Was at the CVS pharmacy 2 times this last weekend. The 2 young men behind the counter were very unfriendly. No hello, good morning smiles, nothing. Bad attitude s and not even a thank you and/ or goodbye. The Pharmacist had and even nastier attitude. The way she spoke to me was rude and arrogant. Will not be using CVS pharmacy again. I'll drive a mile down the road from now on and go to Walgreens. read more

Today I had to pick up a prescription from CVS, because I had the dogs with and being that it is 20 degrees outside I used the drive-through. I had my window down waiting for someone to acknowledge I was there. About 5 minutes had past, and I heard a faint noise coming from the speaker. BTW did I state the outside temp?! I said "hello" and I could barely hear the pharmacist ask for my date of birth. I asked her to speak louder but I am not sure she could here me! I was hanging outside of the car yelling into a speaker. If you are going to have a drive-through make sure the intercom works. A few minutes later she appeared at the window. Did she use the sliding glass........... NOPE, she picked up the phone and said something! I can't believe they closed the CVS in Palatine and kept this one. BTW going inside is not much better, the pharmacist here seem to mumble. read more

Don't ever go to the pharmacy around 1 because that's the pharmacy lunch time and those people are hangry! My son had strep so I went to the drive thru window and the girl said 20 minutes so I was waiting in the parking lot across from the drive thru and never did she signal to me she was done so I put a mask on my son and we went inside and then they are like we are at lunch and I am like I was told 20 minutes. They kept telling people they are going to lunch and I am like I was told 20 minutes and they let me get the Rx but didn't want to run the Rx card bec they were going to lunch and I can come back after lunch if I wanted to use my Rx card.. This review is specifically for one cvs employee, Mohammed. Every time I come to CVS instead of having a nightmare, he makes everything so easy. Whether it's giving me a better discount for my Good RX card and not making me wait to catching me on my way out cause I received some good coupons or when I bought something two for one and he didn't make me go get the product and bring it to him, he just said "grab it on your way out." This makes going to CVS a pleasure when on occasion is has not been! read more

Customer service nonexistent at CVS. Unable to speak with a live person. Leave messages and receive a text that message was received but no call back. Switched to Walgreens. Serious problem when your business is medication. CEO and management salaries excessive to the point of gross. US pays more than any other country for medication and CVS cannot provide service. I pulled into the drive-thru, saw the sign in the window that they are closed for lunch. They had 5 minutes left until they were to reopen. About a minute after being in the driveway-thru, so 4 minutes now remaining until they reopen, I hear on the speaker very rudely and aggressively, "you can NOT wait here". I replied, "aren't you reopening in less than 4 minutes?". She said,"you can not wait here. You have to move." I didn't want to lose my place in line. I asked her where she wanted to me go and she replied, "not here". With about 3 minutes left at this point I pulled out, made a slow circle around the parking lot and pulled backed in as it was the end of their lunch. Is this really a rule? read more

This is officially my favorite CVS. I'm a CVS addict and I went to this location for the first time during my lunch hour today. Turns out it's actually the closest to my work. Score! Everything I wanted was in stock, the workers were very friendly and didn't scoff at my many coupons. Plus there are a lot of food places right around it. That's a good thing for me as I will now be going here weekly during my lunch hour! read more

I wish I could give -10 stars. Horrible staff at this location! Repeatedly messing up refills. The latest adventure is marking in their system that a refill was filled when it wasn't and then, when you try to get it refilled, that it is too soon to refill!!!! And the second you express frustration, they get very rude (while trying to accuse you of being rude) and hang up on you. They need to realize that this is not a job where mistakes have no consequences for your customers. I am beyond done dealing with them and am taking my business elsewhere. read more

When you travel out of town for work and pull a muscle in your neck because you're a habitual klutz, it's good to know that CVS's Minute Clinic has your back. I was able to make an appointment online to hold my place before my arrival, which is great. My nurse practitioner was lovely, attentive, and quick. She had my scripts sent to the pharmacy so they would be ready after I left her care. The pharmacy personnel were friendly and quick as well! read more

I recently had a terrible experience with the clinic at Walgreens near my house. I decided to switch it up and try out the minute clinic at CVS. Even though it's about a 15 minute drive away from my house, the service was absolutely worth the trip and I will be coming back. I had scheduled an appointment, when I showed up, no one was in the waiting room. Pretty much as soon as I checked in on the kiosk, I was called in to get taken care of. I dealt with two ladies. One was the nurse practitioner, and I am not sure the title of the first lady. Both were extremely professional, kind and friendly. Their demeanor made me feel at ease. I spent most of the time with the nurse practitioner, who was extremely thorough with telling me exactly what she was going to do, and all the necessary protocol. I had a really great experience here and will continue to come here as needed. read more

