Their incompetence and lack of craftsmanship led them to hire another company to complete their project correctly because his crew continually made mistakes. Although I was told they had done this type of wall system before, I now don't believe that is truthful based on their performance. I constantly caught mistakes the owner/project manager missed, experienced a structural failure after a rain storm, etc etc etc. Truly the worst contractor experience of my life.

We chose Chris's as a recommendation from a contractor who has worked with many of our family members on home renovations and repairs. Also we love to support local businesses. The kitchen was installed March '15 but we did not move into our home until June '15. I gave 2 stars because the cabinets are very pretty and turned out exactly how I wanted them to look. They are simple white shaker style. We have a 12x12 kitchen and had only upper/ lower cabinets and a refrigerator box installed. No trims or island or anything fancy. We spent over $14,000 on just the cabinets. We also used them to order our Ceasarstone counter tops. I went in to Chris's with a picture that I had drawn of exactly what I wanted my kitchen to look like. I just needed someone to make it happen. While the experience with the representative/designer was just ok I was willing to look past that for a beautiful custom kitchen. Once it was installed we were given one chance to let them know if anything wasn't up to par or needed fixing. Our representative very adamantly told us there would be a $150 charge after that if we saw anything else of concern. We had them fix one drawer that didn't roll right and that was it. We really weren't sure what to look for and trusted that they did their best job. Once we moved in however, we began to notice that the construction wasn't up to par. Not to mention that I was very specific when ordering the countertop and requested sharp corners not rounded. Request not granted. Because of the hassle of ripping up and reinstalling the counter (which is what I should have insisted happen) I let it go. The point is that I don't feel like I was listened to by the representative. Almost immediately upon moving in, the rubber dots on the drawers and doors started to fall off. They were yellow and discolored to begin with. Like they were old. We've lost and replaced about 90% of them. We even found some in our toddlers mouth that we didn't notice had fallen off! We also noticed that our garbage drawer was off and sort of shimmed when constructed. Whatever screws they used to install the handles are not flush and the paint is chipping wherever a screw touches the wood. Lastly we already have paint chipping and cracking in some places. Maybe that's normal wear and tear but I don't believe we should have to repaint our cabinets after 3 years. We thought about writing a letter to the company or calling our sales representative but didn't think we would be heard. We are upset about the quality and construction of our cabinets but we learned a lesson. We could have saved a lot of money by going to a big box store. We are local business supporters but for our next kitchen we will take our business elsewhere. I've included pictures of the poor construction. They might seem like small things but to us the small things matter.

After getting a few quotes for the job, Signature Countertops was the best option for what we were wanting. I drove from Indianapolis to take a look at everything they had in their warehouse. Bailey was super helpful throughout the entire process. I had some photos of things I liked and she guided me through some options that were similar and in our budget. I ended up purchasing the Thunder Mountain granite. We purchased an under-mount sink from them as well. 2 weeks later someone came out to measure everything before they did the final cutting of it and 2 weeks after that we had it installed! It was so much faster than I expected. The guy who measured and the 2 guys who installed were quick, very professional, and offered to clean up the floors and things afterwards. Definitely would recommend them for a job any day!

One day for drop-off of materials and the other day for installation. While the finished product is solid and I'm pleased, this experience lacked the polish of our first two installs. The "bummers" included the team arriving fairly late, almost 1-2 hrs than planned. Installation didn't finish in the one day we were scheduled. It took them 3 days and they weren't consecutive, so it took more like 3 weeks. The team didn't install pads on furniture, like the other installs, and it resulted in deeply scratched boards that had to be pulled up and replaced again. Thankfully we had extra material. The good that was appreciated included well cut corners for the kick board, took accountability for the scratches and fixed without a fight, and agreed to install a very small piece of footboard we didn't originally have in place. Note: pay by check to avoid any credit card fees. My husband paid the deposit with a credit card, which I asked him not to do, so they credited the card and let me pay the full amount by check. If you're considering flooring I do recommend you call them. We have gotten quotes easily and quickly, which is the first step in project planning. Knowing what to budget is half the battle.

The problem is when I contracted them to install a basement egress window. Very different experience here. I have tried to work with them on getting to a good conclusion, but i believe i am stuck with a shoddy looking window form the outside. Looks nice from inside at least. In short; -It took them much longer to finish once started than promised -My window well is crooked -The egress cover doesn't fit properly (looks haphazard) -My irrigation system is still leaking due to carelessness (not from the digging actually) Additional concerns; -Basement wall interior has many chunks missing from it now. (fixed) -Irrigation system cover damaged during backfill (dirt was just laid on ground, not on a tarp or piece of wood as I was told it would be). -Dirty/no post job clean up in basement. I removed the rubble myself, a mess still remains. -Instead of leaving the backfill dirt as promised, they took it all, so the soil around the window is depressed again. (still sinking and i have no backfill dirt) -My fence was not repaired properly from removal and damage done by backhoe. (fixed) -They tried to put the window in the wrong place. (caught in time)

Crew leader Alex was very helpful. My home over 100 years old and the basement was probably hand dug. My wall that needed service was made of stone, brick and mortar. Very pleased with our job.

Called again asking for her, she's not in yet but should be here anytime. Hours later no callback 3rd phone call asked for Tracy this time told her the issue, she apologized and said refund was done and would email me a receipt. Apologized for Katina stating she was overwhelmed with a home renovation and moving. I don't want to hear excuses. Never got the email receipt from her either Y'all are evidently not good at customer service, calling back or following up and DO NOT deserve my business. I guess because I was only buying a remnant and not a FULL SLAB!!! Really didn't deserve even1 star. Don't tell a customer you have another appointment either without an apology.
