Surprisingly impressed. Great pharmacy manager and staff. I switched to this CVS after Rite aid closed and was nervous because of the cvs horror stories. I get 2-3 different prescriptions per month and this pharmacy has always helped me get my meds consistently. Anytime I have questions and send a message about my script they always call me back within an hour. A few times I've dealt with backordered meds and insurance issues and the staff have worked to resolve or get guidance on what action I should take. Those with negative views, please remember this. CVS corporation is evil and does not give pharmacists the support they need. Yet pharmacy staff does their best for our safety and health. Often, barriers like staffing, regulations, and insurance are the cause of your problems. PS: I am not a special, high priority patient who's life is at risk without my meds. All my meds are routine and can be missed without any serious effects yet they STILL prioritize getting my scripts on time, even a few days early. read more

Look. The pharmacy industry sucks and there are major issues regarding consolidation of services and streamlining and cost cutting. Pharmacists have been stressed. Local pharmacies with great personal service have been put out of business. None of this applies to a review of this particular location. I've been forced to either go here or get medication in the mail (something I don't want to do) so I'm stuck. In this context, there is nothing wrong with this CVS location. It is set up to be efficient, to minimize staff time, and to streamline the delivery of a huge number of prescriptions on a daily basis. They do OK. It's not miserable to pick up my medication here. My husband and I registered online to get our COVID vaccines at the Jenkintown location. The staff was welcoming and super efficient, and the vax itself was quick and painless (Thank you to Mike, the pharmicist!) Without question, we'll be returning here for future vax needs. read more

Drug stores are hard to rate, but I do love this location's vaccination staff and cleanliness. Pharmacy can get really busy, but they're at a major intersection. Vaccine staff is kind, CVS minute clinic is iffy. I went recently for what I thought was a sinus infection, was told it's just allergies, and urgent care ended up putting me on sinus medication for a sinus infection. But otherwise I've liked the staff there. Pretty location, stock is good, no major complaints! read more

Service was great by Joey the pharmacist. My issue is with CVS. CVS Has the pharmacist working alone. No tech , no person on the register. Joey was taking phone calls, dealing with drop offs , pick ups, working the drive thru and doing her JOB! I don't think anyone goes 6 figures into debt thinking they are going to have to deal with all of that. She's a pharmacist NOT a Jack of all trades. This feedback and review is for the front counter cashiers. There are (3) CVS stores within the proximity of my home. I chose this CVS because of their 24hr Pharmacy. As a whole, they have great incentives with their loyalty card and extra care rewards for household products, cosmetics, health, and everyday basic necessities. Most of the cashiers I've encountered are very helpful and knowledgeable about their products, incentives, and rewards program. Never, had an issue until a few days ago with a transaction. I happened to get two fellow employees that had a "condescending" attitude towards me. They did not offer a resolution. They told me to contact Customer service. Just spoke to customer service and they've told me that the store employee SHOULD have and could have easily rectified the situation and to go back. Still unresolved! This incident definitely rubbed me the wrong way and pretty much inconvenienced me a consumer. Please check your receipt and do NOT use the self checkout. They'll blame you the customer, for selecting and choosing prompts on the screen via KIOSK. Who's job is it anyway!?!?? These kiosks are the replacement of YOUR jobs...better watch it A & N! They don't answer their phone. I've been on hold for roughly 25 minutes. I'm on a few basic prescriptions which I get on a regular basis. I just called in to fill two, and a day later they are on hold with no explanation. This sort of BS happens several times a year. My daughter had the flu, took her to the doctor and she got prescribed cough meds, that have been out of stock like everything else in this world. Figured I would still pick it up so if she gets sick again I will have the medicine, the doctor Joey ( who is a woman) was the rudest doctor I think I have ever dealt with, I'm not going to put my full story on here, but she needs to learn to speak to customers with respect!!! This review is just for the minute clinic and the pharmacy. First let's go with the Minute Clinic. I looked up locations on the internet and looked to see which location took my insurance. This location popped up that it did so I went here. I arrive and wait 20 minutes and finally am taken in. First I must say that the CRNP on duty was very hard to understand. I had to ask her to repeat herself NUMEROUS times. She then proceeds to tell me that they do not take my insurance and that she has never seen it before. I explained that they do indeed take my insurance according to their website. We went back and forth for a few minutes about this. They should be more informed and aware about the insurances they accept. Now let's talk about the pharmacy. I'm waiting a half an hour and finally ask the pharmacist, Rosa, because they were ignoring me if they were aware I was just seen at the minute clinic and am waiting for my prescription. She looks at me and says with an attitude "we're working on it." Meanwhile as I'm waiting I hear the pharmacist and the 2 other employees complain that there are too many people on the schedule for Sunday and that someone was scheduled to come in at 8:30. They complained that this was their slowest day and no way should they have that many people working. The pharmacist was also complaining that her last day was suppose to be the previous day and how she wasn't even suppose to be there. Their behavior was extremely unprofessional. 50 minutes total I got my prescription. I will NEVER be going back to this CVS. read more

