I am giving this store 1 star. This boutique has been in the royal York and bloor area for many…read moreyears and I live relatively close. I had never been too interested in this store until I noticed that they were having a 70 percent off end of winter sale. When I walked in, there were 5 saleswomen who worked in the store all talking loudly around the counter and ignored me as I walked in. Even as I got close to them they completely ignored my presence. Now, this is a higher end boutique and I knew this walking in. Because I live within walking distance I was dressed neatly but very nondescript. I can't help but feel I was ignored by the saleswomen because when another, more well dressed woman walked in she was greeted immediately. While I have no problems paying for higher end clothes I did not feel some of the clothes, for example a plain button up shirt deserved the price tag of 475. While I was interested in a couple items I decided that the poor service and manners and pretentious attitude of this store did not deserve my business. My advice would be to not venture in unless you are very well dressed and ready to drop a massive load of cash. If you are looking for designer, high quality clothes, there are many other friendlier shops in Toronto with a better selection. Ps- I have noticed that there is one filtered review for this store in which someone also experiences the rude sales clerks in this store. I am not sure why it has been filtered but it would be worth reading.

Three ladies were in the store just chatting & no customer as it was still early but they just looked at me as if asking me if??? until I asked for a particular product, which by no means was cheap but they were out of stock and I was promise that they will have them back in stock soon and that they will let me know. I will not be patronizing that store for sure even tho' I live a stone throw away. One lost customer is too many in this day and age where choices are dime a dozen

Being of a selfless sort, I'll give away my best-kept sartorial secret whilst hoping that no one…read morereading shares both my style and size. The Comeback is the best women's consignment store in the city, hands down -- cross my heart; I'm a cast-off connoisseur. They only sell brand name clothes less than two years old, so while there's no vintage, it's like having a personal shopper who plumbs the mall for the best items. It is a Winners-killer. Perfect for a frugal soMEone who's not into shopping but likes having quality stuff. My finds over the years are too many to list, but some of my favourites include a $13 Harvey's seatbelt bag, killer Diesel jeans for $11, a stylin' $45 Mexx interview-type suit that evidently did the trick. Everything here is sorted by size instead of colour, which is precisely how all second-hand stores ought to be. The stellar organization makes it way faster to find things, and the finds are so abundant here that I always creatively interpret the six-item limit at the change rooms. Older stock will get discounted up to 70% (I think), but tags are sometimes not marked down yet, so ask and check the date on the tag to see if it might get further reduced. It's exclusively women's wear and accessories, but no shoes. While clean and orderly, the store probably hasn't seen a reno since Michael Jackson was black, but who cares? Not I. This place deserves a bajillion stars and is absolutely worth the trip out to Etobicoke.

I've only had experience as a customer. This shop has a mix of both high end and affordable brands…read more Everything is organized either by brand or by style or designer which makes it very easy to shop. The clientele is middle aged women mostly and the clothes reflect that. You'll find J.Crew, Aritzia, Club Monaco, a lot of activewear brands, and for designer some Michael Kors or Tory Burch but nothing overly expensive. They mark down items after a month or two, and the prices are pretty fair.

The Sherway Gardens store is really large and in one of the newer wings. It's a really nice store actually but even though it seems large, it doesn't carry a lot of sizes or stock. I find it worse than the online store. The clothes are refined, elegant, and a little nicer than your usual store... it's good for a price conscious Princess. I would say that it works well for the office and some tea with the Queen. I do find their sizes a bit different as it is European sizing so even though you 'think' you're a small... try the XS and M as well. You never really know. I've been here a few times and the service is all over the map. Sometimes it's friendly, great, and with a great eye to help style an outfit. Other times, it's as damp and dreary as a London fog. So don't expect spectacular. When I went this time, they were some good discounts to be had... just unfortunately they only one or two sizes in each item and that's it.

It just shipped and the next day, the item went on sale and now it is only $338CAD. I want a refund for the difference and they are ignoring my emails. Disgusting customer service. I will be filing with the Better Business Bureau as will as the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Protection, and take this to social media, please advise as this is horrible. Don't do business with this company. Update, they finally replied after this negative review, stating that because my size is no longer available they cannot refund the difference. What garbage my size WAS still available when it went on sale, I know because I was tempted to buy another at the sale price and return the other one but gave them the benefit of the doubt that they would resolve the issue. They ignored 5 emails for 5 days then said sorry, nothing we can do as your size is gone, what BS. They just want to keep my money. As an overseas shopper, they are scamming me. BUYER BEWARE

She used to take a lot of stuff to Josy's a few years back and although she hasn't popped in in the last few years, she suggested we try her for our alteration needs, especially considering the shop is near where we live. Given the service we received, I'm sad to say we won't be patronizing this establishment ever again. The one lady on the floor was on the phone the entire time and although she clearly saw us come in, didn't so much as nod in our direction to acknowledge that we were there. Not a quick "I'll be with you in a minute", nor a smile. Nothing. And it didn't sound like an important business conversation from where we were standing. The lady on the upper level (whom we presume to be Josy) eventually asked if she could help us after a good three or four minute wait. After inquiring about wedding dress alterations, she asked if we had purchased it there and when we replied in the negative she said that they "usually don't do that". She then quickly changed her tune, claiming that her seamstress (who was supposedly on vacation) MIGHT be able to do it "if she had time" after altering dresses purchased there and to call back in a month (!!) when she was back from vacation. Now I'm not sure if this is the standard with most fashion places / seamstresses but I can tell you that Jean's Fashions (right down the road) was more than happy to help us out....they were actually happy to have our business and didn't treat us with contempt or indifference. I'm not sure if both ladies were perhaps just having a bad day or what but that's really beside the point. Isn't the customer king or queen? We're a pretty respectable looking young couple but even if we weren't, I still wouldn't expect such surly service. You had more than a fair chance to get our business but you lost it quite quickly!
