Thank goodness this CVS location is still open! Every other Walgreens, Rite Aid and many other CVS has closed down due to constant theft. I come here often to refill prescriptions or pick up last minute items conveniently instead of having to deal with large crowds at Target or Walmart. The employees are helpful and considerate. The pharmacy is busy but the lines move fast. You'll find plants, flowers, gift cards, balloons, candy and seasonal goodies for every occasion. Just had a phenomenal experience at this CVS. I had to call ahead to get some eye drops because I accidentally poked myself in the eye right before a Soccer match. Jose was super helpful and so efficient. He already had grabbed my item and held it in front for me by the time I arrived at the store. He was polite and super helpful. I'm going mid cause this place has SOO much to be desired. Since the recent debacle, I need hygiene and random makeup stuff and my Rx so I opted to go inside this local CVS instead of just drive thru. There are empty shelves, there is stock literally locked up and require sales associates and there's only 2 in the entire store. It's empty and just not fun to be inside of. The music wasn't bad tho. CVS needs a major investment to appeal to us ex-Target folks but they had what I needed and the customer service was pleasant and nice so I'll take it. Has its own parking lot. Mostly clean interior, except the floor needs sweeping. Some shelves were empty or messy. Very few customers around in the afternoon on the weekend. The staff don't wear masks. There was some kind of incident right before I came in, as there was an employee standing by the entrance and a manager(?) telling him not to allow a customer to shop if said customer came back. Leftover Easter products are on clearance and 50% off. Unfortunately, there wasn't much unless you're looking to gorge on chocolate rabbits and peeps. The CVS absolutely sucks! First of all, their inventory is very slim. I tried looking for vitamins that I need, and they're constantly and consistently out of stock on many items. Even when I am able to find items, they are no good. For instance, I bought a six pack of Dr Pepper Zero, only to find out that it expired in June of last year after I brought it home. I took it back to the store to get an exchange, and the only Dr Pepper Zero they had left was a six pack that only had four bottles. The clerk let me have it for free, but when I brought it home, I found out that it expired in September. I posted a picture of it, you could barely see the date. The clerk told me that the manager got yelled at for this on numerous occasions. It seems to me if this is happening on numerous occasions, they need to get a new manager! read more

Costumer service at two CVS Pharmacies has been lacking. I always get a feeling that it is a burden for them fill a prescription.

I had a wonderful experience at this CVS store today. It was clean, offered a variety of products, especially in cosmetics department (and not locked up or simply not existing like in other stores! ); things were pretty easy to find and the staff was very friendly. Thank you the store management and entire team for doing a great job. I live in Carmichael and the CVS store nearby is painful to visit - bare shelves and thieves who openly roll out their shopping carts full of groceries and the store employees do not even attempt to stop them! What a shame , it seems to be a trend that all the drugstores in Sac have been the worst customer service I've ever encountered . The running commonality I've seen is poor management . When a store or restaurant has a bad manager or leader it is evident in the rude demeanor and carelessness of their employees . They are held to no standard because the management behaves the same condescending unapologetic way as his crew. I shopped at CVS daily for months. This pharmacy is in dire need of some hiring. The drive up window is extremely inconsistent in hours. They keep changing their handwritten sign regularly so customers literally roll the dice pulling up to see if window is open. I had a terrible experience while being at CVS. I was there to buy a shampoo for myself. The CVS Manager, who was a woman, thought that I "broke" something which I did not and even If I broke something, there was no intent at all whatsoever. Then the manager asked me to leave and the male security guard asked me to leave, even though I did not do anything wrong and I am an invitee. They LOST my prescription!!! CVS messaged me and said it was ready for pick up. When I got there I waited 45 minutes for 3 people to search for it!!! I left in tears because I needed my medication. I got a call the next day stating they found it! It was an EXTREMELY important medication and I am blessed that I didn't suffer too badly with out it! All they said, when I finally picked it up, was, "we're sorry for the inconvenience."I could've ended up in the hospital! Their apology didn't/doesn't mean anything to me! I go there because it's close to my home. I'm disabled and have a difficult time just getting to and from there. Otherwise, I'd definitely go elsewhere!!! Store people overall are great but pharmacy is always late from lunch. Lunch is 12:30-1according to the phone line. It's 1:08 and no sign of anyone opening up. Just found a sign they will be back at 1:15. There is a line of people waiting. I have places to be and I counted on the pharmacy being open and available when they claim to be available. Either change your phone line to saying they always do 1:15 instead of 1 or be a good manager and enforce the rules to be here at 1. Plain and simple. read more

Ok, this CVS is not bad. I realize that sounds a little negative but my general experience with this chain drugstore has always been well below par. This particular location is still relatively new, and the store is organized and clean. Like most CVS stores, there is a "variety" of folks hanging outside the front doors and occasionly coming in, but I simply head to the best bargains I can find. As some of you may know- CVS has what I call a "price pendulum" issue: The prices are either completely above the norm, or marked down so low you may get items for free! Its all in how you work those coupons and the CVS coupon app. When I visit this location for a last minute item I always take a hit in the wallet. However, this is normal of the stores in this chain. So... what makes this location better than the others in the area? The staff. Customer service of late has been off the charts! I am unsure if it's a newer manager or better employees in general, but the crew really know the products. Working the CVS coupon system is time consuming and problematic, but the managers and cashiers are always well prepared for the myriad of questions and register mistakes. Friendly and cheerful they make all the difficulties much easier. This makes shopping here a 5 star customer experience! Yes, it's still a 3 star review because, well, it's CVS. Shout out to all the kind employees this past Thanksgiving for being extra prepared and friendly. TIP: You cannot use your "extra reward bucks" on booze. read more

