This review is for CVS in general NOT this particular location. Location is fine, employees do their best!!! Using CVS as your pharmacy is a great way to test your patience and find out how long it takes to push you over the edge. Especially "appreciate" their new phone call system which forces you to leave a message and won't let you communicate with the pharmacy. I had the worst experience I think ever at Cvs today. I went to return a knee cuff I had purchased a few hours earlier because it didnt fit right. I gave the girl my receipt and had my card and the item. She kept coming up showing I owed them money I said I just would like to return. Well Paola comes over Can't figure out their register and said come back when a mgr is here or pay 18.00......uhhhhhh?????? I said why am I paying to return???? She said come back I said who is the mgr??? She said ME I said and you cant help me?? Nope I tried and NOW go leave to another STORE I will not help you Meanwhile I'm holding a 40.00 item I was not happy She marched off and talking in Spanish super loud at me I went to Pharmacy calmly told the girl what I needed and what happened She takes receipt and item My card Boom bang boom Heres your refund to your card U are all set have a good day Well Thank you for such great service from the pharmacy Paola should not be managing or dealing with people I heard her also tell someone it was too late to get their discount...an elderly lady So shes a BASKET CASE and again she should not be working with the public No wonder CVS sales are down???? I only visited this CVS location because it is closer to my house. Normally, I go to the CVS in Madison, CT, because I've used that store for a long time. I needed to buy an over-the-counter medication for a family member quickly. However, the Clinton CVS was out of stock for the branded medication and the CVS brand version. The shelf where the medication should have been, and similar digestive meds looked like it hadn't been restocked for quite some time. I only gave it one star for two reasons: the pharmacist helped look for the medication, and you must give at least one star to post a review. If you have the "runs," try running elsewhere. read more

My favorite CVS in the area, mainly because the pharmacy is so good. They are always polite and take the time to explain things the costumer should know. Never screwed up any prescriptions which is always a good thing. The rest of the store is typical CVS, except this one seems to have tons of junk food and candy. Worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. I have autofill on 2 prescriptions for 90 days. First autofill I receive not one, but 2 'sealed' bottles of 90. One was sealed with not lable on it, the other was opened with my name and info. Brought them both back, pharmacist assured they would talk to there person who filled this. Next month I received another opened bottle. Again I call the pharmacist and asked for another bottle. I wasn't going to try to count out 90 little pills and where they tampered with? First time shame on you, second time see you later. Unfortunately our insurance require use to use CVS. I'm going to try their mail-order. If I get sick I will go to Walgreens the next town over to assure I get what I need! Especially if I get sick on a Sunday, they close as 6pm! read more

The pharmacy "manager" Laura Craven is the most unprofessional, egotistical, rude, non caring pharmacist I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I would like to note that all other employees are very nice. But yes CVS, it just takes one bad apple in a managerial position to send many customers packing. It's a small town and you have a lot of competition. Combine her nasty disposition, the always long wait times, no drive through window, terrible parking that only allows you to exit right onto Route 1 just keep driving a couple of miles more to either Wallgreens with the nice employees and a drive through, or Stop and Shop and get gas points. read more

I had been getting a multiple month supply of my prescription for 2 fills. I go to pick up my third refill and it's not the correct amount. I spoke to the pharmacist who was very rude. Started telling me I've never filled a supply for that much and the last time I filled anything at Clinton CVS was 9 months ago...When I had been there 2 times since then??? He accused me (in a louder voice for other customers/employees to hear) of not taking my pills properly, going to another pharmacy, and filling the script under a different name?? I felt as though I was being treated like an addict looking for pain pills. This is a very common, everyday prescription I'm getting! He said according to their system, they have no record of my last 2 fills?? Well good thing I have the information printouts with the dates and Clinton location on them proving when and where I filled them. Told him I would be back with my paperwork. Two days later I dealt with a different pharmacist. Showed her my paperwork which she said she didn't need as there is record of it in the computer! She was understanding, but said she had to contact the doctor to straighten it out. I was told it would be a few days as it was a Saturday evening. The next day at 9am I get a phone call saying the prescription is ready. Finally after 3 trips to this place in one week they gave me the correct supply. I doubt they contacted/heard back from the doctor since it was weekend. Obviously an error on their part, but very inconvenient for me as a customer. I would have easily shopped around the store and probably purchased things if they needed time to sort it out. That was never offered to me. Then they hassle me to sign up for automatic refills or to refill through their app. I can't even imagine the problems those options must have if they can even fill an old fashion phone order correctly. If you are a customer, do yourself a favor and be sure to save all your paperwork and open your prescription bag at the counter to check it before you sign or pay. Was quoted one price over the phone and went to the new drive thru to drop off the prescription and encountered the rudest, eye-rolling and sarcastic pharmacist ...was thinking of moving all my prescriptions, about six over but NO WAY! An assistant who had a red beard actually asked to see my phone, the number I called and the date to which I complied. I had called, had gotten one price and Had spoken to the sarcastic pharmacist. NOT ONE APOLOGY!!! Very rude and argumentative. Not sorry I won't be going back! I felt it was time to comment on the poor customer service received in both the pharmacy and the store at this location. Each time I go to the pharmacy the staff are rude, slow, and unhelpful. Most concerning is that aside from their poor attitude, they discuss patient prescriptions, their customers - often by name in front of the public - while also shouting out details of the item that you are waiting for! Despicable. First time I thought maybe it was a bad day, but the pharmacists and the clerks continue to astound me with their lack of confidentiality, friendliness, or customer service. In one instance the pharmacist insisted that my dr wrote the rx incorrectly because he was unaware of the product's alternative uses/methods. The front is no better- with long lines and attitudes to go with the poor upkeep of the CVS brand. I use the Guilford store instead and sadly this one in Clinton is near my home. read more

So annoyed by the lack of customer service here today that I created a Yelp account. Ignored at the photo desk for over 10 minutes while the slim middle-aged brunette behind the main counter (no name tag, unsurprisingly) waited on customer after customer who walked up to her and finally snidely asked me if I needed help. I told her I was there to pick up photos and she told me that I should have come to the main line since she was the only one there. (She could have done this when she first noticed me standing there but she preferred to ignore me and waste my time.) Proceeded to retrieve my photos and cash me out without so much as a please or thank you. Uh uh! I worked customer service for years. This is not how you do it. Beyond that, the store itself is in a less than ideal location and the parking situation is scary given the number of seniors who drive in and out. Inside, a poor selection of jumbled merchandise. I've been a CVS customer for 15 years, but never again at this one unless in cases of emergency. I'll go to the Walgreens down the street. read more
