I went through the drive-thru & dropped off a hard script w/ 2 meds from my PCP Friday after they were unable to reach or receive a call back from this location over 2 wks ago. I never received a call/alert that it was ready, so I did not return until yesterday. Young lady at the window informed me that no meds were ready & asked if I were sure it was this location. I told her that it was her that I gave it to, and that she had instructed me & young man in pickup in next aisle "to wait so they could check if they had meds". She then instructed me to go inside, in which I had to explain situation to 3 individuals, including a manager. All telling me that I had no meds ready & that I got scripts filled at the Ellerbe Rd location. I had just had 3 scripts refilled at this location after last visit to MD about 2 wks ago. I was asked to retrieve another or have MD office call it in. I asked if someone would answer the phone, because that's the reason I had to get a hard script. I then asked how they could lose a script. As I stood waiting to speak with manager, I could see how the workers could be easily distracted, loudly talking about everything but the job. An older man standing in the work area (not sure what his job was) jokingly told them that they were being too loud. I was treated as if I were delusional. I wonder if I had been treated better if I had gone in wearing my scrubs that day. I'm sure they would have told me the video cameras footage does not go back that far or something, if I had pushed the issue. They are rude & unprofessional. I truly wish there was a negative star I could select, but there's not. The CVS on Barksdale is the absolute worst I have ever had to deal with in my life.! Your prescriptions are never ready on time, the website is terrible and a pain in the butt and so are the people they have now . They screw up all the time, there are so many examples but I'll just say two of them.... #1) they gave a little boy with Covid, blood pressure medication and a sedative/depression medication by mistake by not checking thoroughly the address and everything they should do. #2) They were busted /raided by the DEA for goodness sake!!! Now with all of that being said, I am done with this place! All of my prescriptions as well as my husband's is being transferred! I firmly believe that place needs to be shut down good!! if you don't believe me, Google it.... read more

The service is slow at the pharmacy area, some bad attitudes. The pharmacist told me i had 2 meds too many in September and wouldn't give me my meds on the 28th and told me to come back on the 29th. I went back on the 29th and the meds were given to me with the date of the 28th on the bottle. I have to travel 40 miles to get there. read more

Update store hours?? I went online and it said they opened at 7am. I tried to walk in the door at 7:44am and it won't open. There's no signage on the door indicating their hours. So I called assuming that Google was wrong. Nope! They do in fact open at 7am. I am waiting outside to see if they open at 8am but this is ridiculous. Any other CVS is opened right now. Whoever manages this location needs to update their hours, put a sign up, or something. read more

Pharmacy took my ID and did not give it back, noticed the next day that I did not have it. So I called to check. CANNOT get a single person at the pharmacy to answer the phone and the store assistant manager keeps transferring my call instead of helping me. The call never gets answered. I can't drive around without my ID so I'm calling to verify its location before driving to the store but they refuse to help me. Terrible customer service. Honestly ridiculous. Why won't they just help me?? I even called back asking to speak to a manager and was told they're not available and my call was, yet again, transferred to pharmacy. I've been on the line for about 20 minutes now and no one will answer my call. read more

Went in for medicine and left with fake eyelashes. I was hoping to pick up the set they had for $15 that included 4 sets and was 50% off. But they were sold out. The employee that asked if I needed help finding anything, was very helpful and showed me where I should be looking instead. So I did get my medicine, but I also got a pair of fake eyelashes. $14. The pharmacy was helpful and friendly too. I didn't have to wait long. The location is also convenient and access is pretty good to both Barksdale and Jimmy Davis. read more

Just a heads up...if you need a controlled substance prescription filled you might want to contact a different CVS in town or another pharmacy altogether. I regularly fill two controls at the Barksdale/Bossier location but was told last week (on 7-28-23) at my doctors appointment that I'd have to have my controlled RX sent to a different CVS or another pharmacy due to this CVS location being under investigation by the DEA for the high number of controls being filled at this location. Dont know how long this will go on. My sons controlled RX has been "delayed" since July 18, 2023. Going to have to get his dr to move it somewhere else next week if there's no resolution at this CVS location. Also be prepared to wait in long lines snaking down an entire line to pickup prescriptions of any kind inside the store. Theres also long slow lines at the drive thru. read more

They don't take Tricare so I've never dealt with the pharmacy. I like how clean it is and the staff is pretty friendly. You can find some brands of makeup cheaper at wal-mart, but they will have sells. I like how they sell Korean makeup and facial mask you can't find anywhere else. Also, if you bank through USAA they have a USAA ATM so that's pretty sweet. read more

I've been to several CVS stores in the Bossier/Shreveport - Haughton area since I moved here from Texas 2 years ago. My pharmacist and the techs at the Barksdale location have exceeded my expectations on EVERY occasion. I wish that I could say that about Haughton. The pharmacist there was horrible, offered no assistance, I had to pull it out of her and the end result was a trip to Walmart to fill a prescription, I mean, not even an offer to check other CVS locations or offer up a generic replacement. Horrible disposition. The Barksdale store has always greeted me with hello and offers of service. The Pharmacy at this location is one of the best in the area. Props to the Airline and US80 store as well. They've been very helpful in the past as well. read more

Very slow pharmacy. Not very friendly either. Second time I went I drop off the prescription and came back an hour later and still had to wait. Then when I got home, I notice one of the prescriptions was missing and had to go back!! There are at least 7 females working back there and you would think they could be better organized!!! This CVS has improved over the last few years. They've become pretty reliable, and the staff is friendly. Good--but often SLOW--drive through service. The photo center is still a disaster, frequently impossible to get service, but the pharmacy has come a long way. read more
