Reviewing a pharmacy you say? YEP!…read more Edwards Pharmacy is a locally run business that has an old time counter grill and they make an excellent, excellent meal with a touch of southern hospitality. It's definitely a best-kept secret and you're not going to know about it unless you're a local or a local or someone familiar with the area takes you there. I was taken here Saturday morning for breakfast. The counter has some old Pepsi Co. memorabilia displaying around it. Most prominently an old Mt. Dew sign from days gone by. After ordering a Dew I settled for a fried egg sandwich with a sausage patty and cheese & some hash browns. It hit the spot! The grill staff was also great. They chatted with us throughout breakfast. Should I ever visit Ayden, NC again I'll definitely be stopping in for a bite to eat.

I attended Dr. Baccerra's office for my brother's care. In the beginner the care was great. There…read morewas an occasional issue with medication refills. On September, 23 my brother did blood work on a Monday and always had an office visit several days later. When I called a week or so later I was told he was to have a physical, not an office visit. This has never been the case... I am his Healthcare. Power of Attorney so I knew that was not correct and nobody had told me. I asked about his blood work to be told it was incomplete. I asked why I was told to call Lab Corp to see what the hold-up was. I called Lab Corpor only to be told the sample received was not usable and they had advised the doctor's office. The Lady also explained they should have given me a call to schedule more blood work. I called Dr. Baccerra's office back and was told to bring him in. The CBC was done and no call to advise of the results. I again visited the doctor's office and asked why I wasn't called with the results. It was written on the blood work to make sure POA got a copy. Today was his office visit they still saying physical was for the visit. I told Dr. Baccerra that there was a mix-up and discussed the issues I had from the previous interaction with his office. He began to tell me in so many words that I was wrong about the blood work. When I finally pinned him on the fact that I was right. He proceeded to discharge my brother from his practice. And became some what combative and accusing me of being rude. I asked for better clarification for the mix-up. I couldn't believe he would discharge a 73-year-old patient. Instead of an apology, he became angrier. and because he wasn't telling the truth he rather discharge my brother. I got his license number and left the office. My goal was to ensure my brother got the best care due to his age. If you are not satisfied with a doctor's explanation you can ask them to clarify. If they discharge you that is not the practice for you. Please locate a doctor who takes your concerns seriously.

As I've had no eye complication, I opted to try just the optometrist, and ask for a dilated retinal exam in addition to the assessment for age related macular edema (runs in the family) and glaucoma screening. when I called the front desk was able to fit me in the next day, take my insurance information, and tell me what my insurance covered. When I arrive, I quickly filled out relevant question, and was taken back where the assistant explained I could have the dilated exam if I wanted, but the retinal laser scan obviated the need for that in most patient. Dr. Parker gave me a detailed explanation and went through the retinal scan with me (I've had multiple scans over the years, but never one so quick and clear. As a recently retired endocrinologist, I was very impressed). Dr. Parker conducted a thorough eye and visual exam, adjusted my prescriptio, and I was on my home after 45 minute. All this, and I was able to drive home as I didn't require retinal dilatation. I highly recommend this MyEyeDr

Their pantry items are worthy to buy, most off-brand and some larger brand name items. Their fruits and vegetables and cheeses and other refrigerated items are also good. I am admittedly weird about meat when I do decide to purchase and eat it, so I would probably not buy meat from here, but not because of this specific Aldi's location. This specific location is clean, and the checkout was exceptionally quick and efficient. The place doesn't have employees walking around asking if they can help you, like you see at other locations, but I think this is what helps keep the cost down. I am following a one-week meal plan for one, and I bought all of the ingredients (besides protein) for a total of $85, which is pretty good if you ask me.