The red haired lady at the pharmacy asked if she could help me... and then didn't help at all. scheduled a covid test on the cvs website, she asked for my confirmation number. she then told me I had to go through the drive through window, which is fine except I ubered there and don't have a car. Directions for doing so are not clearly stated (sure you'll get a text message saying to watch a video but only when you're a couple minutes from your appointment). I then asked if I could just walk through the drive through to get the test and she acted like it was the most stupid question in the world. customer service is act helping the people you serve, instead she offered no solutions and seemed happy to get me out of her hair. Brought my 6 year old daughter in at 4:05. They close at 4:30. She's crying- the Doctor comes out and says "sorry can't help". We show her that there is literally an open appointment time at 4:10 and 4:20. She tells us that she already has a patient- and that will run to 4:30...I left frustrated went to Non Med urgent care in Rolling Meadows...in and out in 15 minutes with a prescription for antibiotics and was able to fill. That "doctor" is a piece of work. Avoid this place. read more

Definitely have to agree with Sarah S. Funny to be reviewing a drug store, but this has to be the best neighborhood pharmacy. Very courteous employees, and love the CVS Bucks. I took my elderly father to the Medic Clinic there due to he wasn't feeling well. I called his insurance company they sent me there. We walked in the employees in that part of cvs were laughing with each other, doors were open and we walked in. I was asked if we had an appointment I said no the insurance company said we didn't need one. Suffice to say I was told very coldly I could step and see if there were any open appointments. Mind you there were no other patients in the clinic at that time. While I'm trying to see if there's an appointment they shut all the office doors snd disappeared behind them. No one tried to help us suffice no appts were available for that day. I then loaded my dad in the car and drove to Glenbrook Hospital and spent the next 5 hours getting him taken care as his doctor is off until the end of January. Suffice to say I will never go here again they lost revenue because it would of taken at most 1/2 hour and no one was in there. They all need customer service classes and I realize we didn't have an appt. However we were directed by the insurance company we didn't NEED one. Rudeness and unprofessional behavior is all I can say. read more

I visited this CVS a few weeks ago. During the self check out ( my first time using) the machine wasn't scanning an item so I put it aside and scanned others to save that for last. The machine made a noise- meaning not scanned and as I went back to rescan, count items to make sure I included everything. A female lady/employee approached me and in a not so kind voice asked me what happened. She took my bag, questioned me as to what was in my bag and I realized she thought I was stealing. I seriously went into panic mode to prove I just didn't know how to self check out. She watched me from that moment on like a hawk- I turned around as I was leaving , she watched me walk out THINKING the alarm was going to go off. 25 years I've been coming here. That alone will make me hesitant to ever use self check out again. Whoever this woman is should NOT treat customers like this- I walked out feeling terrible that she thought I was stealing. Of course I still go in, but I keep my distance from this rude rude lady and do not acknowledge her presence. read more

This location could definitely use a cleanup! Entire store is a MESS. All the products are in the wrong spots, half of them have no tags or have fallen on the floor. Staff needs to be trained on how to organize items. Looks like there is about one employee working every time I come in. I can only review on the pharmacy, not the store. Having been subjected to the consistently declining service at walgreens pharmacies the past few years, what a surprise to encounter a team that sees actual PEOPLE on the other side of the counter. My issue was a tricky one, and pharmacist Matt was immediately engaged in it. When he couldn't solve the issue right there, he went over and above until he'd found someone to help me. I typically only have one outstanding service encounter per month and I always try to Yelp about it. The CVS pharmacy in rolling meadows wins my vote for April! read more

I do not recommend this pharmacy. I have a very bad heart condition and shouldn't be nervous or stressful about visiting this pharmacy. I ran out of medicines, so I went to this pharmacy with my 2-year-old grandson to refill them. There was no any customer by the counter, but I was ordered to wait. I stood there for a moment and then I felt bad and sat down next to the counter. Nobody came to serve me despite the fact that 2 pharmacists were watching me from the back room. After a few minutes, a young girl came up to the counter and immediately one of the pharmacists who watched me ran up to serve her. He didn't even look at me, so I took my grandson's hand and left the pharmacy with great regret. No one said a word or tried to stop us. I will not go back there anymore and I will be buying my drugs at the near Walgreens Store. read more

I Have been going to this store for about 18 yrs or more and over the last few yrs the service to get my orders filled in the Pharmacy has gotten so Bad !! After today visit I had enough and decided to move over everything to Walgreens......The Pharmacy Staff is just clueless and every time I fill an order their is issue with it,,,They need to clean house and get ride of everyone of them...I looked for the store Manager and what a joke he is as I was waiting he was clueless to how to enter something into the register and he had to ask the associate how to do it..After that issue he puts up the register is closed sign as I'm standing their and starts to walk away...After voicing my concern and ask for the distract manger's number as he pulls out his phone and fumbles thru it trying to figure out how to work it...,My thoughts he needs to just retire as he useless to this store but then again so it the pharmacy stuff so I see his Management training is now paying off in this store !!....then I call the District Manager and after a few min chat this guy is a Manger Douche bag !! and I know now how the training is filtered thru to the manager and the staff...It all makes scene to me ..A clueless Distract Manager, a clueless store Manager and a Clueless staff...Hmm a Full circle in leadership is in full play at this CVS....Over all rating of this Store F, Staff F , Store Manager F...Distract Manger a major Joke !! I went to the rolling Meadows, Illinois CVS minute clinic for an air issue. I saw Michelle Harris, NP. She's very nice and knowledgeable. I would definitely return in the future if needed. The clinic was very clean and comfortable. read more

