Minute Clinic Review: don't come here if you have co-morbidities, been sick for a few days and need antibiotics to prevent worsening of breathing/sinus/upper respiratory issues. Worse yet: the very young nurse practitioner already made up her mind that antibiotics were a no go before the formal request. (During intake, the person doing vitals asked what the problem was and stated antibiotics weren't prescribed unless symptoms were significantly worse and for longer. Should have walked out then.) Did you know the rate for meningitis goes up if you let strep linger for longer? You're not going to lose your license for prescribing antibiotics to a patient who has the history and all the valid reasons why. Go to your doctor. *18 hour update: Symptoms worsened overnight. Awaiting the dr now and got this email from CVS: "Causes and treatments Sinusitis usually resolves on its own within 7 to 10 days. Most cases of sinusitis are caused by viruses and cannot be treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics are only used to treat bacterial infections. Antibiotics awareness You may have used antibiotics to treat sinus issues in the past. But they can't help with viral infections. And since overuse of antibiotics can the cause drugs to be less useful over time, providers only prescribe them when necessary. You can find out more about antibiotic resistance at CDC.gov" Be your own advocate. And don't expect new medical professionals to deviate from policy when everyone alive understands that at time there's a difference in policy and reality and you can still respect both. read more

Biting my words from August 2020. Today's service was so horrific that I tried lodging a complaint on CVS.com but kept receiving an error code upon submission. The last few times I've been to this CVS have been awful, but today takes the cake. I just sat on hold with CVS corporate for over half an hour, relayed my complaint (and let them know their online submission form is out of commission), and they said they'd relay it to the district manager to handle. After all of that, I asked about delivery since the app doesn't recognize my new address as residential. She transferred me to another agent, who took down my information and then put me on hold for another 6 minutes, despite claiming it would be 1-2 minutes. When she picked back up, she asked if I had updated my address with the pharmacy yet. I said yes. She asked to put me back on hold and I said no, I had been on hold way too long already. She said she'd research it more and call me back, but my hopes aren't high. As for today's service, I've been visiting this pharmacy location for a long time now and have never been spoken to with such disrespect. Every other team member says, "Thank you" or "Please" or speaks with general manners when I use the drive-thru to pick up my scripts. I'll just leave it at that. I'll update this if they fix the delivery issue or if the district manager reaches out. 2/13/21: Brandie with CVS.com never called me back. The store manager here, Pin Pin, sent me a basic email template asking me to provide more info even though I literally provided a full transcript when I lodged the complaint. You'd think all CVS pharmacies are all alike, but not so. This one near Willow Lawn is below the mark. It's low on stock and many aisles were littered with empty boxes. I went to purchase some travel sized products, among other things. There was a sign that said buy 4 get 1 free. When I tried to purchase them, the cashier said I couldn't buy them. I told her about the sign. She and another co-worker exchanged rolling eyes. She was discourteous and had an attitude. When I said I'd come back later and buy my purchases then (inwardly hoping to find a different cashier working) she made several rude remarks. I wasn't going to confront her and I was late for an appointment but I wasn't done yet. Well, I did go back about an hour later, to speak with the manager and to purchase my items. Of course, he allowed me to buy my travel sized products, informing me that the sign was correct & apologized for his employee. He handled the situation well, but the whole ordeal left me with a bitter "pill" to swallow. This isn't my neighborhood CVS, and I doubt I'll return here any time soon. But if I do, I'll be sure to check out with the manager. Hopefully, he will train his staff to be more pleasant to their customers. He saved this review from a one star* status! read more

Great people. Good prices. Mostly open on time. Watching the people stand outside the doors staring into the dark abyss past the glass doors that remain unopened well past 11 minutes is amusing. We all get used to our routines, watching people broken off their routine is amusing. Shuffling feet, impatient glances and looks of disgust. It's okay for them to be late for work is okay, but the under paid cashier bring later is barbaric :) read more

We are a family of five with lots of prescriptions. I loved my pharmacy until today at 8am. I WILL NEVER BE BACK! "THE" pharmacist came to the window, opened it and said , " We just opened, what do you need?" My response, "You are open, right?" He doesn't respond. He says, "What's your last name?" I say, "S.....r." He says, "I'm working on your "Z" prescription now", closes the window and walks away. I stay put. He comes back and says, "What ELSE?" I say my two migraine meds. He says, "I don't have enough of the "b" and the insurance won't cover the "s." I ask if the the insurance said why so I know if it will be out of pocket or require a prior authorization. He closes the window in the midst of me asking. Therefore I went to WALGREENS, FOUND OUT I NEEDED A PRIOR AND COULD PAY $38.16 TODAY OR WAIT FOR IT. At that time, I changed all of my families scripts to WALGREENS! I REFUSE TO SPEND MY MONEY AND LEAVE PISSED OFF! This new staff doesn't understand their community of prep school soccer moms...we won't be having this behavior in our community! Beware!!!!! I have had very poor experiences with this particular pharmacy. There was incident with them shorting a prescription by 15 pills and one of the techs actually arguing with me over it. A manager had to step in-pretty sure that guy isn't there anymore.This time, I had a prescription sent in by the dr and I get a txt from cvs that it is ready to pickup. I get there and I am informed that they never sent a txt and that they are 'out' of that particular medication-that it will be in stock in two days and they will notify me when it should be ready. A whole week passes, no contact. I go to the pharmacy again. A different person says they are out of stock and no order is set to come in for that particular medication. Whaat!?!? I waited a week for them to tell me they aren't going to bother with ordering and filling my prescription?!?! I had to ask to have it sent to another pharmacy nearby. That kind of thing can be potentially life threatening for those who are chained to medication for life! Ridiculous. Will be switching from there permanently. read more

LOVE This CVS. The pharmacy staff has little turnover, and the pharmacists are all really knowledgeable and NOT judgmental. The store is kept clean and neat, and the shelves are neatly stocked. This is probably my favorite convenience store in town. read more