I'm done with this location. I simply think they are overworked and understaffed! I left Abington Hospital with 2 RX's, one an antibiotic that I needed to start ASAP. The wait time at 2pm was 2 hours!. Fine, I can get my friend, neighbor to pick it up later on her way home. (Very thankful for her) 6pm, 7pm comes and still the RX is not ready! I finally called them - on hold for 15min in the process - to have the RX transferred to the Hatboro, PA - about 6 miles away and the closest 24hr CVS in the area. Since THEY were overloaded with filling scripts, my (edit) RX was not ready until 11:30pm! I NEVER had a problem with this location, but it has gone downhill fast. Not just Jenkintown. it's all of them. Few other locations I won't mention here that are simply rude and miserable. I already said it, it's understaffed...all of them, even the location in the Abington Target store. YET, CVS continues to construct new large locations like Route 611 in Horsham. Hire some decent help, staff these places before constructing more stores! As for this convenient location, forget it. I'll find another pharmacy - and it will not have the massive red letters "C-V-S" on the building. read more

On the third attempt the pharmacist was engaged still distributing flu shots. He finally transfers the my prescription and informed me that they DID NOT HAVE that drug!!!!! Because I was in such discomfort I decided to sit in the parking lot for almost an hour and 15 minutes because I really needed that medication. I trusted them and the pharmacy technician failed to read the entire prescription that she received a paper version. The failure to be read a Prescription accurately can result in a variety of issues up to and including death. I absolutely would never trust this pharmacy read more

835 Old York Rd Jenkintown. Went through the drive thru and a very unprofessional older lady with blonde hair named Joey comes to the window and says "What's Up?" I give her the name & she brings me my script. I tell her I need to put in another prescription to which she tells me to call & she has a line of 10 people waiting. Before I could even respond, she abruptly closes the window on me and walks away. I literally had to drive around, park my car & go inside & stand in line. WHY???? When all this woman had to do was put my prescription in for me. It would have literally taken her 2 seconds. There was another man inside who became upset because she told him to sit down and wait while she she took another lady. The man explained that he was there first. This Joey person appears to be racist, she made me and the other man of color wait, while she happily waited on another person who was not of color. She even rang up extra items for this woman that were not pharmacy related even though she claimed she was so busy. The man in front of me told me she is very racist and he ended up just leaving. This woman Joey claimed she put in her 2 weeks notice. I hope this is true otherwise she needs to be fired. Terrible customer service and horrible attitude. Treat every customer with the same level of respect and consideration. Don't pick & choose who you'll treat fairly. Reading other reviews, it seems this woman has been giving terrible customer service for a while and CVS doesn't care. read more

I get really good coupons from CVS for Scott Tp & paper towels! I use them to fill my prescriptions too.

