I am sad to see recent negative reviews for this CVS Pharmacy location. On a recent vacation, my husband forgot his prescription meds at home. Within a couple of hours, this CVS had his meds ready for pickup, after he called his doctors office for a short supply. We were impressed by how fast this CVS helped and were able to pick up a few weekend essentials for our stay in MI too. Thank you. read more

I've finally built up the courage to share this experience. I went to the CVS drive-thru to pick up a prescription that was marked as ready. After waiting in line behind a few cars, I reached the window, only for the pharmacist to close the gate without saying a word. Confused, I parked and went inside to ask why. A worker informed me that the pharmacist had gone on lunch and wouldn't return for 30 minutes. It was my day off, and although I had plans, I decided to wait. I returned to my car and parked in front of the window to be first in line when they reopened, knowing how quickly the line can build up. When the pharmacist returned from lunch, they asked for my information and then told me I'd have to wait another 30 minutes, despite the text I received saying my prescription was ready. Frustrated, I explained my situation, but they were dismissive. A car pulled up behind me, and they asked me to pull forward and continue waiting. I expressed my frustration again, and one of the pharmacy staff responded, "Do you like making old people wait for their prescriptions?" At that point, I felt insulted and discriminated against for being a young woman. Despite my calm explanation, they asked me to leave the drive-thru. I declined, stating I just needed my prescription. Another pharmacy worker then came outside, took photos of my license plate, and called the police on me. They waved the photo of my plate at me through the window, asking if it was mine, all while I was still waiting for my prescription. Eventually, the pharmacist handed me the prescription. By that time, the police had been called to the location, and they were told I had been threatening and causing a scene. Shockingly, the pharmacy staff even sent the police to my home, claiming I was a threat and banning me from the location. For context, I'm 5 feet tall and weigh less than 110 pounds. I never cursed, threatened, or insulted anyone. I simply explained my frustration with the wait and the situation, only to be met with hostility and victimization. I contacted CVS corporate, and after reviewing the footage, they acknowledged the pharmacist was in the wrong. They also admitted the pharmacy should have posted clear drive-thru hours, including the lunch closure. Corporate promised I'd receive a letter, but I never did. Instead, I got a phone call with a verbal apology. After this humiliating and frustrating experience, I cannot recommend this CVS location. If you value respectful treatment and timely service, I suggest you go elsewhere to avoid being victimized and left waiting for something as basic as a prescription. read more

The pharmacists at your pharmacy isn't very nice and I need to be contacted about this. He was very rude and completely cancelled a prescription that was not harmful being taken or anything. It's an important prescription and this isn't right. He yelled across the store to get our attention, when we weren't even talking to him. He was very very rude when we were asking one simple question. This is devastating because my whole family and friends will be pulling our prescriptions from here and moving on with someone else who will be nice, considerate, and be helpful with any problems any of us have. read more

I have yet to use the pharmacy here at CVS but I have come to the store a number of times since it was built.  CVS is a decently sized store (much larger than any Walgreens in the area) that has a nice selection of decently priced items.  The staff is consistently friendly and the store has never been unclean when I am there. I must admit when CVS was first built here, I wasn't sure we needed it because we have so many pharmacies between Benton Harbor, St. Joseph and Stevensville.  But, after some time passed I have been convinced I was incorrect.  CVS is definitely a welcome change from Walgreens and Meijer. read more

The CVS Pharmacy in St. Joseph has numerous signs on its property listing flu and Covid shots available. The signs clearly say: walk ins welcome. Don't believe it. It's not at all true. My husband and I walked in and up to the pharmacy counter about 2:15 today. I told the cashier we'd like to get our flu and Covid shots. We were told by the cashier it was not possible. I told her the signs said walk ins welcome. The man standing a few feet behind her told us to come back after 6:00 p.m. I said there is no time mentioned on the signs. He said: I'm totally booked the rest of the day with appointments. Come back after six. No apologies, not even a kiss my grits. There is no signage on the property encouraging folks to make appointments or explaining how to do so. So, still standing at the cashier, my question was: how do I make an appointment? I expected a reply to the effect of: let's make one for you right now. Oh no. The answer I received was: go on line. My husband and I are both 76 years old. We both have serious health issues. We live in farm country and it's a one hour round trip from our home to CVS. I expected an entirely different experience. We lived in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas. CVS was always my pharmacy of choice for over 40 years. After this unexpected, rude treatment today, that is no longer true. I will now go out of my way to avoid CVS at all costs. read more

I was told a few weeks ago to call to schedule an appointment for a Shingles shot when I was about a week away from needing the appointment. I called and finally got the pharmacy. The man I spoke to said I had to use ??? (I couldn't understand what he said). So I repeated back "so I need to go online to schedule my shot" and he added "or download our app". I started to say that the phone system should say that but this pharmacy employee hung up on me before I could finish. Neither one of us said goodbye. read more
