I'm a former Medicine Shoppe customer, and because they closed I was transferred to cvs pharmacy, I was NOT happy because I have had issues in the pass n I do use quite a bit of prescription medicine. The manager here is rude on levels I can't explain, and fails at his job as a manager to both manage his employees and his store, down to being downright arrogant in the face of customers addressing concerns. Okay, actually the STORE itself is a 5, it is clean and the staff at the front are friendly. But their Pharmacy?! Where did they find these people?! The girl behind the counter has the nastiest attitude and is a down right little snot. She might want to get some lessons or classes on Courtesy and Customer Services because she is a good reason why I'll be informing others to avoid the Pharmacy and her. Basically, when I went to get a prescription filled she informed me that my insurance card did not work and that I needed a new card. She was down right rude about it too. So, I called my insurance company to see what was going on and they were dumfounded. My insurance company called the Pharmacy and lo-and-behold, they suddenly take my insurance card. The insurance company informed me that the woman behind the counter told my insurance company that I refused to give them my card?! What the heck? So on top of being rude, the girl is a liar too? Extremely poor service by this woman. I hope not ALL the staff of the Pharmacy are this deplorable and rude. But, there you have it. read more

My daughter was in line at the store to pick up photos and an elderly gentleman was in line in front of her. He was struggling and dropped his change he was using to make his purchase twice. My daughter got out of line to help him causing the next person in line to complain loudly about cutting in line and opening another register. She was very nasty and hatful to the elderly gentlemen, the employees, and to my daughter. Through it all the employees kept their cool and stayed professional. I don't normally complain if the service is not up to par, but it seems that these folks at the CVS pharmacy just keep making mistakes or take a lot of time filling orders. I assume that there are times when these folks have to work with either doctors or insurances when getting approvals but when a prescription is a plain and simple process to fill, continue to drop the ball and take a lot of time to fill. I had three ordered by my doctor and were placed on Thursday morning. I watched the process from their office to the CVS web site. After all were done, I waited for their call. I got the call that orders were ready and went to pick them up on Sunday late afternoon. Of only 2 of the three were ready. The person there said that they only got 2 orders and it was probably the doctors office at fault for not doing what they were told. I then said, your place was to blame because I was standing there watching the whole process being done and so it's you people who have issues and need to take another look. Sure enough buried at the bottom of a pile of prescriptions he finds it and says it looks like they sent it later. I was about to jump over the counter. I had just told him that all three were sent and recorded at the same time but it fell on death ears. read more

I feel the service is very lousy since Target took over CVS... it's a shame this is the only place my mom's insurance allows her to get prescriptions... they call with a text every single day saying she has prescriptions ready that are not ready even when they're supposed to be and the service is lousy they need to come up with a better way of serving people there Pharmacy that has a better way but also the people are very rude and very abrupt not helpful to the elderly at all my mother had a stroke and she's a very hard time communicating and I have to go with her to the pharmacy just because they are impatient with her it's very annoying and they should be put in check on how they talk to older people. read more

I WOULD give ZERO STARS... here is my recent experience.... Well, according to the pharmacist I was taking too many pain pills, EVEN though I was following what the Rx said. I have NEVER had surgery before (EXCEPT for 3 C-sections and with those I came home and only took OTC ibuprofen), so I didn't know to lessen my doses... well, I had 1 pill left this morning. My Dr. gave me a Rx yesterday, I went to fill it at CVS on Sycamore & Cochran this morning, and the head pharmacist REFUSED to refill it, saying she wouldn't refill it until the 20th!! I started crying... I just had my boobs CUT OFF (A double mastectomy with reconstruction surgery), when I'm in pain I NEED the pain meds, and she was refusing me ANYTHING for 2 more days??!!!! I HARDLY EVER get Rx's for me for ANYTHING, I am NOT a Rx pain med addict or drug addict and she was treating me like CRAP!!! I have NO history of even getting pain meds for ANYTHING! The LEAST she could have done was call my surgeon and/or offer a couple of pills to hold me over.... NADA!!!! Needless to say, I left there VERY UPSET, called my Dr. and realized I need to be taking LESS, which is FINE, I just did NOT KNOW! I went to a different pharmacy and got it filled! I am now taking LESS to get myself off of it... Oh, AND I AM NEVER, EVER GOING TO CVS ON SYCAMORE DR., EVER AGAIN!! The head pharmacist there, I don't know her name, would NOT EVEN come talk to me, she just sat at her stool at a desk shaking her head at me....HORRIBLE!!!! Super unhelpful when it comes to emergency situations. They tried to ignore me and super mean.

