My favorite is a huge steel desk with a rubberized top, the top looks like it has some hammer marks in it - built to stand up to anything. Very 50's looking. A real bear to move, but I think it was something like $100 - what a deal.

I really wanted to support a local company but they would not budge on the price. They then pulled out a Hon book and quoted me a price on a new one, found the exact same one on-line for 50% less. So much for the sign outside their office that reads "less that big box prices".

I have shopped Staples for years and it was always a favorite. The store has completely changed…read moresince newer management. The newer woman manager is not customer focused at all!!! Sometimes the service is very poor and the kids they hire are not trained, in my opinion. They need better management . I was told by an employee that the manager just sits in printing dept and stares at her computer and ignores customers. I would give a ZERO Rating if I could . She never welcomes anyone. They say they do not sell many computers from the store for certain reasons so they tell you to buy online. I have to say I went to best buy and the service was way above board. They did not tell me to go home and order online. The one gal and a few of the former guys I have gotten great service from in tech are nice. I really used to like the store but I really do not feel welcome when I come there. It has changed so much!!

I struggling to navigate the printing process and asked for help from a tall brown haired woman, and she said a couple of things I couldn't hear and walked away. Finally my partner came to help, he couldn't figure it out either. The brown haired woman was right next to us, throwing away papers. She looked over, seeing us struggling and didn't even offer any help. She and the white haired woman kept looking over, but didn't help. There was another woman behind us and asked for personal help as we were struggling, and the women working there told her to just wait behind us. Good to know they aren't customer oriented.

After spending a few weeks reading articles and researching ergonomic chairs, I went on the hunt. My tush tested well over 40 chairs, true story! She finally found the dream chair at this store. It supports my lower back and neck and feels wonderful! Frank, a store associate, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He checked prices and offered support. I informed the sales woman who eventually approached me that I was interested in a particular office desk and cabinet set and asked for a quote. I got the feeling that she was not very interested in my business, but I figured it was all in my head. She then took my email and phone number.......and that's the last I heard from her. No call, no email.......no communication. I went back today to see if there was another salesperson I can speak to, unfortunately they were closed.....it was Saturday. Is it normal to wait so long for a quote? I hate that I have to write this review, but something about the sales woman's approach towards me rubbed me the wrong way. It might just be in my head, but if six days have passed and no one has contacted me to follow up.....is it really just in my head?
