This trip was my second and last trip with Custom Holidays. I signed up for a trip months ago, made the payments and was excited to go with myself and two other couples, unfortunately a slip, brain bleed, ICU for a couple of days ended my hope of going. My friends and I tried to find someone to take my place with no luck, my friends continued the experience without me. Upon return my friends informed me that my room was sold to someone else and I should call for a refund. They knew this because when room keys were issued, and MY name was called, and a woman came forward and accepted the room in my name. My friends were even so bold as to ask the woman if she had paid for the room and her answer was yes. When I called Custom Holidays to ask about it, I was informed no one took my place. Who gave the key in my name, who accepted the key in my name? I was also informed I would receive no refund, partial refund, or credit for future trips, even though likely they sold the same room to two different people, accepting payment twice. The other two couples I was going to travel with had other issues during this trip with Custom Holidays that I do not feel it is my place to share, but none of us will be using this travel group again. read more

Terrible mystery trip! We paid $114 for a bus ride. We basically spent 6+ hrs driving around! Stopped at a retreat center out in the boonies to sing Xmas songs... then a tree farm to see Xmas trees. Then we sat in a small sub watching Xmas lites on a home. Very disappointing! Did not follow CDC transportation rules. Very few passengers wore a mask. read more

I wasn't too sure about using a travel agency since I've planned family vacations before, but was I wrong! They made the process so simple and care free. I was able to enjoy the trip with none of the stresses of planning the details! We also ended up paying less than our budget because of great deals they found! Owners of this vacation tours need to stick to the information that comes with the tour instead of what they want to do!! The destinations that were chosen. were interesting and worth seeing. The problem with the tour is the owners of Custom Holidays. I really do not complain but this couple that owns the company were more worried about what there plans were and could care less what the 38 other people wanted to do! Most of the people on the tour had a great attitude and went with the flow, but in the evening everyone was tired and the owners disregarded the obvious and could care less about the tourist. Dinners that were booked was a disaster!! Instead of checking reservations for the next day and making sure the times are set, they would just depend that the destination was ready for us (which some were not) The bus driver would try to keep to the schedule but custom holidays would do what they wanted. Then we were told that we were the slowest group she has ever had! I could go on and on about all of the shellfish decisions the owners made, but I could write you a book. Research your vacation plans and everything about the company so you do not have the problems we had! read more
