I have never been a coupon queen before, so I'm not sure where this obsession comes from, and it only applies to CVS. But boy, do I get some good deals here! Today I racked up a total of $108, and my discounts, coupons and specials took the total down to $60, plus I got $11 of ExtraBucks to use towards my next trip there. Shopping at CVS is one of the few things in my life that actually gives me a feeling of success and accomplishment! This is a full-sized CVS and it's a standard layout. It's in a good location in East Passyunk, and it has a parking lot, which is helpful in this neighborhood. It is well stocked, though some items like toothpaste and soap are locked up and you have to track down a worker to access them, but that's pretty standard now in Philly and other big cities, unfortunately. The pharmacy staff has always been friendly and efficient, though the other day I heard a man swearing because the pharmacy had closed for lunch, so be aware of that if you're picking up a prescription at that time of day. I will be returning shortly, because as soon as I checked out I received a coupon for $6 of my purchase of $20 or more, and it expires in a week!

He checks the orders, they deal with the insurance bs. The women who work there appear to be counting the minutes to retirement but they are polite and competent. They keep the store stocked and I take a pic of something funny every time. Spicy KY Jelly? THAT is something you don't see everywhere. I am obsessed with Bertolino's and will never go elsewhere.

They use the NimbleRx portal to order and pay for your meds which is simple to use. I love that you can have automatic refills and convenient delivery to your home. You can also have your packages delivered there if you're worried about doorstep theft. There's a small selection of snacks, candy, toiletries, cards, and OTC meds for reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

This location is handy for that, but I don't think that's to their credit necessarily. Admittedly, staff here are not the most helpful. Sometimes slow, sometimes distracted and off doing something else. At the very least, they seem understaffed at this location, as it's sometimes a bit of a wait to get help, even with just checking out. All of the stuff is locked up here, presumably to avoid theft. However, it leads to a lot of friction when you have to press the button and wait for the same person to come and unlock a case for you to get each item in your multi-item shopping list. At the very least I haven't had any issue with stock here ever. Just a lot of friction in the shopping experience.

Seriously, the store has super comfortable rocking chairs inside, inviting all to take a load off and relax. The pharmacists did not tell me for a week that they had filled my prescription because they unilaterally decided that the copay was too expensive. In August 2025, when Rite-Aid filed for bankruptcy, my prescriptions were transferred to this CVS. They regularly lied to me about when new prescriptions would be ready and treated me like a criminal. After two weeks without my life-saving medication, I found a place across the city that was far more courteous and receptive to my needs.

I was given the wrong medication for my son which I had to correct myself. I then stopped by for a flu shot for my 10-year old - which was advertised to me repeatedly. The pharmacist would not even look up at me from her computer and extremely rudely told me it was too close to their closing time for a flu shot (20 min to close). Apparently we were a tremendous inconvenience. Do not recommend. There are many other wonderful pharmacies in the city.