went to CVS to return a GIFT I went to CVS to return a GIFT, given to me by a lifelong friend who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I had the item still in the bag with the receipt. I intended on exchanging it, as even though exchanged, would still hold sentimental value, because he paid for it. I may never see my friend again with his memory of us together intact. The store clerk at Franklin Street Sacramento, OCTOBER 15 2022, was RUDE to ME- though maybe upset that the other clerk didn't know how to do an exchange?- grabbed the receipt and just put the credit back on his card. When I questioned it, she YELLED at me saying "That's ALL THEY DO!!" NO exchanging! WHO EVER heard of no exchanges with a receipt and everything!?! Now thanks a lot b****! I probably would have exchanged it, adding more of my own money to the sale and bought more things for myself, and had a keepsake from my love who is 70, whom I will never see again with his memories to share. I immediately called him on speaker in front of the clerk, I felt I had to tell him to expect credit on his account, but also felt embarrassed and afraid I would hurt him, to tell him I wanted to exchange his gift (it still would be from him, because he paid for it). No one knows how to process Similac coupons and they call the manager his response was "o'well too bad". Although I come here all the time and wait forever for other people to use coupons endlessly. This pharmacy always says that your prescription will be ready in a few hours. This actually takes them closer to six hours. Then when checking to see if its ready the manager promised 20 minutes. 1-1/2 hours later it's not ready and they say there still working on it. Literally never do what they're supposed to. I spend hours every month trying to get them to fill any of my 6 prescriptions right. Did you put that med on auto refill? They don't care because it won't be in stock and they'll partial fill without advising you and then you can't get more because you insurance thinks you have it already. They literally put in no effort, never apologize, tell you it's your fault, and smile as you walk away crying for the fifth time because you can't get your necessary medication. World's worst service ever. I was there at 8:25 pm after urgent care treatment, with orders to get a prescription immediately. The clerk at the pharmacy told me to come back the next day. I explained that 1) the medication was for an emergent condition and 2) their posted hours were that they were a 24-hour store. The response was that the pharmacy closed at 9. I told her that I'd wait. She took my info, told me to have a seat and she'd call me. At 8:50, they were shutting down the shop and I jumped up to remind her that I was waiting for my rx. She never told the pharmacist about me. The pharmacist was kind enough to stay "late" and filled my prescription. read more

I was at the CVS on Franklin and Sutterville Road Sunday. I went in to grab shaver's. The disposable shavers are on lock down, so you have to ask for assistance for them to unlock. There was about 15 customer's in line waiting and 2 cashiers. I ask the male cashier to call for assistance over at the shaver area. He said he would call. I waited about 5 minutes and no one showd up. I went back and asked again and he said they were the only 2 people in the store, and he would be with me in a bit when I can get to you. Pro's: Relatively good location with a drive through window. Pharmacist Josh is excellent, very accommodating and explains things well. Staff is highly professional and very nice. They have a medication drop box. The Caremark/CVS app is very helpful to manage your ordering prescriptions. I like that it sends a text message when it is ready. They offer free delivery with many insurance providers otherwise $5.00 per month if you join their points program. Excellently stocked store to pick up sundries while waiting for your prescription. Cons: To speak to a pharmacist by telephone you are forced into an "Automated Call Servicing Maze" otherwise known as "Hell ." Caremark Mail Order and CVS Retail do not appear to be on the same computer system. This has caused me innumerable issues. read more

Horrible place my Dr. sent my prescription to them and they called me asking for my insurance information when my insurance reached out to them they claimed they didn't have anything for me mind you this is on a Friday night so I can't get a hold of my Dr. now I go down there show them physical proof the prescription was sent through my app and the manager of the pharmacy still says oh must of been a "glitch in the system" and I said no someone threw out my prescription because one of your employees called me to let me know this and she said the same thing as I'm showing her proof why couldn't she at least try and find out which employee was it that gave me the call when I'm showing her my proof that my prescription was sent to them very very inhumanly of them to do so and can't resolve my issue when it's my health on the line. read more

I'm already sick and in pain and the way he was speaking to me was just harsh and unnecessary and he was definitely not helpful. This review is for photo center services only! I used the service for thank you cards for my wedding, and they turned out super cheap looking. And, at $55 for 40 cards, they weren't that cheap. They're printed on very thin glossy paper. The print of the photo themselves are grainy, which shouldn't have been the case with the resolution I uploaded. These weren't iPhone photos, they're professionally done .jpgs. At the size on these cards even an iPhone photo should come out clear. They came two per page as expected but with perforated lines for tearing which looks so cheap and you have to be so careful not to rip them because of the thin paper. Unhappy, only gave two stars because they did actually have them done within 24 hours. read more

So.......this building is very new and super convenient to where I was, so I decided to stop in for a few items. My first thoughts were....how the heck do I get into the parking lot??? I came in from Franklin Blvd. and there were so many "Do Not Enter" signs. I managed to find my way to the front of the building and was super impressed! While the store is super small, it was so very clean and the employees were so attentive and helpful. As I entered the doors, the cashier welcomed me. There was a lady who was on the floor that quickly and efficiently helped me find a foot brace. I didn't even go to the pharmacy, but I overhead a lady giving advice to someone on the phone and she seemed genuinely concerned about the information she was giving. That made me feel good.
