) a time consuming physical.. That added 40 minutes to our wait time. Then once I was seen, she misdiagnosed me and did nothing. I lost all confidence in her and CVS. Got an appt with my doc who gave me medication and now I'm recovering. I will never go back! read more

Not my usual location. My CVS does not have a Red Sign stating this is where the line begins. I do not live in CA. It happened in the pharmacy area, a woman was standing in front of this sign and blocked it from our view. The clerk was short and pointed me to the spot. Why not a sign hanging from the ceiling or something overhead that will not be blocked from view. Same issue with paying in the front of the store. Sign, blocked by two men and yes they were quick to set us straight but done it with a smile at least. The medication was correct and the time to get filled was minimal.
