I was here recently to pickup an online order for the infamous Patti LaBelle Sweet Potato Pie (Family Size). Although I scheduled a curbside pickup, I was on-foot so I had to go inside the store to pick up my order. Once inside, it was noticeable and understandably busy due to Thanksgiving being the next day. The area for pickup was on the right side as soon as you enter the Walmart so there was no need for me to venture far into the store. I had to wait about ten minutes for an employee to come out with my item. While waiting, I interacted with a couple of the employees about their thoughts on the pie and a recent concert in NJ that I attended & so did the employee. I can see myself coming back to this Walmart location but it will strictly be to pick an online order.

The positive…read more Walmart is still my favorite place to grocery shop in the Bayonne area. It offers all the essential grocery items, decent produce and, most importantly, the best prices. They also offer electronics, car accessories and many other things. My tip is for you to check their website for in-store items and once you get there you know what aisle to go to. (Costco should learn this from Walmart!) Furthermore, there's always plenty of free parking. What could be improved? Well, first of all 4 out of 5 shopping carts have some type of problem. Either their wheels are stuck or another similar issue. (Now Walmart should learn from Costco's smooth carts!) Also, they no longer offer self checkouts, so those old self check out machines became 15 items or less cashiers. But with 4 machines being reserved (aka"wasted" ) for Walmart plus members (you rarely see one) the lines are each time longer.

For instance, I had a bad virus infection earlier this month, and the pharmacist explained thoroughly about my medicines as well as which nose sprays I should use extensively and which I shouldn't. Yesterday, I stopped by to ask for muscle relaxers because I hurt my back. I couldn't bend down forward and I was in excruciating pain when I try to sit. But what I got was more than that. The pharmacist behind the counter gave me advice on what to do - Go home, take my Advil with food to avoid stomachache issues, apply heating to the muscles where it hurt and relax. I felt like he genuinely care. Even though I didn't walk out of the pharmacy with what I intended to get, I appreciated the good directions on what to do. I followed exactly what the pharmacist (sorry I didn't get your name if you're reading this) told me to do and I felt 10x better this morning. Thank you!!

I went in to fill a prescription for a medication that I've taken on and off for over 20 years, but…read morehave had trouble filling recently due to a shortage. My regular pharmacy was out of all dosages of that particular medication, and told me I'd have to check around to see where I could fill it. Another pharmacy had a lesser dosage and a higher dosage than I was prescribed. Kept provider updated, so that dosage could be adjusted or another pharmacy could be located. I'd stopped in St. George Pharmacy a week or two ago, and was told that they carried that medication, but not the dosage I'd been prescribed (but they won't specify the dosage they carried). I didn't happen to have the pill bottles on me at the time. I came in today with two pill bottles of varying dosages to see if they had either dosage. The pharmacist took both behind the counter to then tell me that they didn't carry that medication at all (so why take my pill bottles behind the counter?) to then ask me again where I normally fill it (which I explained, but was on the label), why I didn't go there (I explained that again), then told me to look him in the eye and said that I needed to go back to the original pharmacy ask for a supervisor and tell them to find another location to fill the prescription! (I'd already inquired.) The pharmacist was so incredibly rude! I made to feel like a criminal or a drug fiend for trying to fill a legitimate prescription! I'd also popped in months ago and looked around (they have some hard-to-find products) and noticed that there was a label on the shelf for 99% isopropyl alcohol and an empty space, but no product. I asked, was told that they would order some, was told the delivery date. Came back multiple times before I was told it was on back order and that I should just order from Amazon. Very strange and rude. I would've expected better from a neighborhood shop. I will not be returning.
