I waited for my prescription, expecting to receive a text message as promised during the drop-off. After nearly two hours without any communication, I decided to walk in. I've gone to this pharmacy for 4 years while studying at SJU. The pharmacists have always been super helpful. When my medication got sent to another pharmacy by accident they called for me to get it transferred. I've also had one of the pharmacists call the insurance company for me when my insurance wasn't covering. They have always made sure I know the cost and that I get the lowest price possible. There can be a long line but you can find times where it's not crowded. read more

I want to start off by saying that the staff in this store was welcoming and helpful. They helped me find what I was looking for very quickly so this negative review pertains to the product itself. I bought a container of this thing called "Magnesium" after I saw a coworkers results from using it. I have been taking it 2 times a day but still have not seen any improvement. I feel like I was ripped off. I am not magnetic yet. I think buyers should stay away from this product if you're seeking being magnetic because it doesn't seem to work. Should I double the dose? Does anyoes anyone have any advice? Maybe it's just my blood type and I can't help but be disappointed. I will do some further testing with Neodymium, Cobalt, and Iron. Zero stars (if I could) for Zero effort. We utilize 5 other CVS pharmacies in the area because of the incompetence at 101 City Ave. Maybe 4 pharamacy employees have been helpful over the last 5 years. Employees at other locations seem to have the will, knowledge, and compassion to do their due diligence to promote patient welfare and well-being 101 City Ave pharmacist do Not care about people and it shows. I do not normally leave reviews, but I felt my experience has earned this location a TERRIBLE review! My wife had a prescription sent in at 6 and we arrived at 7:30 and they said they did not receive it. The next day we called and they confirmed that they DID receive it. Needless to say, she missed a day of taking her prescription because of the laziness of the store. I should also mention they will not answer the phone, ever. When I came in the next day to get the prescription the pharmacy was closed for lunch. So unprofessional and poorly run. The management at this location should all be replaced. read more

I would have given the store a five star rating except for the somewhat unclean men's lavatory. Walking into CVS tonight because I had a 20% off coupon on all nonsale items for an investment of over $30. I wound up spending $73.71 because many items were on sale. Such a deal! Checking out at the automated kiosk, because of some coupon challenges, Amber, the CVS associate, quickly cleared the problems. Amber was very professional and helpful. The store itself is new and big but that's the only good thing about it. The pharmacy is always so busy which is understandable but the employees there are so rude. You can be standing at the drop off counter for 20 minutes and not only won't they greet you, they'll ignore you and pretend that you don't exist. I swear they look relieved when you walk away and out the door because it means less work for them. What they don't realize is that once I'm out that door, I will never go back. I'm officially a Rite Aid girl for all my prescription needs-- they're usually swamped too but they're always at least greet you and treat you like a human being. read more

It seems it's time for an update. Used to like this CVS a lot, but now I feel sort of uncomfortable when I go to to the self checkout. It's no longer a discreet way to buy your personal items and be on your way. Their new thing is to have a CVS staffer come by and harass you as you're checking out. Well... it's disguised as "help", but that's not how I view it. Who, in their right mind, needs HELP at the self checkout anymore? They've been around a long time and most people won't attempt to use it without knowing how. That being said.....LEAVE ME ALONE! I don't need a cashier coming over to scan my items for me. We recently moved to Bala and made the mistake of transferring our prescriptions here without reading the reviews first. Big mistake. The pharmacists here are completely incompetent. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or they just don't care that much about their customers' needs. My husband needs a specific brand of medication that he could get pretty easily from our former pharmacy. Here it was a big deal that seemed to greatly inconvenience the pharmacists. On top of that it was a huge issue to get a partial Rx fill while we waited for the specific brand to come in. We will be transferring to the Rite Aid or Acme pharmacy ASAP. On a side note, the counter staff were very kind and efficient, but the experience with the pharmacist was enough to deter us from ever coming back. read more

