So I've been saying to the Mrs. for a while: Oxford needs a burger joint. Just a burger, maybe…read moredogs, and it would kill. No dinner, just lunch service. Boom. Print money. So I find Sam's. "You been there?" I asked my buddies. Nope. "It's not just a convenience store, right?" Shrugs. It's Friday. It's July 1st. Why not celebrate the coming holiday with America's culinary gift to the planet: the triple cheeseburger. I called it in, the very polite lady on the phone took my order. "You want everything on that, baby?" Yes, ma'am. Kitchen sink. I'm on my way. Sam's is a place where everyone knows everyone. It's a grill, but it's also part of a community. And when I rolled in, I felt like part of it. I waited a while, because the day of the week and the month meant everyone was getting takeout. I had a great side chat with the other guys waiting, and watched them pay out all three burgers and grill them. First time here, I said. "Oh, you'll be back, baby. You sure you want slaw and chili?" Of course, I let them know that there is no other proper way to dress a burger, and they agreed. I brought my greasy brown paper bag of goodness (after grabbing my combo soda out of the cooler) back home. Everything was wrapped tightly in wax paper, and after hurriedly tearing it open, I was rewarded with just a classic Carolina burger, stacked high and falling over under its own mass. Not greasy, not gooey, just freaking delicious. The fries were wrapped in a little paper boat, crisp crinkles. This is another Oxford gem. Friendly, not fast, just great food. It's hidden in plain sight, and I'm not sure why people aren't crushing this place weekly.

My hubby had the pork chop with potato salad and Mac & cheese- absolutely delicious. -very reasonably priced especially in this day and age!. These were takeout plates today but there is space inside to sit down and eat. While you are in the store- pick up your favorite drink and/ or sundries and gas up your car while you wait for your food - she wants your food nice & hot -she prepares the convenience foods when it's ordered. Angie is very friendly and knows how to cook. She's open most days from breakfast hours to dinner. Covid protocol in place!!

I was traveling and caught a flat tire. pulled over at the sheetz ( which is suppose to be a safe place) only to end up dealing with the local police. the store closed at 11:30 on a Monday even thru it's a 24hr store. the manager said I had to leave I adv I'm NOT from out here only passing thru and caught a flat on the highway, I was waiting on a tow truck. a few moments went by and she came to me again saying she was going to call the police or the companys truck service if I didnt leave. I asked her do I put the car on my back like let's be serious. 5 mins later 2 henderson police officers pull up as if I was ready to rob the place. staying the manager wanted me off the property. I adv unless someone is going to change my tire we ALL will wait on the tow truck and then I will gladly leave. we did just that. I called the store the next day to see what the protocol was and they hung up in my face and did not answer. I reach out to corporate and havent heard anything back. The manager lied to the police stating I WOULD NOT leave instead of telling them WHY I couldn't leave. I am beyond traumatized and still confused on WHY the police was called for NO REASON If you from out of town passing through on the highway DO NOT i repeat DO NOT stop at this sheetz on ext 212. did I mention it was me and my wife 2 females. what threat were we like honestly

Stopped into this location and was incredibly impressed with the customer service I received from Victoria in the pharmacy! She was very knowledgeable and most of all PATIENT as I had a bunch of questions. This young lady is proof that there is hope for this world.