Very poor organization of the Covid vaccine area. People wandering about too closely to each other, too many customers coming nearby (some with masks pulled down), not clear where people should be standing (even though marked on the floor). Too many people around and about, and just not enough social distancing before or after the shot. There is a space outside for covid tests, surely a better system (inside or outside the store or via drive through) could be organized. What should have been a moment of a sigh of relief was anything but. read more

This post pertains to CVS, 835 Old York Road, Drive thru pharmacy. DON'T DO THE DRIVE THRU!! I went there this morning to pick up ONE prescription, so I decided to do the efficient thing and go through the drive thru. Huge mistake! I waited over 30 minutes to get my prescription and couldn't get out of line because I was stuck in the middle. It took 45 minutes total to get in and out of there. When I finally reached the window I said "what on earth is taking so long?" The pharmacist informed me they were conducting Covid testing through the drive thru line?!? What!? Are you kidding me!? What lame ass manager decided to do Covid testing through the drive thru? Completely inappropriate considering some older and/or healthy people just want to pick up a prescription!! Shame on you CVS. You lost me as a customer. And wake up and learn how to post signage PRIOR to getting in the drive thru line!!! read more

Almost 12 days since took the coronavirus test and NO results. No one to call, only pre-recorded messages. They blame everything on lab when I don't know if it even got there. I've had no issues with this pharmacy. They're one of the easiest ones I've ever had to deal with. The staff is always friendly. The pharmacy is open 24 hours a day and there's even a drive-through. So thankful to have a 24 hour CVS AND pharmacy in the neighborhood! read more

I have shopped at this store for 10 years and was very satisfied until today. The store manager refused to honor a 20℅ off coupon that I had just gotten from getting a flu shot. I had to walk back to pharmacy and stand in line a second time (after picking up an Rx). The manager was wearing a dirty shirt and no name badge. His attitude was generally poor. In contrast, the pharmacy and minute clinic are quite good. Both score a 5 star. The zero that the manager gets for the general store means that the whole store scores a failing grade (5 + 5 + 0)/3 =67% read more

This CVS was PRICE GOUGING on an over-the-counter ointment. They charged my husband almost double what I usually pay, on-line usually from medical supply places, or the supermarket. Staggering level of incompetency by all pharmacists behind the counter. Was supposed to have my med refilled this past Monday. Still do not have it refilled, 3 days later. Sent refill request to a wrong Dr. in a different state on Friday and again on Monday. No apologies from anyone. Every day that I show up to get my med I'm only given a pill and told they don't have enough in stock. When I'm there at night, the night staff refers to the day staff as 'idiots'. Was just there today and saw the head pharmacist, Mr. Ta, hiding behind counter listening to my conversation with the tech about all of their mistakes but avoiding doing anything to make it right. I called to see about an antibiotic called in for my child at a different CVS/Pharmacy and before I could finish my sentence, the pharmacist said over the phone she "can't do anything about that". Very rude and inconsiderate. I'm a pharmacist myself and there are better ways to handle things like this. read more

my mom just got released and we had to get her meds filled because the hospital pharmacy was closed. it took about half an hour to get filled but it was only because they had one pharmacist (who was really nice). but she had to deal with phonecalls, drive thru, and people waiting to consult and pick up and checkout. more help would do since this is the nearest cvs that is open 24 hours. read more

Nurse was extremely rude. Showed up to clinic and checked in two hours before closing to get TB testing for new employment, they recommend checking in at least 15 minutes before closing. Waited at the store for two hours, received text to be at clinic in 30 minutes while in store. Nurse sees me sitting in waiting area, closes door to examination room. She walks out at 7:30pm and tells me she's leaving and I can't be seen today. I try to tell her that I need the TB test to start working she tells me to come back tomorrow. Well f#%$ that, now I'm going to Walgreens across the street. read more

My wife uses the CVS Pharmacy located at 835 Old York Rd., Jenkintown, Pa, but in the past has used Walgreens. At my urging she switched to CVS because we own stock in CVS. However, she is going back to using Walgreens, as more than four times in the past year the pharmacy staff has mismanaged her prescriptions, and were not helpful and were broderline rude in their attempt to resolve the matter each time. I believe that many on the staff at this location are borderline incompetent. Each CVS location stands on its own, so I not attempting to impugn CVS as a whole, but this location needs to improve its customer service and level of competency. I'm aware that this review doesn't provide a lot of specifics, but the problems there are real. read more
