I always find it interesting how CVS and Walgreens are always on the opposite corners in every town. They both seem to do well and always carry a large stock (and variety) of the [shower, shave, aspirin, prescription medication, etc...] items I'm looking for. They even have a drive through for their pharmacy for those days I do not feel like getting out of the car. But beware, if you use the drive through be prepared to wait a bit if there are cars in front of you. Dispensing prescription medicine is a timely transaction. I like CVS for their young, energetic team that has always been extremely helpful with those hard to find items. I also like the idea of their food aisles with the basics.... This was extremely helpful during hurricane Sandy. Give them a try if you're not already a customer. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the quantity and variety of items you can find in this store. read more

Flu shot not free. Front of store has a big sign Free Flu and vaccine shots. I go there and they say only free with insurance otherwise $50.

Literally plastered all over the place are that they're open 24 hours. This just in, out of the blue: they are not. This used to be my go-to CVS because they had good variety & a great selection for late-night runs. No more. There's no appeal to come here anymore when their hours are completely ambiguous. A few days ago I saw they were closed around 11:15/11:30PM; empty parking lot, ALL lights off including exterior. I came by here again today at 10:15PM and see a woman go up to the entrance and the doors don't open and there's an employee locking doors & setting the alarm system. No, they don't have new hours posted, nor did they take down the plethora of "24 hour" signs they have plastered everywhere. In the past couple minutes I've been here writing this review, I've seen *10* separate groups of people come here and be denied entry, then visibly upset. Half of them went to their competitor across the street, Walgreens. Perhaps because they were lied to? Maybe if they didn't falsely advertise their hours, this would cause customers to waste their time! Just a thought. ‍ How about take down your 24 hour signs first before you arbitrarily apply new hours to your store? It's really a shame because now the Walgreens across the street is open later than them, which is kind of embarrassing. This has to be the worst CVS in the tri-state area. I was handed the wrong prescription and almost paid for it, because the people behind the desk are so incompetent. 45 minute wait to get any prescription and the cashiers can't even run your insurance so you have to wait 45 more minutes for that. Apparently this CVS likes to not stock the much needed products and instead they're just kept up front behind the registers. 24HR CVS, NOT! Pharmacy closes at 10:00 pm, be warned all of you "out of stater's" who need something and have your state doctor call something here for you thinking its 24 hrs. The pharmacy staff at this location is incredibly difficult to deal with. I have been laughed at, lied to, and given the run around for so many prescriptions. This is a very good pharmacy . They are better than doctors . They answer your question and they care for their customer . This pharmacy fight my insurance company to get the creams I need it . My PA which had little experience did not want to be bother with it . I think she was unqualified to work in a Dr office . After 15 years of being a loyal CVS pharmacy customer I am now switching my prescriptions and overall business to Walgreens. Every prescription that is not on auto-refill is a complete hassle; it will take them 24+ hours to actually fill it even when you call it in, confirm with a pharmacy staff member, then call back 7 hours later to check on it so you do not have to wait for the order to be filled when you go into the store and they confirm they will have it ready in an hour; turns out they will not. A few of their pharmacists are condescending and NOT helpful to the degree of I'm bothering them. I never post reviews but it has just gotten so bad here that I cannot and will not ever recommend going to this pharmacy. read more

