We had the pleasure of attending a delightful kiddie birthday party and Ms. Penelope did a fantastic job of face painting plus making balloon animals for the kids. It was a superhero themed day, so Mini-me got a sweet makeover to match her Batgirl outfit. The design was all freehand, not from an art book, with black and gold colors completing a superhero ensemble. Mini-me enjoys sitting in the makeup chair and she really loved her fresh, painted mask. Ms. Penelope was endearing towards the children and made all kinds of critters, flowers, and balloon swords for each and every child that wanted one. She also reminded them that they could come back anytime to her that afternoon if they needed to replace a lost balloon. She knows what's up. A few remakes were in order. Roxy the Clown was on time, professional, and most importantly, great with the kids (and adults)! My guests loved her fun, glittery face/body paint and her balloon toys. It was my son's first birthday party, and I was slightly apprehensive about the large age range of our guests (babies, toddlers, elementary-aged kids, middle school kids, high schoolers, young adults, and - of course - parents and grandparents). Last week I used a cute clown for my work at a Skilled Nursing Facility and the residents LOVED the clown! We requested Cutie Pie Clown for our daughter's birthday a couple months ago, but she wasn't available so we had Princess Yoly instead. Cutie Pie communicates very well via email and responds quickly and professionally. Although Yoly had a little trouble finding the place :) (she did call and let us know she was running a little late, no biggie) we had a great experience with her, and we LOVED the face painting! One of the moms even complimented her to me, saying that usually when her daughter asks them to paint a dragon, the other painters usually say, "are you sure? don't you want a flower or a heart?" but Princess Yoly didn't flinch and painted an awesome green dragon. Seriously, the paints and art were cool! Maybe I'm just used to facepainting from the 80s using paint "sticks". Princess Yoly ran the musical chairs, and also helped the balloon artist (friend of ours who did it for free) with some of his balloons =). I would definitely recommend them. read more

I'll say this: I generally hate clowns. I find them creepy and weird. Cutie Pie is neither of these. She's great and is worth every cent and much much more! As the father of a 5 year old child with Down syndrome, I was antsy about getting a clown for my son's birthday party since he tends to get really scared at pretty much everything. But the wife insisted, so she got what she wanted as usual. It turned out to be a great decision. My boy loved her from the moment she walked in the door and we fell in love with Cutie Pie too! She entertained the kids with all the usual stuff (her face paintings are actually pretty amazing) and most of the kids ignored our other games because they were spending time circled around her instead. Since our party a few months ago, we've recommended Cutie Pie to a few of our friends and they rave about her too.
