Faculty and staff are disconnected from online students, almost as if they don't see them as students at all. Very poor communication with major departments (registrar, student services, bursars office, etc). Getting feedback on assignments was close to impossible because, quite frankly, they don't respond to emails in a fair amount of time. I've taken online classes at other institutions before and didn't have any problems, so I'm not against online programs. In my opinion Wilmington struggles with integration. The only thing they see in common with an on-campus and online student is the check they cash.

Mrs. Bernat emailed me back and told me to call her. This wonderful lady explained the step by step enrollment process. Because she was so kind and eager to help me, I enrolled in fall semester of 2012. I filled out an admissions form online. I called to schedule a placement test. After the placement test, I spoke to a college advisor that helped me choose my classes. My college advisor, Mr. Handling, is wonderful. Mr. Handling has taken the time to understand my educational needs, which has made my transition to college much easier. He has guided me in choosing the appropriate classes for my major. This summer, I decided to take summer classes. Mr. Handling advised me that summer math classes required lots of work in a short period of time. He suggested that I only take two classes this semester. I am so glad I listened to him. The college advisors at Delaware Tech truly care about the academic success of the students that seek their guidance. My most challenging class was my math class this summer. I could not have passed my math class if it was not for my previous math teacher Marney and my current teacher Amanda. In addition, there is a wonderful group of tutors at the Math Success Center. I spent my summer at the Math Success Center being tutored by Marty, Chelsea, Rich, Kyle, Paul and Sam. I was really struggling to learn algebra, however, with the help and encouragement of all the staff members at the center I passed my class. I could not thank the math center staff enough for their dedication and determination to see me and other students do well in class. They truly do care and strive to help everyone that enters the Math Success Center. The service is free and worth taking advantage of. I am truly grateful and appreciate every person that has sat with me and encourage me at the Math Success Center. I truly love being a student at Delaware Tech. The teachers and staff are super friendly. The College student body is very diverse. There are many non-traditional college students such as myself. I was scared to be the oldest person in class. It is wonderful being in a class with people as young as 18 and old enough to be a grandparent. I truly love Delaware Tech!

Their low price, generous scholarships, and no out-of-state tuition sold me. I set up a payment plan and worked hard. Fast forward 4 years later, I graduated with my bachelor's degree and absolutely no debt. Add another year, and I graduated with my MBA and no debt. After he was notified that her tuition was paid, became completely disinterested and mean spirited toward her. I may be naïve, but I was appalled at their treatment of her. The facility is very nice and modern, they have lots of nice goodies available in a pretty fancy lounge area for students before class and during breaks - our class was in the morning there was a large variety of bagels, donuts, muffins, machines making mochas, cappucinnos, and other coffee drinks, tea, other stuff - comfortable chairs and little tables in a break area with a big screen TV set to ESPN and nice big windows.. all the staff we dealt with here seemed very enthusiastic, efficient, and friendly , and the instructor was very knowledgeable and great, we learned a lot! this school teaches all kinds of courses related to aviation, I highly recommend it based on our experience..