I hesitate to write this review as (for the most part) the Pharmacy employees have been very helpful over the past several years since I have been coming to this CVS for medication refills. There have been quite a few prescription "mixups" but humans make mistakes and I can live with that. However, I recently had knee replacement surgery and had a pain prescription from my Doctor. I've never used pain meds, (don't believe in them), but my Doc wanted me to have them on hand just in case. Went to have the prescription filled and a very rude elderly female Pharmacist lectured me on pain pills and started she would not give me more than a 5 day supply and would not be refilling them (even though prescription covered multiple refills). She seemed to be on a personal crusade to stamp out opioid use! While I understand the potential for abuse, her negative "diatribe" was neither on point nor appreciated! She would have been much more effective to have calmly explained her concerns - being rude to a customer NEVER helps make your point - only loses customers! The final straw is the auto refill system (text and phone calls). This system is terrible, frequently pestering me about non-existent prescription refills and I always have to call the Pharmacy to get it to stop bothering me. Well this time I was informed that there was nothing the local employees could do about the robo calls/texts and I'd have to call an 800 number to get it straightened out? What?? I have no idea what mistake was made on their end nor any intention of wasting my time trying to rectify their mistake. The robo calls still continue and I have since blocked the number (yes it's still calling) and will take my business elsewhere. Does anyone from CVS Corp. read these reviews? If I was the CEO, I'd be ashamed, after all without satisfied customers, you don't have a business. read more

I have to agree with all the other reviews of the pharmacy and their customer service. I called to ask if this particular CVS had a medication in stock since the other 2 SV CVS's didn't and wont for the next few days. The gentleman on the phone wouldn't tell me even though the other two CVS's were quick to say unfortunately they were out and wouldn't have a shipment until the next day or two. I even told him that he could verify the prescription through their database so he knew I wasn't trying to scam or pull one over on him. He basically told me there was nothing he could do to help and left it at that. Cool. Totally appreciate the "help" that wasn't there. This is one of the worst CVS around. The store manager is very rude and makes up store policies that he can't prove in writing. If you're going to enforce non-existing rules, be prepared to lose customers. Returns are next to impossible, even with valid receipts, and no one at Headquarters nor at this store knows how to process returns correctly because CVS is still in the dark ages. read more

They lie to you and make up stories. Oh can't fill this prescription until 2 days from last fill date. But next month they fill it 3days out. Or they s say they don't have that med in stock. B. S. Well it was my first and last time in that cvs. I work at a different drug store and we most definitely provide a different type of customer service! I went in for a BOGO free sale and I couldn't remember the old house number, so instead of offering me to sign up for the rewards card, that surely takes less than 3 minutes, the lady turned around and did something else. So I only got the one. The lady was no help at all! I then went on to say thank you have a nice day and she completely ignored me. She's an older white lady. It's pretty bad when you are warned by one CVS that even if this CVS has you medication in stock, they are notorious for still refusing to fill it. Prescription is from a local Dr and I did have problems one time a few years ago getting medication filled here. It was a older female pharmacist and she looked at the prescription a few years ago with all shorts of questions and she had the worst attitude. I didn't write it, if she wanted to question the Dr then call him. Anyways they ended up filling it that day after a battle. Well I had a prescription that I took to my normal CVs in Simi. They were out, but did inform me of the one's that did have it in stock, but warmed me this place is notorious for not filling it so I took the advice and ran knowing what I went through a few years ago with them and took it to another CVS in Simi with no problem. A while ago my mom and I got to the pharmacy at 8:50 (they close at 9) and they closed all the windows while we were the only ones waiting in line... We said we were here to pick up a prescription, which takes only a couple minutes to do. They said they were closed and we had been there 10 minutes prior to closing time. Today, they would not fill a prescription for my 84 yr old grandmother, which was confirmed by TWO other doctors!! So they told us to take our business else where. I was there this morning to pick up my diabetes medicine. First of all they were giving me the old prescription with a different dosage until I corrected them. The manager I believe her name is Pam has a big time attitude. She should be ashamed of herself for being the manager. She doesn't know what customer service is. She approached me with a mean look and was saying it was not their problem and that my doctor's office is very slow and messed up. She raised her tone at me until I told her she has a big time attitude and that she should not raise her voice at me. I'd give zero stars but the people that work at the front of the store are the only saving grace this store has because they are very nice and warm. Their pharmacy however is the worst I have ever been to in my life. My last experience left me feeling the most offended I have ever felt. There was a mix up at my Doctors office because someone new was temporarily handling refills. This for whatever reason caused the pharmacist to think I was trying to fill my own prescription. It however took four phone calls back and fourth to even figure out this was the problem because the pharmacist refused to speak to me! I had no idea what the problem or mix up even was and she out right refused to tell me or speak to me for no reason at all. I am a very polite person and treat everyone I come across with respect and I am not a liar or drug seeker.I did nothing wrong and I've never felt so disrespected before in my life and for absolutely no reason other than a mixup with the doctors office. After multiple confused attempts I got the pharmacist on the phone and she rudely declared "call your doctor. They call the cops on you" and hung up on me. I was so offended and confused after the incident I got off the phone and cried because I was treated so rudely. I then waited two days before trying to figure out what had even happened and I finally called my doctor and found out it was their mistake and a simple miscommunication. Completely baffled and massively confused I find out they were having a nightmare for the last three days during which time the pharmacy lied to me multiple times and said they hadn't heard back. I also found out that she completely lied about them "calling the cops on me" because they had zero reason to! My doctors office then told me they'd had problems with this pharmacy before and that the pharmacist was a complete nightmare and to prevent future problems suggested I go anywhere but there. I had done nothing wrong whatsoever and was treated so rudely and with so much disrespect. I was treated like I was some criminal for no reason. Not even criminals deserve that sort of disrespect. I had to be traumatized to even find someone at the pharmacy to tell me what the problem was. I vowed to never go there again. About a month ago I had a late dentist appointment and found myself there once more to try and rush and fill my script. They tried to charge me $20 for ibuprofen so I said id fill everything else but get that over the counter. There was a new male pharmacist that tried to tell me I had to fill every medication on my list and that I couldn't choose not to fill one. I've never been told I had to fill everything by a pharmacist in my life. I was so angry at myself I had even returned to this hell pharmacy I asked for my script back and couldn't get out of there quickly enough. I can safely say ill never return and neither will anyone I know. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I complained to corporate and the better business bureau. Ugh, no wonder they have such a low review. Have spent an hour trying to get thru by phone, which rings and rings and eventually just hangs up without anyone ever having answered. My husband dropped off an Rx this morning for our 4 year old grand-daughter. Told to wait 10 minutes. After 15-20 minutes, he checked with the clerk again, only to be told they don't have the medicine in stock and it would be 3pm the next day! How unacceptable is this?! They did not offer to call another pharmacy, nor did they offer any other suggestion. Just, "We don't have the medicine". Now we have tried another 30-40 minutes to even get back thru on the phone to try to have the prescription sent somewhere else. I will try to never utilize this pharmacy again. read more

