Chapel Hill Florist popped up as one of the top search results with a 4.5 star average rating with 15 reviews. Good enough for me. From their Yelp page, I clicked through to Chapel Hill Florist's website. When I shop for flowers online (https://www.yelp.com/collection/BsisJC9_j6A_evQYhzGxqw), I usually don't take long to decide which arrangement to purchase. I was immediately drawn to the "Summer" link at the top of Chapel Hill Florist's front page. My wife loves anything local and seasonal, so checking out their Summer flower selection was definitely the way to go. There were five bouquets, starting in price from $49.99 to $99.99 each. There was also a Designer's Choice option starting at $49.99. These flowers weren't for a special occasion and I just wanted something relatively basic, so I went with the Designer's Choice option. I liked the description: "Baffled about what to send? Or perhaps you want to surprise them with a one-of-a-kind, artisanal arrangement? With our Designer's Choice bouquets, you pick your price and our expert florists exercise their creativity to design a beautiful bouquet using the freshest seasonal flowers available. When you send a Designer's Choice bouquet, you can feel confident knowing our expert floral designers will create an unforgettable flower arrangement. Please note that flowers and designs will vary as our artisan florists work with the freshest, in-season flowers and their own personal inspiration - but you can be sure your bouquet will delight!" Sold. I immediately proceeded to check out. I went with the "Standard" $49.99 bouquet. The total was $64.48 after $9.99 delivery charge and $4.50 sales tax. I ordered on a Monday night around 9:45pm and was able to select delivery for the next day. The flowers arrived at 11:48am Tuesday. Fast. I got a delivery confirmation email and the driver left a note saying the flowers were left at the door. Perfect. It didn't take long for my wife to see the flowers because she came home for lunch. She loved them. She said she couldn't stop smiling. The flowers did their job 100%. I'm a good husband. The flowers were also popular with the ladies on Instagram, judging from the numerous responses my wife got when she posted a picture of the flowers to her story. I was curious what kinds of flowers would come in the arrangement because I left everything up to the shop. My wife told me the flowers included lilies, snapdragons, mums, garden spray roses, regular roses, zinnias, and more. The bouquet is beautiful. Just take a look at the pictures I posted with this review and see for yourself. I recommend Chapel Hill Florist and would order from them again. Chapel Hill Florist's physical storefront is located on West Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill. It's in the same three-story brick building as Lime and Basil Vietnamese restaurant and a Google office, directly across the street from Target. During our final consultation meeting with Diane a little over a month before the big day, it made me even happier that we found this team to work with. We talked more about my vision, colors, flowers I liked, etc. and I let them run with that and let their creativity run wild. What I got in result were florals and arrangements even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! The pieces used for our ceremony were stunning, and I loved that we were able to have them moved during the reception to enjoy them even more! My bouquet (I believe it was made by Amanda) and my MOH bouquets were gorgeous. I wish I could have frozen them in time and kept them forever. I especially loved how they incorporated my favorite flower, peonies, into the bouquet and different table arrangements. I can't thank the team at Bowerbird enough for creating so much beauty to frame our wedding day. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Love, Chelsey & Jason

Your stores are always full of…read morebeautiful high-quality products, a wide selection of unique items and staff is mostly pleasant. However, I was reminded why I don't shop there more this past weekend. It absolutely dumbfounds me as to WHY you feel the need to charge people a 4% surcharge for using your debit or credit card??!! And when I mentioned it to one of your employees they seemed completely dumbfounded. I was raised on a small family farm and have run several different businesses. I understand how accepting credit cards eats away at your bottom dollar. But, unfortunately, that is the price we pay for owning a small business and the ever changing modern times. Especially now, MOST people do not carry cash! They certainly DO NOT carry hundreds of dollars in their pockets for the unexpected or planned out trip to your business! You do other things as a small business to help absorb the credit card fees, instead of penalizing your customers. Your prices are certainly plenty high enough to absorb some of these fees. And if your credit card companies are charging you too much, perhaps it's time to switch to a more affordable solution. So to charge us for buying annual flowers, vegetable plants, perennials and shrubs locally from a smaller family-owned business rather than some place such as Lowe's or Home Depot. Then penalizing us by up charging with a 4% surcharge seems a bit harsh. In fact, wrong. Instead of shopping with your stores, I'll be supporting your competitors including Living Landscapes, Inc., Rock Creek Supply, and more. And steering clear of your business for this reason alone. The businesses I mentioned are more than happy to take my debit card or credit card and not charge me for it. Since, I spend hundreds, if not thousands every year on flowers, vegetable plants, mulch, and landscaping supplies.
