We spent some time talking and he was happy to look at another of our trees. This time the news was much better and he gave some free advice. He gave a very fair quote along with all the other info I needed to make a decision. When he drove away, I was convinced I had found the right guy. But my wife wanted other quotes, so I wasted time doing that before I had her blessing to get on the Simply Trees calendar. We got squeezed in much earlier than expected and today the crew showed up and did their thing. They were friendly, careful, professional, & fast. And when they pulled away, you couldn't even tell they had been there - apart from one tree gone and another very well trimmed and looking so much better. Some harsh weather over the past couple of years also caused numerous trees to break, fall, or weaken. Jonny is an excellent communicator, and laid out a multi-phase process to restore the forest so that we can start to develop the next generation of trees and maintain a mature forest. Vines were cleared first, followed by felling dead/dying trees, then final clearing so that material taken down can decompose naturally in the forest. He always checked in as he and his team progressed on the job, making sure they were hitting the targets we wanted without getting too far (to a point of no return). They were courteous, kind, and thoughtful about their approach. They also were able to complete the job within a few weeks, allowing us a chance to get a head start on planting already this season. We also benefited from their services to shape a couple of trees in our front yard that were due for a trimming. We will most definitely go back to them for any tree needs.

Mick makes an effort to assess a job and offer cost efficient approaches. He is very knowledgeable about trees, their overall health and general life span. His crew is hard working and they work well together. They are friendly, but don't chat on forever--they get to work. Our yard is always left clean, wood stacked from the felled tree, and little imprint left. One thing: Mick is not someone who spends a lot of time on his phone. Don't leave him phone messages. Texting will get through to him but maybe at the end of the day. The reason is, he's working. That's a plus as far as I'm concerned-- he works and doesn't spend time checking his phone.