Worst CVS I have ever been to! No one is helpful and everyone has an attitude. It's clear they weren't properly trained. Coupon center is always broken and workers refuse to print coupons at register for you until you are checking out. I think I have been to every CVS on LI - granted, all of them have issues with the pharmacy, long lines, etc. etc. This CVS in particular has the worst pharmacy technicians, probably on the planet! I have never had such trouble filling my prescriptions in my life! Then if you're lucky enough to have them process a refill, the incompetence of the cashiers will send you through the roof, as their lines are unlike any other CVS! Here are the cons to this store, 1- 2 times I've had to pick up my prescription I've waited about 45 minutes after getting a phone saying it was ready, today was something special 7 hours no phone call! Meaning after leaving the doctor 7 hours later I got my prescription. The person behind the counter said "were really busy today", i should have went there yesterday better yet another store.... 2- There's no line set up in this store. People just jumping in front not knowing how it works, luckily I walked in and set up a line didn't know who was next? Formation set up process needs to be put in place, people are idiots and need directions. Get a couple of belt barriers and set up a line system. That way people don't asks where's the line and people cutting people off and wasting the employees times with stupid questions and trying to manage a line. 3- under staffed at the pharmacy, there is 2 registers and only 1 being used causing 2-3 people in front of you, making it a 45 mins wait. Then the employee has to go threw all the prescription ask someone where it is they go to help find it then it has to go threw the process of insurance at another computer the person stays there 15-20 minutes later the next customer is call, luckily the next person is in order and is out in 5 minutes. Now there's one person left in front of me, here comes the lady out of left field I've been waiting over here for almost a hour. Somehow she got special privilege to cut the line, no line nor waiting system really set up. Needed to show a example of why under staff is a issues. Need to put employees in sectionals and only have 1 or 2 task to do, might be overwhelming if you give them 3 things to do. 4- cleanliness, the counter is the first thing you see when you walk up to a register. I see dust and can tell those counters have never and or barely been wiped meaning there is a lot of germs on that counter and only anti bacterial gel is for the staff. People that are sick go to this counter it should be cleaned at least 30 times a day, hospitals standard clean. And that should also go for the whole store. 5- there's no bagging system at the pharmacy set up make a bagging system. People do just get the prescription there they buy other things. I've realized what CVS stands for now- Caution Very Slow. Now here are the pros of the store 1- parking is great, that's in a nut shell. 2- staff is friendly, but that is everywhere 3- front end moves quickly even with a long line 4- it's nice to get good parking and walk in and out of a place but the pharmacy, come on. I will give 2 stars but that's is it, it's a fair rating. I will still shop at this store but never again to fill my prescription. read more

They compensate for this by offering a drive-thru drug hookup, and do deal well with packed aisles & formidable lines. read more

I live around this area,when ever I want to buy an item or supplies for the house or jobs,I would say this cvs is the best,the sales at this place is really kind and absolutely kind and helpful. I'm never afraid of waiting in line because every time when the line is getting full they will always open a lane for customer to pay for their item :) read more

On the plus side, the store is clean and there is a wide selection of goods. The biggest problem here is that there is frequently only one cashier working in the front of the store. I used to go there 2 or 3 times a week to shop for a variety of things, but now I only go when I have to fill a prescription or I have an idle 30 minutes. The pharmacy is good, but the line for non-pharmacy purchases is just too long, and the lone cashier waits until the line is 10 deep before asking for help. My friends in the neighborhood suspect that the store is closing since it seems like they have given up on the checkout line. It's too bad because we love CVS and it used to be the only place we would go for one-stop shopping convenience. When they fix the long checkout line we will definitely be frequent customers again! read more

I wish 0 stars was an option and I also wish I had gone to a different pharmacy when moving to the area a month ago. Due to a "clerical error," it took me 4 days, 3 calls from my doctor, and 3 half-hour long trips to get my prescription refilled. First, I supplied them with my driver's license to set up my account. Apparently, not having the ability to read and/or write, they set me up with an incorrect first name. Then, rather than just adjusting my name when it was brought to their attention, they added a second account for me while also adjusting the first account. Whenever my doctor called in a prescription, they put it under the first account. Whenever I went to pick it up, they would look at my second account and tell me my doctor never called them. Finally after 4 days, they realized their issue and told me it was ready to pick up. After arriving they still told me my doctor hadn't called! They then had me wait 45 minutes while they filled the prescription after they "realized" their error for the second time. I will be going across the street to Walgreens from now on. Avoid this CVS as their "clerical issues" may end up hurting someone. read more