Reviews are so important and my experience with this CVS has proven that I need to take the time and write a review. I don't have many because I give people the benefit of the doubt first, however this CVS keeps proving that it is terrible and people need to be aware. The customer service, or lack thereof, from the pharmacy is ridiculously bad. I had no choice but to choose at least 1 star but wouldn't if Yelp allowed you not to. The pharmacy supv Pam will just cut you off with apologies and doesn't truly listen to you when you attempt to let her know of incidents. She'll apologize, however it feels very empty and obligatory as opposed to sincere. If you don't take a minute to really listen and just keep repeating "I apologize" while the person is talking, it feels fake. As for the remainder of the staff, there's a guy there by the name of Alexi who is rude and will completely ignore you if he isn't being rude to you while talking to him. He walked away mid-sentence when I was asking a question and not to get my prescription. However he isn't alone, his co-workers aren't any better. They don't smile or greet you except to say "next" or "picking up" or they may just stare at you when you're next and wait for you to walk up. They're all so rude and condescending that they suck the air out of the area when you go back there. If you don't believe it, even if you don't need anything from that back area, just go past the pharmacy and look at the employees, they look miserable and unapproachable. The bad reviews are true. This pharmacy has been lacking in service and FAIR pricing for years, if not since their opening. I didn't comparison shop first and later found I could get the same scripts from Walgreens or Costco (can get prescriptions for low prices even if you aren't a member) for literally HALF the price for MORE. Target isn't much better. Don't take my word for it on pricing, do your homework and make the calls to compare and you'll see. Don't waste your time here, take your business elsewhere where you can be valued and appreciated as a customer. And if they don't either.....write a review (and move on)!! read more

Definitely I don't recommend this pharmacy, It was fine at first I always get my medications there I was ok, not very good but then it got worse they take forever this last time I got so mad cuz I was picking up a medicine and this guy told me it takes 10 minutes, so I decide to wait but then I go back and he told me it's not ready yet cuz the other employee went to take his break so have to wait more maybe 15 minutes, so I told him he said 10 minutes that why I was waiting, and I just leave ti go get my daughter from school. So then when I go back next day to get it same guy, so I decide to wait for the other employee available, he tried to apologize but I told him it better if they tell customers decided if they wants to wait for it in those cases. The store is fine. The pharmacy, however, is AWFUL! I normally use Albertson's to fill all my prescriptions. They are wonderful. Well, long story short, my 4 month old baby was very ill and the Albertson's didn't have all the meds we needed. Instead of making us wait a day, their tech called around to other pharmacies in the area to find a pharmacy that had what we needed. This is how I end up at this hell hole. The Albertson's tech calls in my baby's prescription (I watch her do this) and tells me to go to our local CVS in an hour to pick it up. I do just that. I get there, and the CVS tech (who is extremely rude) tells me they never called. Okay - no big deal. So i politely ask her to call the albertsons to get it sorted out. She tells "I don't have their number" even though she is literally standing at a computer as she says this. Okay - I guess the girl hasn't heard of google. So I use my phone and get her the number. She calls, is rude to the albertsons girl but gets the prescription. She has the pharmacist take the prescription over the phone. Keep in mind I am standing there, waiting the entire time this is going on. The pharmacists hands the rude tech the prescription and then leaves on her lunch.. for an hour! Rude tech tell me that even though they have the meds, I have to wait an hour now. Okay - again - no big deal. I ask her for my prescription so I can find another location that has this medication that doesn't require and hour wait time (sick child needs meds ASAP) and she refuses to give it to me! It was just an overall awful experience and I will never go back. read more
