Located only a mile or so from our RV site at Apple Valley Farms. I fueled up the Jeep here before heading out for the day, the pumps are old so there is no "pay at the pump" option but they worked just fine, it was kinda cool the pumps are all metal no plastic parts so there's lots banging and clanging when removing and replacing the nozzle. The interior of the store as you'd expect in such a remote location is filled with a little bit of everything and not a lot of anything with the exception of the wine section, it seemed to be well stocked. The young woman tending the store today was very friendly and full of local knowledge. It's a great place to grab a few items but definitely not a place you'd want to shop for all your needs - it's definitely a niche business so the prices are what they are and it's convenient, it certainly can save you a long drive and save you lots of time...

Though this store is closer to us than any other, we are not willing to purchase only what INGLES wants us to have rather than the brands we prefer (that were formerly in stock there). I bought nothing! We will look for another store (maybe not even Ingles) that carries the brands we want, even if we have to drive farther. Very disappointed!

There was a good amount of southern/homestyle canned jams & jellies marketed to tourists visiting (which could be found at many gift shops in this part of the country), but none were necessarily local. We did pick out a peaches and pecans jam that ended up being awesome on freshly toasted sourdough though. We really wanted there to be more fresh vegetables, but it was slim pickings with just some scraps of not-so-great looking lettuce heads, carrots, and cucumbers. They did however have a nice deli in the far back with some interesting cheeses, as well as some options for pre-packaged and ready-to-eat meats/meals in the coolers adjacent to the deli case. The primary thing stocked here overall seems to be snack foods - of which, there is a good variety, but the shelves felt unnecessarily bare elsewhere and what was there was pretty generic. Service was OK, but from our experience getting cheese from the deli, it was evident that is not a typical request because it took awhile to square it all away. Overall, you'll be able to get some things to stock your pantry, but lowered expectations are necessary.

Secondly, store clerk @CSH:4 according to my receipt; this morning she did NOT bother to acknowledge me. Instead continued to stock under the counter while I stood at counter patiently. Once, she stood up I was not in anyway greeted nor asked what I needed. Instead I received a staring look while she stood there & I said Hi, good morning & she continued to stare back. In addition, clerk did not have mask on. In which, I cannot recall if I saw sign on door if mask were required. I did have my mask on either way. Would like to point out that this treatment of no existence of good customer service drives customers to go across the street or drive down further to a different location.

Strangely poor customer service. Just trying to get an associate to answer a question or ring up a…read moresale takes an act of Congress. The store seems adequately staffed, so I'm not sure why it's so difficult to get assistance. I don't typically review convenience stores, but we stopped here after taking our daughter to urgent care, and just wanted to purchase a beverage for her. We left empty handed, and saw several other patrons leave in frustration as well. If you are in the area and need a convenience item, I would recommend the Shell station across the street.