I choose to take my kids (and myself!) to the CVS Minute Clinic because the hours are so good and it's way closer than going to our ped. Tonight my youngest woke suddenly after a random nap and was shrieking in pain. It was 7:10pm and he wouldn't stop crying to I went straight to the CVS in Rolling Meadows. Aarti was the CNP working and she stayed open late to care for my son, who she diagnosed with a severe ear infection. I just have to share how wonderful our experience always is there and how helpful and kind the staff is. I will rest easy tonight knowing my kiddo is already on his antibiotics and we are on the road to recovery! Thank you again Aarti for your compassion towards my son. read more

Do you like when people are rude to you and ignore you when you're two feet from them in the driveway of the pharmacy? Unbeknownst to me my insurance card had changed for the first time in 5 years. When I went to pick up my prescription they said I had "no insurance" in the system. Thinking "that's odd" I handed over my insurance card and the window closed to the drive through for FIFTEEN MINUTES with no communication of what was happening. The girl entering in my card avoided all eye contact with me. I even backed my car up and re-rolled over the sensor to try and get her attention. So then ANOTHER pharmacist opened the window, even though the girl with my card was 2 feet from me. At this point I had pulled up a digital copy of my card on my phone to see if anything had changed. I asked "is there something going on with my insurance?" And the snippy brat with my card said "obviously" so I asked for my card back and went on my way. Had someone communicated literally anything to me instead of ignoring me it all could have been resolved within minutes. THEN she called me on the phone and said she called my insurance and a number had changed. I said thank you and she hung up. Because let's face it, she was looking for an apology. That baby needs a nap. Transferred my script elsewhere immediately. You're there to help make people feel better, not be a garbage person. You can't "help" people with an attitude like that! read more

This particular CVS (pharmacy department) has a few very unhappy employees, and this unhappiness is manifesting itself in the ugly form of rudeness. Good customer service is non-existent, both in person and on the phone. Staff are very defensive when their negative behavior and poor service are pointed out, clearly lacking proper training and emotional intelligence. I have come to the conclusion that they feel this attitude is completely acceptable, and they are oblivious to the fact that they need the customers for their business to stay viable. All I can say is read ALL the reviews--I am not the only one to have a horrible experience here!! Decided to go here to refill a prescription since it's closer than the Walgreens and my husband had just gotten out of the hospital after having a full hip replacement. I went here to refill his pain meds and have never seen such incompetent, rude people. First, they tell me I would have to come back the next day to pick up because insurance would not allow it to be put through on that day. I come back and they had nothing ready. I had to sit and wait and then they tell me that insurance will not cover it because it is "too soon" to refill (my husbands doc had upped the dosage the first day he was home, so this one was for the new dosage). I explained the situation to them re: the new dosage and they just said, sorry-you have to pay out of pocket. I then asked if they could just do a partial refill so I could come back when it was the "right time"..they abruptly said "we don't do partial refills".. WFT?!! I was so infuriated and I knew my husband would be in excruciating pain if he did not have his pain meds, so I paid the full price out of pocket because these nimrods couldn't figure it out. I get the whole insurance thing, but have a little compassion and understanding--it goes a long way. I will NEVER EVER get a prescription filled at CVS again. I will stick with Walgreens--at least they are friendly and helpful, not like these idiots!! read more

I have gotten prescriptions filled here for years and if it wasn't for my insurance requiring me to use this pharmacy I would definitely go ANYWHERE else but CVS. They staff is inept, their automated system calls to remind you to fill prescriptions you are no longer taking and when you go to pick up an Rx the chances of it being ready are like 10%. I just called the pharmacy to get my daughters monthly prescription filled when I was informed by MAT that they had to call the doctor to verify. I told him that I called the day before the 4th of July and that was to be done this morning. He said he would have to call the Doctor again since there was no response. This was at 8:30 P.M. I told my husband and he said he got a call from them at 2:45 pm that the perception was ready to be picked up. WTF is wrong with these people at CVS. All I have is continual problems with them. Do they keep your name in a data base that says "screw with me" every time I need medication? I hate cvs! Walgreens is the way to no B.S. Cvs can kiss my ass. I will never step foot in that god forsaken store as long as I live. They a right up there with Walmart, as far as I'm concerned. Obviously Walmart SUXS, TOO. The only thing I can say is if I needed assistance from that sh@# hole, my husband will have to do it since they don't give him a hard time. read more
