I booked an online haircut for "short" (there is no description for what short, medium, or long…read moremeans, I had slightly below shoulder length hair and wanted it cut to be above two inches). When I got to the shop I was immediately asked who I booked with and what it was for. They did not ask my name to look me up. When I said Michael they asked me to take a seat. Two ladies and Michael then gathered around the front desk 3 feet away from my chair and offered to take the appointment for him. He asked the ladies why it was booked for him and they said it was online. He sighed rolled his eyes and said "No I will do it". He told me it would be a medium cut as short was around the ear length. Once I got in the chair he was friendly. But he did not listen to me about what I wanted my cut to be and he kept correcting me on my terms for hair-cutting tools and how I did not want it done. He did it the way he wanted and my hair did what I told him it would (I have thick, fine, straight-as-a-board hair) it fizzed out and looked like someone chopped at it instead of doing layers or thinning underneath where it is not visible. That is the only way to give me volume and take the weight off without giving weird frizz lines in my hair. Then they charged me for a long haircut without saying why I was charged for long and not medium. It took 27 mins to do my hair and I have never been so ready to be out of a salon. Do not go here if you are looking for a cut. Do not book with Michael if you want the price you were originally told and do not come if you don't want them to comment on your coloring and try to upsell you to fix it.

I had my eye on this place the last time couple of times I was in town, but unfortunately, the schedule was always a week or two out... which of course is a great sign in my opinion. So when I arrived a few weeks back, I told myself to get on it lickity split. And sure enough, I was able to book a date while still in town. Let me tell you, if you have always had a "go to" barber or stylist, it can be a bit nerve racking when going somewhere else, and by someone else. Queue up Carly Simon's "You're So Vain"- but c'mon... aren't we all just a little? So, I opted for the works. Shirt, Shower, and Shave. Oops... wrong place ... ahem... I mean a cut, beard trim, and shave. WOW!! Talk about feeling like Beyoncé and her diva self... man... what a treat! I explained some of my frustration with a cow lick that makes me feel like a Little Rascal (and I don't mean Spanky) and Diamond had an answer for that. She nailed the cut exactly how I wanted it, and then moved onto the beard trim. She gave the perfect fade and trimmed it up nicely. Then came the shave... that's the spa treatment I mentioned earlier. Hot towels before and after. Nice clean smooth shave with a single blade razor. I felt refreshed and clean. I didn't know who I was going to get today, but I can promise you, Diamond delivered all Aces! I hope to be here on a more permanent basis and once that happens, no need to look any further than Diamond. And if not, I'm sure any other MotherFather in this joint will do. But she's the total Bees Knees!! As always... Enjoy and Happy Cutting!

Diamond is awesome but she's always booked. So if you want her you have to book early.read more

They…read morewent to several salons on the street and they were turned down, being told that no one cuts women's hair. Wait, what??? Anyway, the appointment was for 1230 today. Due to family miscommunications, we arrived late, which seemed to really annoy the stylists since they made a point of mentioning it. Seems weird, since they were literally sitting around doing nothing at that time. Yet when we informed them about the appointment, they had no clue what we were talking about, even after we gave them her name. My mom has extremely short hair and it would not have taken more than 30 minutes to cut. Not one person offered to help us out in any way. This is HORRIBLE customer service and it makes me very angry that myself and my parents were treated like this! As a 'customer', the women who work here came across as very snobbish and selfish. Fortunately we were able to get an appointment with another place, but for these stylists to not even try to help us is absolutely outrageous. I guess we weren't important enough to be considered customers, unlike the stream of people who came in after we left. Even if this was the only salon in town, I would travel miles out of my way to avoid this place. Because of these people, they made what was supposed to be a pleasant trip rather toxic.
