Sally has done my mother's hair, as well as my own for a number of years. We are both happy with her skills and pleasant customer service.

Being a 1st timer I didn't have a preference on who. When we got there the person we got assigned to her name was Lyndsay or something like that. I feel bad dropping names here.. but, you can't improve if you don't know what you need to work on. First off she didn't greet us and introduce herself. How did I know her name? I had to search the website. I did all the initiating. I showed her the picture of how my son wanted his hair cut. I told her he wanted a blowout taper which is longer in the back. I told her I was going to go run errands and come back. My son has the screenshot of the image if she needs it for reference. She goes no I don't need to see it again. Came back my to pick up my son and the haircut was nothing like what he wanted. He had a cut similar to a bow cut. My son was so mad. The cut was sooooo short. He said so many kids were going to make fun of him. Overall, ask questions if you are unsure. This lady was just very rude how she spoke. Not friendly at all. This review does not reflect the barbershop as a whole. I am sure there are many talented barbers here.. but, this barber couldn't achieve the look we wanted. Looks like she is just a basic fade type.

She then said, "Hi." I thought that if she worked there she would ask if she could help me, or if I was looking to get a haircut. When she didn't say anything else, I asked, "Do you work here?" She responded with an eye roll and a "Yes." I would have picked up on it if she would have stood up and offered to help me. She still didn't ask what I wanted, making me ask if I could get a haircut. She got up and went to an appointment book on the counter. There wasn't anyone in the place except for us. She looked at it for a minute and then decided that she could give me one now. I felt like I just entered The Twilight Zone. She didn't speak one word to me during the cut or after the cut. The next words out of her mouth were said as I was handing her my debit card, "We only take cash or check." I told her I would be right back, as there is an ATM just a block away, and I asked how much it was. She said it was $15.50, but that she had to leave right now so I couldn't bring it back. She also said I could just have a free haircut. While I agree it should have been free for the amount of pain I endured from her clippers and hard combing on my scalp, there was no way I was not going to pay. During my cut, a gentleman came in and made another appointment for an hour later. I was praying that he would stay and not leave me alone, but alas Rod Serling wouldn't have it that way. So I asked her, "Won't you be back for the man that just made an appointment?" So she agreed that I could drop it off then, which ended up being 45 minutes after my own personal Twilight Zone episode concluded. I walked in at that time, making sure the aforementioned gentleman was inside, placed a $20 bill on the counter, and walked out. So you might ask, "How was the cut?" I had told her that I wanted a trim and for the sides to be on the ears. I even said, "I don't want whitewalls." Well, I am now sporting whitewalls. I guess it's back to Sheboygan to the franchise places.

She had a look on her, that something was going to jump out and bite her. Asked her what she was doing? She stated, "she was looking for Little critters." She announced it to the whole room. The business has a echo in it. I didn't say something because if I would have it wouldn't have been nice. I allowed her to cut his hair. It was a chop job. The hair was not cut the way I asked. Nor were the layers even even. I could have cut the same haircut at home. I did bring it up to her after the haircut. I explained to her that I spent a lifetime assessing patients. And never once in 32 years did I tell a patient I was looking for creepy critters. It's humiliating to say that to children, to clients, to parents. I doubt the other patrons in the establishment want to hear that. I don't care where you work. Give it a 110% or get out. Don't take your misery out on the clientele. Sheboygan on Taylor.