The head Pharmacists Vivian and Mike go above and beyond. But most of the newer, younger staff seem nasty , standoffish and are quick to give a "No." instead of a solution. This has been a long standing issue before Covid. I should not have to go into a Pharmacy and be told I don't have insurance coverage, when I present my card, give the correct numeral info and pay full price. Only to refill the prescription the next month, relay the issue to The Head Pharmacists and my insurance goes through. THIS HAPPENED to me everytime I get a new prescription card or when I was rehired and my insurance came back immediately. The new Pharmacy assistants need classes on patience and empathy. I feel very Angry I have to keep going through hoops to even get service. In a time like Covid, yes healthcare workers count, but that does not mean you have a flippant attitude with your customers as well. We are all struggling. read more

This happen on 10/26/2014. We want to CVS to get candy for the kids Halloween because they had a good sale on candy. So we was walking around the store to look for some of rhe other items in the circulars. So we found them and went to the kiosk to get our coupons out then so mines came out then my Husband said let me see if I have any. So he tried to retrieve them by different phone numbers because he didn't have his card so then he put a number in and something was wrong with the machine when he keyed in thenumbers it keep starting over. So then the coupons finally came out so he proceeded to go and get some more candy so we can have a lot of candy for the children to come to the door. Well he went back to go get some more candy I went to the self service line and was checking out my item I did the candy first because you got a $5 coupon and then I proceed to get the other item and paid a dollar and twenty something cents for the rest because I had a whole bunch of coupons but they didn't take so we had to go up to the cashier to checkout she was very rude very unprofessional and she was a young girl first she was rude to my husband but he let it slide then she kept asking him about the cvscard and he told her that he don't have it. She was really acting like we had took somebody coupons all I had to do the going to camera to see that he pulled the coupons out. So he was so frustrated with the young girl that he said f__k the candy and let's go. But when I was getting my last three items the self-service register stopped working. She had to call the manager to get my coupon out of the coupon box so she had to ring my stuff over. Then a customer came in and said my husband is coughing and we're going to dinner and I need to go now and at this time she was waiting on me and two other people was in a self-serve line and she was very impatient so she went to the machine that I was on which was broke and will study fussing and hollering. So the cashier which name is India said I'll be right with you in a moment so she left me in the middle of my transactions to go check this lady out at the self-serve register because she had dinner plans and I told her excuse me I have dinner plans also I have to get home. Then when the young girl came back over to finish checking me out she snatched my $20 out my hand. And I said excuse me don't snatch my money out my hand then she proceeded to say I didn't snatch your money I said I know when someone snatching something. And then she placed my money on the counter. She act like we had other people coupons but I had my saving card. So my husband said enough is enough where's the manager he found the manager and I proceeded telling the manager what had happened it didn't make no sense that shes unhappy with her job and not getting enough money because everyone that came in there before us had a problem with her and she was the only one at the desk but don't take it out on us because people will hear about it. So the manger said that he was sorry and he will have a talk with her. So if you go their beware of the young Girl. And We will not be going their any more!!!!!!!! absolute slowest and understaffed cvs pharmacy ive ever been to. no matter what time of day i go theres always a line of people at the pharmacy counter and only one employee available to service customers at the counter. i understand that the pharmacists have other responsibilities but thats why they need to hire more people to assist customers. although this is a 24hr location they do NOT offer 24hr pharmacy services. in fact, their pharmacy hours are horrible. they are never open any later than 7pm. i truly regret switching my prescriptions over from the cvs in center city but they no longer offer 24hr pharmacy services. i anticipate switching from this location to one that still offers 24hr pharmacy services. read more

This is by far the worst CVS in the area. The pharmacy staff are all inadequate. I live in the area and each time I fill a script here they have difficulty with my insurance. They tell me my insurance is no longer active or they don't think they have the correct insurance information, even though they filled my script last month. I then call the insurance company and they have no record of them processing anything. Idiots! read more
