1 star -- absolutely unacceptable…read more The pharmacy at CVS Pharmacy is a complete mess. My prescription was transferred, and somehow it just vanished. No one can tell me where it is, why it's not filled, or when I'm actually going to get it. I've now been sent between locations being told it's ready, only to show up and hear "we don't have it." Meanwhile, I'm without medication I need, getting worse, and the staff offers zero real answers. One employee (Rita) looked up my prescription and couldn't give any clear information or timeline at all--just confusion and attitude instead of solutions. At this point, it feels like no one knows what they're doing. This isn't a small mistake--this is people's health. Figure out your system, communicate properly, and stop leaving patients stuck chasing their own prescriptions.

I had a quick trip to the North Shore to visit in-laws and I was flying out a couple days later on a business trip out of Logan. What I forgot to think of on my trip is that my antibiotic supply for a recent spider bite was nearly exhausted. I had one more refill on this script but it was called in to a Walgreens near my home in NY and it was a Sunday. I decided to visit the Beverly store first thing Monday morning to see if there was any way I could transfer my reservation there or have my Doctor call them. I was greeted by a female pharmacist who listened to my shortened version of my dilemma and she quickly said "no problem let me see what I can do". She found me in the Walgreens system and was able to transfer my order to Beverly. Next challenge was to make sure NY insurance would cover it. She asked me to give her 10 minutes so I did a quick shopping spree around the store. I returned in what was probably 8 minutes and she had my order filled and fully covered by insurance. I know this isn't the most interesting review but the exceptional care and attention I was given was honestly unexpected and refreshing. Great job to this employee and her team.

The doctor prescribed azithromycin. It was outside of the pharmacy's business hours, but I decided to send the prescription there and get it the next day rather than go somewhere else. I stepped out into the parking lot and my phone rang. It was Evan. He had dropped in to work to deal with some odds and ends and saw that I'd been given an antibiotic. He wanted to know if I needed it immediately. I was fine waiting until Monday and the doctor had agreed. So on Monday, my medicine was delivered (as always) free of charge (as always). Evan is a kind, concerned health care provider, not a store manager pinned down by quotas. He cares for his patients, and even just now took my call right away because I had some questions for him. CVS has been extremely frustrating and honestly unacceptable to deal with. I've been trying to get…read moremy prescription refilled, but their system is apparently messed up and nobody there seems able to figure out how to fix it. This is medication people rely on, not something that should be delayed because of system issues. To make it worse, the man I spoke with on the phone was rude and actually hung up on me around 10:30 at night while I was still trying to get help with my prescription. That is not how customers should be treated, especially when it involves necessary medication. Very disappointing experience.
