Her website was easy to navigate and There was a lot of options for picture packages. I chose the first years package with Teagan photography which included maternity/newborn/6 months and one year. That was definitly a great decision on my part. The maternity portion we first met with Allison the photographer in the river valley and she made you feel at ease. She gave us a little sneak peak on the camera and a facebook sneak peak shortly after. I was so excited with the pictures. The newborn pictures were done in our house and I was just blown away with how patient she was with our little girl who pooped and peed all over. Being a brand new mom she took away the stress and was very relaxed and just worked so well with us and the new baby. Again we loved our pictures and she was quick with all of the sneak peaks. We have had our 6 month session and I have just been blown away with the great pictures she has taken and how well they all work together. In a few months we will have our 1 year pictures but they will not be the last! In the end she will bind all the photos in a book and we will have an awesome keepsake of our little lady. Again so over the moon with Allison of Teaghan Photography. She is just the perfect blend of professionalism and talent!

Kelly didn't disappoint on any level for our wedding. He stayed with his fabulous second shooter…read moreuntil the bitter end and captured everything. We had so much fun shooting the "formal" shots in airlines and at the comic book store, and our guests couldn't get enough of the awesome photo booth. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kelly to anyone looking to work with someone who will really capture the feel of their day.

I cannot recommend Kelly enough. We found out about Kelly because another friend had hired him. I…read morewas impressed with his ability to manage the gigantic groups for the group photos at that wedding and his eye for detail so when my fiance and I got engaged I immediately looked him up. I had been part of other weddings where the photographer did not handle big groups well and I felt that Kelly's own ability to manage may have been a good indicator of his experience and expertise. Now, having gone through my own wedding with him as my photographer I was definitely not disappointed. Throughout our entire experience with Kelly we were impressed with his professionalism, attentiveness, but especially his friendliness. I feel like his photo style reflects a bit about what you can expect when you work with Kelly - relaxed and easy-going yet detailed and professional. His pictures are the perfect touch of candidness and in the moment yet beautifully composed. He gave really good instructions for us modelling newbies which was another concern of mine. But luckily, he knew how to explain poses well and how to direct us and the bridal party. Another thing that I loved about Kelly is that he was willing to take into account the bridal party suggestions and the personality of the bride and groom. I was part of a wedding where the photographer militarily stuck to their planned poses and rejected most suggestions from the bridal party. The photos did not capture the heart of the bride and groom or the bridal party. My friends were incredibly disappointed in that experience. So make sure you find a photographer that you jive with! I also highly recommend spending the extra to do a day-after or engagement shoot with him. We loved our day after pictures and he came up with such brilliant ideas for them. You get more time with Kelly in your respective wedding outfits so the poses and shots get to be more creative. It is wicked fun. Of course he is a bit on the medium-high price range for Edmonton wedding photographers. But for my husband and I that was one area we felt it was okay to spend extra on while cutting costs in other less important areas. The wedding day goes by so fast that many of our friends and family said photography is one of the most important parts of your wedding planning as they will be the ones capturing the memories. We now have photos that we love showing off and getting prints of.

My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Between showing up to view my photos and Jim…read morenot being there, to the multiple attempts to contact him, it's literally been one of the worst experiences of my life. Once I finally got in touch with him and went to view my photos, he locked me in his office and made me feel very uncomfortable. He pressured me to pay an absurd amount, which sadly I did because I felt I had no other option. I tried to cancel my order(within 48 hours of the appointment) and asked for a refund, but of course, he never returns his messages. By the time he messaged me back, over a week later, he said it was too late and my order had already been sent to be printed. I was told the edits would be sent to me for approval before printing, and they never were. He claims he sent my photos to another country for printing because no lab in Canada meets his standards.... ya, okay?! I asked for proof that they were sent to another country and of course, nothing has been provided. If you are looking for someone professional, this is not it!

They do a really great job at professional photos, are easy to book with, and have a fast turn-around time for getting the completed picture sent. Every Christmas, they go to the Stollery with Santa, to let the sick kids have a photo with Santa. Highly recommend Avonlea for your professional photography needs.

The photographer is a gruff guy who doesn't seem to care. The photography session was slow. It took a long time to even get in to review the photos. And the photos themselves are nothing special. Since they're just family photos, I don't care too much. But I wouldn't recommend them for regular photos since they're so expensive. And I wouldn't recommend them for weddings based on their portfolio.

Curtis was our photographer, and every aspect of working with him was awesome. Having wonderful photos was a top priority for me, and after booking the church and reception venue, our photographer was next on my list. Curtis' photos are exceptional, and I am so happy he was a part of our wedding. We did an engagement shoot with Curtis as well, which was a really fun way to get to know him, and also for my husband and I to get comfortable with having our photo taken. I am beyond thrilled with how our photos turned out, and planning out our day with Curtis was a breeze. We met a week beforehand and planned out the day and a shot list (including a good weather and rainy weather shoot locations), and I was completely at ease with Curtis whenever he was shooting us. He was never intrusive at our wedding, but managed to capture all the moments perfectly, and his experience showed at many instances - I really appreciated guidance on how to toss my bouquet for a perfect shot, and having someone else guide the photo taking and help pose us. After our wedding, we ordered photo books and prints through Curtis, and they are beautiful and high quality. I'd highly and enthusiastically recommend Curtis to any couple looking for wedding photographer.
