I was pleasantly surprised to find the store very clean and welcoming unlike other Rite Aid's I have visited in the past. Kimberly approached me asking if I needed assistance and quickly helped me find everything I needed. To my surprise she was the manager and found time to interact with not just me but other customers. She made my shopping experience amazing. I will be a return shopper, at least to this store.

I have made numerous calls, visits, to get my med, always given a slightly different story. I finally called this morning and asked them to transfer the script, and was told it'd be done immediately. Got on the CVS app this evening, and noticed the script was PUT ON HOLD, NOT transferred. so, I called the pharmacy. FINALLY got someone to transfer it to another CVS, but was told I was triggering the employee. WHAT does she think CVS is doing to me by basically just not filling my script??? An added insult is the pharmacy refused to call other CVS's to see if they could get the med from another store, they told me to do it myself. WTH? SO done with this store (this has happened in the past with other prescriptions, particularly for my dog's cancer meds.) They obviously do not care about the customer! i would have given this NO stars, except the whiny person I spoke to tonight FINALLY transferred my script as asked. If you need a med (especially if it is a not widely available med), do NOT use this location, you are better off driving an hour to a reputable pharmacy.

During the last few weeks my family and I have had Bronchitis and Pneumonia and needed multiple prescriptions filled. Most prescriptions (no matter how many) take more than 2 hours to fill since the pharmacist is busy multitasking (which leads one to question why isn't there an extra pharmacist available to give injections so the other can fill prescriptions). Once the prescriptions are "ready", they tell you they are out of several and it will be three days before they have it in stock. Why did I wait for two hours for prescriptions they don't have? In addition, should patients be asked to wait three days for an inhaler? The tech didn't even offer to call other pharmacies to see if they had it in stock. Pathetic customer service. When we asked if they would call, they did, but failed to fax the prescription to the other pharmacy. This store has lost my business. I would rather wait in line at Walmart or drive elsewhere. The corporate offices need to understand the product they are selling is medication for many who are horribly sick. Waiting two hours, or three days, is unacceptable. I'm not the only one in the community feeling this way ~ just survey your customers and take reviews seriously. I waited for the pain to dull and found myself in my vehicle and on the road for some type of solution. Quick search showed that CVS was nearby and I headed in that direction as fast as I could. I will say this is not the best CVS I have been to, but for what I was here, it served its purpose. The parking lot was atrocious. It was like one of those brain teaser puzzles to figure out not only where to park, but how to make your way through without taking out another car. Inside is a bit disorienting. The aisles were set up weird. I somehow made my way to the pain reliever section. Probably looking like a hot mess because I look like I'm in shambles with my sunglasses and whatever it was I threw on. Found my Aleve and headed to the coolers to grab a drink to wash this down with. I believe I used the self checkouts. The state I was in would not have served anyone right so the self checkouts was where it was at for me. Another no plastic bag situation but since I was only getting two items I didn't need one. Made my way back out of this place and prayed to whomever that CVS may have just saved the day.

I walked in about 11:15pm (traveling thru town) and I walked to the beverage section. I wanted to get 1 beer and when I went to open the door, I saw that the door was "pad locked". Ok. I walked to the front counter and patiently waited my turn. When my turn was next I said with a smile 'Hey, I see the beer section is closed. Have you stopped selling beer?". (I know that VA sells beer up until 12:00 midnight). The woman whom was dressed sloppily, said to me, "we lock the doors cuz people be stealing them". "I can open it for you" she said. "Ok" i said. So as we mosied over to the beer section I asked innocently, "So, what time do you lock the doors?". She said we locked them at midnight. I said...ok....but they are locked now. So what time do you normally lock them?. She said "We lock them at midnight". At this pont we had gottne to the doors of the beer section. I tugged on the door and pointed to the padlock that was restricting me from opening the door. I then said. 'But it is locked now". "So even though you lock them permanently for the night at midnight, what time do you lock the doors". She said" We lock them at midnight. Whaddya you want.?" Ok. So now I know what I am dealing and presented with. I said, " I decided that I am not thirsty". And I began to leave. Then this sloppily dressed worker muttered something under her breath and I was HAPPY to leave. Royal Farms is a sad option for a convenience store. WaWa patrons and employees are all so friendly. But when you go to Royal Farms/joke, the personnel are less than friendly, the patrons dont hold the door for you like they do at WaWa's. It is truly a lesson in building a brand, And the Royal Farms brands is unsatisfactory. I don't go to the Royal Farms 1 mile from my house either. I had a negative experience with a MANAGER there. Ill save that story for another day.
