I recently had Jason and his crew remove a old, large oak tree that had sustained some damage and was a danger to my house. We had some delays getting work started. Various things required the job to be rescheduled a couple of times. But it was worth the wait. I had a very large tree in a challenging location. I had a few other guys that declined the job. I also had a couple of quotes that were MUCH higher than what Jason charged. I knew that the job was going to require special equipment and these guys have exactly what was needed and the experience to do the job safely. I yelp messaged and Facebook messaged around 20 different tree removal places in my area. This company responded fast and came to quote the job fast. 3 other companies also responded quickly and came over to view the dead tree for a quote. Of those 3, only one other company followed up with a quote saying it was too risky of a job to take on. Jason at custom tree service answered all my questions and performed the job exactly as he said he would, on time. May I mention that he provided next day service. The dead tree was huge and at the base of a hill. He also removed the stump. I feel I Received impeccable service, and I will recommend him to everyone in my neighborhood. read more

I had had several estimates to remove a tree from my back yard. Jason gave me a reasonable bid. After a couple of visits the crew showed up to start the work. He claimed the delay was due to personnel issues. He didn't have enough help to do the work. The crew worked for four hours the first day. At 1pm I asked them if they were coming back and they said that his employees didn't want to work anymore. The work was less than half done. The next day, the crew returned to complete the work. The tree was removed without much incident. When Jason was ready for payment, I asked about the damage to the lawn and fence. He claimed that he "did not bid to repair the lawn" and that the fence was already damaged. He claimed he did a great job and that he was all done. I mentioned the sticks, limbs, and debris still on the deck and he shrugged it off. For the work that was done I would not recommend this company for work. They are lazy and cant keep proper help. They are inexperienced with customer service and the finer touches of completing tree work. read more

We highly recommend Custom Tree Service! They do great work, are very responsive, and for a great price. We had several overgrown trees with limbs growing into the main power line (overhead) in to the house. They very carefully took down the limbs without disturbing the power lines. Last month I used Yelp to request quotes to remove a dead Elm tree that was less than 10 ft away from my house. Jason gave me a very competitive (verbal) quote within a week. Explained he could not do it until late August, so all was very well understood. A date and time was set and he and his crew were here right on time (7:30 AM). It was difficult to reach the tree (other trees, part of the garage and a shed were on the way) but Jason demonstrated a great control and coordination of his equipment. After 4 hours of work, the 40+ foot tall tree was gone, all debris removed, the roof of my house cleaned up and I was very happy. On August 15 Custom Tree Service was hired by my neighbor not me and when he was cutting down the tree he dropped it on my house. Then he stated that he would be by the next day and he was a no show, so long story we are now at 15 days and I still have a hole in roof with water damage in my living room and here is the biggest kicker I have to pay almost 2000.00 which I had to take out a loan because he dropped a tree on my house and refusing to take responsibility for what he has done and just pay for the damages in full. read more
