My husband and I visit this store a few times a month for our scripts. The pharmacy staff is very, very busy, and yet they are all so friendly and professional. I went to the Minute Clinic to have ear wax removed. I tried all the usual things mineral oil, peroxide, etc. This CVS was the only clinic that does the procedure, and I wanted to go in my wading pool. Jen was terrific! I was totally deaf in one ear. She did the extensive paperwork, checked BP, heartrate, and explained how they handle insurance. I'm on medicare, s!!o there was no charge until after medicare. Before she started she told me she'd been doing this for 20 years! Didn't have to purchase a home kit and went in the pool! Jen was very caring. read more

This is the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with, they can't get a prescription right. The whole process of ordering and panicking up a prescription is a multi visit tedious task. Called in a prescription that was expiring on 4/17/2022, this was on Sunday 4/10/2022. Automated line tells me it will be ready by 11 AM. I did not need it immediately so went when it was convenient on 4/12/2022, waited 10 minutes in the drive through, only to get to the window to be told they do not have anything for me. Upon further questioning I was told the prescription had been inactivated, no one could say why, they would have to call my doctor, the pharmacist gave me three pills to tide me over. So now I will need to make a second trip. Get a notification via text 4 days later that my script is ready for pick up, I get there, wait another 15 minutes in the drive through, the tech comes and gets my information, starts to ring it through and says OH! And walks away. I had noticed she scanned 3 items, I was there to pick up one. About 5 minutes later an actual pharmacist comes over to talk to me, seems the doctor had prescribed 3 different doses of the same medication, two of them I use, the third I do not. I would assume that they would have looked at my records and saw that I did not use it, but no. Then I noticed i was only given a count of 45 with zero refills and a days supply of 90, I don't know how their math adds up. Pulled over and went into the store to talk to the pharmacist about this, said he would have to talk to the doctor again, I have an appointment coming up with her so I told him not to bother, the whole time I was talking to him at the window and in store I was getting nothing but attitude. After the first problem, called customer care, spent another 15 minutes on the phone and was told I would be contacted by the regional manager in 24-48 hours, got nothing. We have used this pharmacy for the time we have lived in Channahon. We have used CVS in previous states. If you want helpful, intelligent and timely service, I suggest you look elsewhere. If you have lots of time to come when you are texted and then go back home because it really isn't ready, and then come back to find it still needs further approval... then this might be JUST the pharmacy for you. They are short staffed and you will always be delayed , for various reasons. It is both the technicians and the pharmacist's. You rarely speak to the Channahon store if you call... you are forwarded to a call center that has no answers for you. So, if you are bored and just love driving back and forth... use this pharmacy. If you expect professional, accurate service, go elsewhere. read more

I prefer to use CVS for my prescriptions when needed. They are quick and professional. Also like that CVS as a brand has stopped selling cigarettes! Downside of CVS is that they don't have much grocery items like Walgreens does across the street. If you need something last minute usually have to go across for that. read more

I've only been to this cvs a couple times and I've had a pleasant experience both times. The young lady who helped me both times was very friendly and helpful. I wish I had've gotten her name, because she is definitely an asset to cvs. I will definitely be returning to this cvs, and hope I encounter this employee again. Very good CVS location, all staff are very helpful including pharmacy.

You will be told when a prescription is going to be ready. You will leave and come back an hour later than when it is to be ready- and it is not ready. You will either sit there or will be asked to move your car to the lane next to the liquor store. What? Some of the support staff lack even the appearance of urgency- and you wil lrealize that you are dealing with a chronically slow service vendor and why do you continue to use this place. read more

This review is specifically for their clinic, it is by far the best quick clinic I have been to. This location has the nicest and most courteous APNs. Every time I went I didn't have too long of a wait and If I reserved my place in line through their website I essentially had no wait. The APN I had listened to my concerns and got me in and out in a timely manner while fully treating me and my issue. Love this place! read more

The staff pharmacist D. refused to fill my prescription because she was 'not comfortable filling it.' It was a pain medication. I don't like taking meds and I had been trying to do without it for quite a while - waiting months to ask my Doctor, and over a week once he called it in - but really needed it now. The prescription had originally been called in to the CVS in Downers Grove, but I was not able to get there this evening and asked that it be transferred to Shorewood. Even after the pharmacist from the Downers Grove store called her to ask her to fill it for me, she refused. Her first excuse to me was that it was against the law. This is patently NOT true - I am a pharmacist! I used to WORK for CVS! I called her on this and then she stated she was not comfortable filling the prescription and would not do so. She could have done a quick check of the Prescription Monitoring Program to check for my history to allay her uncertainties. Her indifference to my situation and haughty attitude, as well as the lie about the legal issue, put me past any understanding that I may otherwise have had. While a pharmacist IS responsible for reasonable scrutiny of controlled substances (i.e. pain meds), empathy and professional experience also play a part in the job. As part of the medical care team, she failed. As I write this review - unable to sleep yet again because of my unrelieved pain - I can only hope that this pharmacist gets a lesson in empathy and learns to thinks about the person behind the prescription. Sadly, CVS is the pharmacy I must use for my insurance. This is the most convenient location for me, but on the rare occasions that I will need a pharmacy in the future, I will be driving farther to enlist the help of a CARING medical professional. read more
